Running Designer in multi-user mode on Citrix

We have multiple developers accessing DS 3.1 Designer via Citrix.  Each time a developer logs in and launches Designer, they see the previous developers db log in information.  We have since implemented the RunDSDesignerMU.bat script, but we're still having the same issue.  Any ideas?

I think this is not possible as debugger attaches to the java process over a
specific port specified during wls startup.
Now if a debugger session is already active (read using the port) how can
others attach to the same port
Wondering why your are encountering this limitation. Ideally debugging is
done on development environments where each developer has a dedicated instance
to play with. Even in the event you go for a single installation, you could
create multiple server instance, one for each developer

The problem we are facing is that starting WebLogic in the debug mode only allows
a single user to debug at a time. It does not allow multiple users to remotely
debug. Also, when a user is debugging, the WebLogic instance cannot be used by
other users - even for normal execution.
Supporting Information:
1. We have installed BEA WebLogic 7.0 on a Dual Xeon Processor machine with 1GB
RAM and deployed our J2EE application on this server.
2. The development is being done using JBuilder 8.0 Enterprise edition. All team
members have JBuilder 8.0 installed on their local workstations.
3. When we need to debug the application, we have to start the WebLogic server
using "StartRemoteWebLogic". This allows us to remotely debug the application
from our local workstations.

We are developing an information system based on a DataMart populated with data using ETL processes built with Data Integrator. We are three people developing and when we work at the same time we begin to have problem of performance with Designer. Designer seems freeze sometimes and development process becomes painful.
Where is the problem? accessing repository? Is any known bug?

What do you mean with 'working at the same time' ? You need 3 different repositories if you want to work with 3 developers, so there should be no impact at all when working simultaniously...

  • 4.3 Multi User Mode; Where?

According to Samsungs Official Site and the 4.3 Upgrade it talks about having us have "Multi User Mode"  Which means you can pass your smartphone to someone else, they can log in and have access to all their stuff (emails Im thinking)
But I cant seem to find it on my cell phone.  How bout you?
So then a Samsung Agent said it wasnt currently available on my device and gave me a list of what did change.
It said "Updated Interface: Home/Apps/Lock/Notification Panel" So I asked....what changed on Lock screen...perhaps the Multi User ability?
She said "No, a signature lock screen" I said "Hmmm" Yeah you have the ability to use your signature to lock unlock your device.
I said ....."I didnt get that update"
So I'm here asking the rest of you...how do I access the Multi Users function...where is it and also did anyone else get a "signature" option for lock screen?
    Thanks

Sorry it took so long to respond; been busy.
Okay well what I viewed was off of Samsung's website so I know Verizon has nothing to do with it; just kinda sucks that its advertised and I'm mis-informed by the creator of my phone LOL
Providing Verizon will let me provide a link to a 3rd party site heres the link I got the info off of:

  • Can't boot in to multi user mode

After a reboot, Arch went blank before launching gdm - it wouldn't respond to C-A-Backspace or anything. So I booted in to single user mode, and changed the runlevel to 3 and rebooted. When I try to log in from the CLI, the computer hangs, and never prompts for a password. Does anyone know what might cause this, and how it can be fixed? Until then it fixed, I'm stuck with my damn iBook running YDL
    Thanks!

You could lave the machine off for a while, start it, let it freeze, shutdown, wait some more, then post here everything with a relavent timestamp from the logs.  Assuming you can shutdown without messing up your filesystem that is - if you have to press the power button to turn off I wouldn't do too much of that.
Also, what did you do before the reboot? any upgrades?

  • Does Firefox 13 run in a multi-threaded mode and can it utilize quad-core processors?

When purchasing a new PC, one chooses between dual-core vs. quad-core processors and some people claim that Firefox run in a mulch-threaded mode and treats each tab as a separate process and that it can fully utilize the advantage of a quad-core processor. Is that true?

Firefox doesn't treat each tab as a separate process. While this may be a feature sometime in the future, I don't know of any plans to introduce it anytime soon. Obviously, buying a quad core processor is going to be significantly faster than a dual-core, and your browser is usually less resource intensive than many other programs. I wouldn't use it as your purchasing decision. Firefox will run equally well on a dual-core or a quad-core, but windows and other programs will run better with 4 cores.

  • Multi User Mode Won't run Program

I have Route 66 USA running with the windows gps device which came with the program. Originally I installed Route 66 as an administrator. Since then I have changed my account to a standard user and added an administrator account and a third user account.
Route 66 only works with my original user account or any user I setup with administration status. It will not allow the program to run from a second standard user. Why? I don't need admininstration account to run it using the original user account.
Apple Care will not help me figure out how to change the permissions and ownership to allow this second user to run the program because its 3rd party software even though I asked for help figuring out what the ownership/permissions stuff is all about or what they mean.

    1. It is possible to do this in the Finder, but will
likely be more reliable and convenient to do it in
    the Terminal.
    2. You can run that command from any admin account on
the machine, and it will have the same effect from
    any admin account.
    3. Not for a third-party application, as the receipt
for that application inside /Library/Receipts isn't
consulted if it exists at all.

    Hi ,
This is my first post in this forum.
Hope you people will help to resolve the issue.
My issue - I have downloaded the latest patch cluster (Feb 11, 20100) and tried to install it from single user mode.
Nothing happened. I have waited for more than 30 mins, still no progres.
Then I killed the process, and tried to run it in Multi user mode (To verify any issue with extraction or file) -- Its working(and killed the process) !!!
Anyone facing this strange issue ?
Appreciate your help to complete the patching.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
If you're encountering issues with a patch cluster bundle your best bet is to contact [email protected] From the description it sounds like there may be a filesystem not mounted in SUM that the cluster is trying to patch.

  • 10.6.2 SMB - QB 2005 PC won't run in Multi User

    Hi there,
This is a pretty specific issue but i'll throw this out anyway.
I setup a brand new 10.6.2 server alongside our old 10.4.11 server.
I cloned the contents of the "shared data" from the old box to the new one.
We have had the SMB service running for Quickbooks 2005 running on 2 PCs (Xp Pro clients), shared via QB's "Multi User" mode.
The new server's SMB share, identical in permissions etc to the old one, will not allow QB to open the file in Multi User mode. It gives an error to the effect of "Your company file has been damaged". My attempts to repair the QB file had no effect.
If I copy the same company file back onto our old Tiger Server's SMB share, it works fine. I assume this is simply a difference in Samba versions, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot it.
I obviously have a workaround for now, but it's less than ideal to have an entire Xserve on to share a Quickbooks file.
    Any insight would be appreciated.

  • Problem with mode switching/Volume Panel in multi-user environment?

As above - using Windows 7 64-bit with an X-Fi Titanium Fatalty card.
All works well as long as I'm the only person logged in, but if my wife logs into the computer (using Windows 7's built-in multi-user mode...'fast user switching', which is enabled by default), and then I log back in...well, the volume panel app doesn't seem to work. In fact, even using the control panel app, I can't regain control of the soundcard enough to switch modes.
Logging her off doesn't resolve the issue, so it seems like something about her logging on (another user logging in, two volpanlu.exe running, something) is causing my instance to go haywire. [FWIW, I'm a 'standard' user on the PC, and her login is a 'limited' user]
Note that 'killing' the task volpanlu.exe in task managed, then going to the Windows services control panel and stopping and re-starting the 'Windows Audio' service, and finally re-launching volpanlu.exe from the start menu DOES always work to resolve the problem (regardless of if she's logged in or not...this always fixes it).
Still, that's a kinda annoyingly large set of steps to always have to go through whenever I want to change audio mode after she's logged in.
Is there any way to fix this? Any setting I could be missing to optimize the X-Fi control panel for multi-user environments? Any of the X-Fi mod dri've packs handle fast user switching better? Any other ideas?

GA little bit more tinkering around this, and I have some more information:
    - Once I "seize control" (the kill of volpanlu, restart 'Windows Audio' service, re-launch volpanlu), if my wife logs back in, now *she* can't change the audio mode

  • Trying to access Lion server remote using multi-user access, but from a legacy Leopard system

Just purchased a mini server running Lion, and got screen sharing working fine from my legacy system (32-bit so Leopard only). However, I would like to run in multi-user mode, so someone can use the Lion system and another person can access their own account, from the older Leopard system, at the same time. Using multi-user rather than screen sharing. But Leopard does not have the option on the Finder/Share Screen command, the pop-up window to select screen sharing or new virtual session. So, is there a way still to run a new virtual session from a remote client running Leopard?  Since the multi-user capability resides on the Lion server, it should be possible, but how, without the pop-up menu?

  • Single user mode session lost after backgound processes jump in

We have an application running on SQL server. This application restores DB very frequently using Single user mode. Following are the SQLs that are executed to restore the database in single user mode and to get the database back in multi user mode.
alter database [test-db] set single_user with rollback immediate; --This sql is run using test-db
    use master;restore database [test-db] from database_snapshot = 'snapshot_test-db';

On searching for this problem I found out that people have faced similar problem but I was unable to find out the root cause and debug steps for this problem. Stopping the SQL server is provided as a solution to kick out these background processes but this
is not a feasible in our case as code to restore DB runs very frequently resulting in this problem at a good frequency.
I also made sure that SQL Server Agent is not running. The SQL services running on server are SQL server, SQL Server Browser and SQL Server VSS Writer.
Any help will be appreciated as this is a blocker problem.

  • How to mount USB & CDROM drives from single user mode - Solaris boot disk?

    Hi All,
I need to carry out ufsrestore on a single newly replaced system disk (no redundancy / mirroring) from either USB or CDROM drives from the following steps:
    ( i ) GRUB => e, e, cdrom –s, Enter, b (boot from Solaris 10 x86 media).
( ii ) Choose menu 1 for Install Solaris Interactive Mode to reach single user mode.Below are the commands that I have tried in single user mode without success:
mount –r –F pcfs /dev/dsk/c1t0d0p0 /cdrom (after unmount Solaris CD)
mount: /dev/dsk/c1t0d0p0 is not a DOS filesystem.
    svcadm –v enable smserver
svcadm: Pattern ‘smserver’ doesn’t match any instances
    svcadm enable autofs
svcadm: Pattern ‘autofs’ doesn’t match any instances
    devfsadm
devfsadm: mkdir failed for /dev 0s1ed: Read-only file system
    mkdir /mnt
mkdir: Failed to make directory “/mnt”; Read-only file systemPart of the problem is due to the current READ ONLY filesystems which does not allow the creation of mount point such as /mnt.
I have been able to create both / root (/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0) and /export/home (/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0) filesystems with newfs that are awaiting for restore using ufsrestore.
The only option I am left with is to attach a secondary disk to install Solaris 10 on either of them before bring the system to multi-user mode so that service such as volmgt, autofs, volfs are available to access USB & CDROM drives.
Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue?
    Many thanks,
    Jack

    Hi JKGN,
Is the directory a located under the root filesystem. ie /a? Are there any other mount point for say USB drive as well? I am not in a position to try it out right now but will get back
to you soon on whether /a exist or not.
Btw, the last thing I managed to do on this system at the time was added a secondary 1TB internal disk with the intention to restore both / and /export/home data onto this disk while
making use of all the disk device management services such as the following services only available in a fully installed Solaris system (both single & multi-user modes) installed on the

As a result, I am left with no option but the need to rebuild this system with only a single primary disk while in single user mode. However, the single user mode that I am in is the
one from Solaris installation disk with restrictive (_cannot create folder for mount point or running disk management utilities_) capability such as those services just covered, compared to one from a completed Solaris installation system with full access to all filesystems and utilities / commands in general.
I would very much value your assistance on how to mount both CD & USB in this restrictive limited Read Only OS (assume that it is running from memory) in order to get complete access to
the blank primary disk so that full restore with ufsrestore could take place.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Multi user catalog and how to make it - use a checked out system

Lots of people want or need a Multi user ability in lightroom here is one way to achieve multi-user catalogs by using a check-in check-out system.
The Catalog would open normally upon a second user opening LR would then ask to switch to multi-user mode.
Once in multi user mode lightroom would lock-out images, collections, or folders by a checked-out for editing system.
By checking-out images, collections, or folders: files would be unavailable to other users until edits are saved, and the images, collections, or folders are checked-in.
This check-in check-out system would need a global check-in feature in case someone forgot to check in an image, collection, or folders (global check-in could be admin level). Word documents, CAD files, etc, use a similar lock-out/read only system for the files. Since, we wouldn't want to bloat the files with programing to lock out the files, this would have to be added to the catalog and managed by the catalog.

has also been observed on Solaris 10 sparc, and the hme0
    interface.
svcs -x in single-user mode reports no problems.
Changing to multi-user mode by typing Ctrl-D still does not
    configure the real network interface.
One thing that I've noticed is that smf's log file
    /etc/svc/volatile/network-physical:default.log
is missing, when the nic interface was not configured.
It seems that the problem with unconfigured network interfaces
does not happen when I boot directly into multi-user mode.
Why isn't the physical interface plumbed and configured when
booting into single user mode on S10 b69?

    Hi everyone,
I too have internet connection problem
I have installed Solaris 10 on my Compaq Presario M2000 series
    Solaris Management Console Details:

    IP address: 172.19.16.96
Network Connection rtls0: Sending & Receiving Packets
When running WinXP in my laptop before for same IP:
    IP address: 172.19.16.96
    Subnet mask: 255.255.240.0
    Default Gateway: 172.19.31.254
while booting the OS said NFS+ version 4 was detected and the router IP is automatically configured or there is no specific individual router IP, says something like this
    # ifconfig -a:
    lo0: flag = 2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK, RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL>mtu 8232 index 1
    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000

    inet fe80::2c0:9fff:fe9a:8cc 9/10
    ether 0:c0:9f:9a:8c:c9
I have modified the files and checked them:
    1. etc/hosts
    127.0.0.1 local host
    172.19.16.96 HOME loghost
    2. etc/hostname.rtls0
    HOME
    3. etc/hostname6.rtls0
    HOME
    4. etc/netmasks
    172.19.16.255 255.255.240.0
I don't know the network IP so i just write this, can anyone tell me how to find the network IP
    5. etc/defaultrouter
    172.19.31.254
I made this file and wrote the default gateway IP address, can anyone tell me how to find default router IP since the NFS+ version 4 auto detects or auto assigns router IP
    6. etc/resolv.conf
    domain myhost.com
    nameserver: 172.19.16.12
    nameserver: 172.19.16.13
still domain name has't been set, i just wrote this, can anyone tell me how to find the domain name or create one. also the name server is just a fake, but how to find one. If i will be connecting my laptop to various IP whereever i go, so do i need to configure network setting again and again ? isn't there any auto network configuration so that i can connect internet where ever i go and let the system auto configure network settings like in windows XP auto IP configuration detect.
    7. etc/nsswitch.conf
in this i can't see "hosts: files" but i could see rest of the details. so I inserted "hosts: files dns" in the third line and saved.
I ran the following command in the terminal to find the details:
    #ypmatch host-name hosts
ypmatch: the domainname hasn't been set on this machine
(how to set domain name can anyone tell me?)
    #move/etc/netmasks: not found
    #uname -n
    HOME
    #cat/etc/nsswitch.conf
    cat/etc/nsswitch.conf: not found
    #domain name
    domain: not found
    #ypwhich
ypwhich: the domainname has'nt been set to this machine
    #nismatch nameserver-name hosts.org-dir
    hosts.org-dir: Error in accessing NIS+ cold file.......is NIS+ installed?
actually during installation i selected DNS type for network giving a wrong nameserver and domain got skipped later
    #getent ipnodes dns (no response)
so all these things i did and found by seeing the forum guidelines. I can see the network connection has receivinh and sent packets seems to be working but can't browse internet, also can't ping a website.
if anyone had the same problem but found the answer than kindly let me know. I am new to solaris but i am trying my best.
    awaiting reply from gurus
    bye for now.................
