Running a program on a disk and the window is stuck in the upper right hand corner, cant move it bc the menu bar is hidden, help?!

Im running a disk from a text book and the window is stuck in the corner and i cant seem to get it to move. Ive tried restarting the computer and the disk, moving it to trash, changing screen resolution, using mission control, command+M, and nothing is working. Everytime I open it up it goes back to the same location on the screen. HELP!

Remove the disc and don't use it again.

( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

When I open an email, my computer won't go to the link listed, or when I am doing research the same thing, then I see a ALLOW in the upper right hand corner of the screen and I have to click on that. What happened and how do I fix this?

Somehow my settings have changed. When I open an email and there is a link, my computer won't allow it, also when I am doing a search, my computer won't allow certain links to open.
What I see is "ALLOW" in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and I have to click on that in order to continue my email or do a search. How did this suddenly happen and how do I change it back to being able to roam the Internet without having to click on ALLOW all the time?
Also, I set up Google as my home page, but it won't list Email or any other options. I have to type in Google in the Google box, then Email appears. How do I get the right Google set up as my home page so I can access Email without jumping through hoops.

Just switched from CS6 to PS CC. I am very comfortable using ACR in previous versions. I liked to use the preview checkbox located in the upper right-hand corner to see before and afters. That checkbox is no longer in my version of PS CC. I see that they have side-by-side, top and bottom and right and left before and after options in the lower right-hand corner in this version. Is there anyway to get that legacy preview checkbox back so that I can use it?

My ipod nano 6th generation doesn't appear on my itunes or my computer everything is up to date on my laptop and when plugged in theres a charging symbol on the battery in the upper right hand corner

I have dual displays. My dock is on the MBP bottom and the menu bar is on the extended monitors top.

I have a Dell 2408 acting as the main display and a 15" MBP. For some reason, today the dock ended up on the MBP screen at the bottom and the menu bar is on the Dell at the top. I can't seem to move the dock back to the Dell. Can someone help? I tried moving the menu bar to the MBP and then back, hoping the dock would follow but no luck.

When the dock is defined as on the bottom, it will appear on the screen of the extended desktop that is lowest.
Move the second monitor where the bottom edges are equal or the Dell is lower and the dock will move there.

In that same window - the one where you see your backups - click on the box at the bottom that say -Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads form syncing automatically. Then click OK and quit iTunes.
Connect your iPad to the computer and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left side under the devices heading and select - Restore from backup. A window will pop up from which you can select any of the backups that you have for the iPad. Select the backup that you want to restore from and then go agreed and restore the iPad. Sync with iTunes when you are done.
Remember that when you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup to the iPad. You cannot selectively restore content. It is all or none.

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Startup Disk Not in Upper Right hand corner?

Hi! Has anyone noticed this behavior? Normally whatever disk I startup from it becomes the disk icon placed at the uppermost right hand corner of the screen however I just restarted from clone partition on a secondary disk and the icon was not at the uppermost right hand corner of the screen. I thought well it just didn't boot from the clone however clicking on each volume in disk utility showed that only the disk in question had the "repair" button greyed out indicating that it was in fact the startup disk. I've never seen this happen before. Tom

Hi there Thomas, My mac does that all the time. There has been never any rhyme or reason to it either. The first time it happened, I said Oh Oh. Because I didn't see where it went.. I have 3 other hard drives on my desktop with my HD. And every once in a while when I restart, they are moved to the other side of the screen. I know this has nothing to do with your partitioned drive. But I figure my 2 cents worth anyway. I just move them back to where they are supposed to be, thats the upper right hand corner on my desktop. If I thought it wasn't normal I would have flipped out a long time ago, LOL. Sounds that you have security software that doesn't trust Firefox and blocks internet access by default, so you need to check that out and make sure that Firefox gets full and unrestricted access to internet.
