Running Apps as Administrator

Before upgrading to Windows 10 Technical Preview I used Windows 7 but I had enabled the Administrator account as use it as my sole account. One issue I've run into though is that now Windows 10 wont let me run apps will an error that says something to
the effect of "This app cannot be opened using the Administrator account". This seems incredibly stupid to me, since I prefer running my computer as the Admin since I'm the only one using the system and I want FULL permissions to do whatever
I want to my system without being constantly harassed with "are you sure? messages. Is there a setting somewhere that will allow me to be logged in to the Admin account and still use all the apps.

What Apps are you referring to?
Are they desktop apps or modern apps?
In start, search for UAC and open User Account Control and see what level is it?
If possible, report this issue using Feedback App.

How can IT departments set up basic users to run Captivate with Administrator privileges?

As we all know, on WinVista and Win7 or later systems Adobe Captivate must be launched with Run As Administrator privileges in order to function correctly and not crash. But the problem here is that in many corporate environments general users are not allowed to have Administrator access to their own work PCs. This presents something of a dilemma for IT departments with Adobe Captivate users.
Some time ago on this forum one of the Adobe technical staff chimed in on a thread about the Run As Administrator command and explained the technical steps required to set up a Group Policy in WinVista/Win7 that would allow a basic user to always launch Captivate with the necessary admin privileges even though they did NOT have Administrator access to any other app on their PC.
I have searched in vain to find that particular thread and post, so I've started this thread in the hope that someone at Adobe can again chime in to detail the necessary steps again.
So is there anyone there that can help out?

DOH! my bad.....I/we run WinXP at present and no UAC.
However, all may not be lost, try some of these options as posted on teh MS Technet forums....An admin person may need t do this first to enable this for that user...

Try these two options:
Using Compatibility Mode
NOTE: This will allow you to always have the program run as an administrator when you open it.
1. Right click on the program shortcut or program .exe file, then click on Properties, and on the Compatibility tab. (See screenshots below)
NOTE: If you are doing this while logged on as a standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to also click on the Change settings for all users button and type in the administrator's password.

THANKS for your prompt reply Bluetooth is off in my laptop and IPhone.. and in fact the reset is the only thing that can make it back to normal. But for a lil while. 1. Is there any way to "toggle off" background Apps? I have no need to keep newspapers, books, games, etc running in the back only to have to "Double tap the home button, hold the icon till it wiggles, tap the negative sign, close the bottom panel" - useless wate of time.
2. If no, any shorter way to close an app other than the method described above?
How about just flick up on the Home screen to get to the running apps bar (what do you call that bar anyway?) instead of having to click the home button twice?
(You wouldn't believe how much noise that stupid button makes when it clicks when your partner is sleeping and you are reading in bed!)
3. At the very least can't Apple just make the background Apps already have the little negative sign on them when they come up (like the close program "x" PC programs now have)? It would at least save the "hold till it wiggles step".
4. Don't even get me started on the Mute button that only mutes system sounds (which I have turned off anyway) yet makes be do a whole bunch of steps to be able to screen lock! Can you say "user selectable function"?

And unnecessary. Maybe once/week you would want to enter the multitasking tray just in case you have a thousand or so apps in the background.

Don't get me started regarding an issue where Apple did exactly what I had hoped they would do.

Double-tapping to switch between or clear running apps is not working with iPhone 4s.

when I double tap to close out or switch between running functions, it does nothing ever since yesterday. I have the most current update since last week and the home button works for all other purposes so it's not broken. Now my battery is draining because I cannot shut off running apps. Please help!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’re running into a multitasking issue that’s preventing you from switching between apps or forcing them to quit. Try restarting your iPhone, as shown in the article linked below.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that doesn’t do it, you can always try restoring the iPhone to factory settings too.

After the update I don't know how to close running apps? I recall double clicking the main button then hold one app until they begin a jiggling motion. But that no longer works.

How do close running apps?

You still double tap the home button and the apps are lined up across the screen. Swipe up on the app preview thumbnail - drag it up off of the screen - and that will close the app.

Can I partion my drive on macbook pro 10.5.8 to add snow leopard and not affect my leopard? I'd like to run apps on snow leopard which cannot be run on leopard.

15 is probably enough. And if you kept your home dir in a separate volume then you could use your same home dir on both leopard and snow leopard. This is one of the reasons I recommend keeping the home dir on a separate volume. Very convenient for switching OS's or needing to use a (backup) copy of the current OS.

IIRC, OPTION-click on the Apple icon on the menu bar and select either Restart or Shutdown. Alternatively,
Control-Command-Eject
Quit all applications (after giving you a chance to save changes to open documents), then restart the computer

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Can you run apps saved on external drives? Is it possible to run them and save your app data only to the external drive?

1. It varies depending on the application; ones which used an installer as opposed to drag-copying them to the Applications folder may not run.
2. If the folders containing it are stored on the external, yes. This may require creating symbolic links or putting the entire home folder on that drive.

Googling shows that you have the 1G iPod. For apps you need at least iOS 2. The iG can go as far os 3.1.3 that you get here:
Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)
Just be aware that there are presently not that many apps that work with a 1G with iOS 3.1.3

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

Now i am not able to run APP .
In F110 i have entered correct parameters .
i have issue which can be seen in screenshot -item marked in Boxes used to appear earlier when i used to run APP successfully earlier .Now these appear blanc .
I have APP configuration which is not touched and kept in read only mode past many years

This is due to vendor master is not complete, if in payment method bank detail and Street, P.O. box or P.O.box Pst Code check is on, then complete this detail in vendor master for address data, bank data, then test it gain, this will work.
