Running, Excersing with Zen Mic

Im thinking about purchasing a Zen Micro Phtot and was wondering if I will be able to run or excerise with it's I thoughht if it is a mini-hard dri've, I could be more acti've with it then a regualr hard dri've player.

Your choices in terms of space is really just a Nano until more companies come out with larger flash players. If you want features then there are many players out there with alot of features packed into a 52mb or gb player... yes its not much but you got the features part down.
So unless you want to wait it out for more flash players to come out in a larger size or take a risk with a hard dri've player + arm band combo and see how far it goes... But its just a caution that it is not recommended to use a hard dri've player while working out.. Even if it does have an armband attached to it. And I'm not even sure if the Zen MicroPhoto has an armband accessory.

I run with my Zen Micro and it does not skip or have any other problems. I hold it in my hand so it is not subject to sharp shocks.

  • I can't get napster to work with zen mic

I have a creative zen micro 5GB player and have updated the most recent firmware. I have Windows XP with service pack 2. I have Windows Media Player 0. I also have the subscription for Napster to Go. My problem is that when I connect my player to the computer and turn on napster, a little box comes up saying that I have connected a player (and it tells me the name of my player) that is NOT compatible with Napster to Go and that I will have to pay per track. But when you go the list of compatible players, mine is listed there as number 3. Also, when you go to this website under the zen micro, it indicates that you should be able to use the player with the service. Does anybody have any ideas? I've done a mess of things to try and get this to work. Thanks

not really 2 many ideas. have you remembered to download the application for play for sure as well as the firmware. i think its number 5 on the list. The 2 go together and wont work with out the other. You could also try accessing the clean up option and give that a try. Might update the player - sometimes they get a bit lost .
other that i cant think of anything - napster also has a discussion page sure some of there members must be/ or gone through similar?

  • Ipod Shuffle FM transmitter with Zen Mic

Would a fm transmitter for the ipod shuffle transmit fm and charge the zen micro? I know it would charge the zen micro, but I'm not sure if the micro outputs audio through the usb jack? Below is one of the transmitters that I've found, and wonder if it works?
    http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/XtremeMac_AirPlay_digital_player_FM_transmitter__c harger_for_car/4505-659_6-3424389.html?tag=txt
Just looking for a good FM tuner, and if it will charge the micro at the same time that'd be great. I have the belkin tunecast II and it doesn't work well at all in my girlfriend's Ford Escape, so I'm trying to find something better.

I did check the site; it's not clear how it connects to the iPod shuffle, but from seeing speakers made for it, I'm sure it connects both thru USB for charging and to a "Walkman jack" for sound. (The iPod shuffle does not have a dock connector.) It should work with the following caveats:
You'll need a USB cable for the power connection (extra), plus an audio cable (probably comes with it).</LI>
You should upgrade to the latest firmware (..0 or 2.20.05) for "locked charging" capability, a must for any third-party charger.</LI>
Before connecting, set the power switch to "locked"; you can unlock it once the "breathing glow" has begun.</LI>

  • Has anyone not had a problem with ZEN MIC

should I just buy a Nomad Xtra?

Yes, Have Micro and it is second one in 4 months, Had to send st one back because it froze up and wouldn't turn on or play. The second one is doing the same thing within 3 months with very little use. My new Micro won't go through recovery mode. This is second time it has froze up on me, phone support walked me through recovery mode and I reformatted and reloaded all my music, updated firmwar and now it has done the same thing, WHAT'S UP!!!!!

  • Continuous Play With Zen Mic

Hi all... first post. I recently bought a silver micro and love it. I dont know much about playlists yet and wonder if the awnser to my question lies there. When playing an album, at the end of the album, the player sto

It would be nice to have the micro continue on to the next album. Am I missing something easy?

For that, you would have to set up a playlist.
Go to Music Library > Albums and highlight the album you'd like. Tap the Options Button and selec "Add to Selected". Then scroll down and select your next album and do the same. Repeat for as many times you want or as many albums you got.

  • MSI 1612 Error with ZEN 7 SP1

Since upgrading to ZENworks for Desktops 7, I have been unable to
distribute MSI applications. I always seem to have an error 1612 when
the application tries to distribute. I believe that this error usually
means that the path to the installation files cannot be found, usually
because of a file rights issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
I distribute most applications by associating them to workstations or
workstations in a container, though I have the same 1612 error if I do
associate by user. I have the same problem whether the Distribute in
Workstation Security Space if Workstation Associated option is enabled
    or disabled.
I typically use the File Rights screen under the Common tab to assign
rights to the distribution files directory, so I know that the
workstation object has rights to the files. Just to test this, I
created an app object to run an Explorer window as an unsecured system
user and made sure that I could browse to the distribution directory as
    the System account.
    I am currently running ZENworks 7 SP1 on a NetWare 6.5 SP5 server. All
workstations are running Windows XP Pro SP2.
As an experiment, I tried working around the problem by creating a
simple application object and running an MSI installation by calling
msiexec from a predistribution script as follows:
    %WINDIR%\System32\msiexec.exe /i "\\GRYPHON\DISTRIBUTION\West Point
Bridge Designer 2004\West Point Bridge Designer 2004.msi" /qn
Installing this way seems to work fine.
Any ideas what is going wrong?

I'd like to know of this hotfix as well. I cant distribute a msi app
either due to the 1612 errors.

  • Can I combine two text files into ine with ZEN

I have to append a really long character string onto an existing txt file.
I tried to modify the file in ZEN but the app blows up when it runs. Is
there a way I could concatenate these two txt files together with ZEN
    instead?

Another option would be to create two environment variables each holding
1/2 the string. Then use the Text file section to write the two strings
    to the one file.

  • Please help with Zen Cart

I have a running website already done in Dreamweaver and a
shopping cart with Zen cart. So far I have the two linked so buyer
can go from the website to zen shopping cart. But my issue is how
do I intigrate the two so they can flow smoothly?
For example, right now, the buyer would go to the web and
find something they would like to order, they click on the order
button, it takes them to the product page in zen shopping cart.
Since we are doing wholesale and would like to capture all traffice
plus like to give returning customers an easy way to start
ordering, we had set it up so the buyer would only see pricing and
quanity discount if they log in. Once they log in, the problem
come. It takes them to the main home zen shopping page. That means
they have to search for what they wanted to order again.
Anyone knows how to solve the problem? PLEASE HELP!!!
I hope I made myself clear.

I wrote a small store for my wife
    http://www.direct2usales.com
    using PayPal
Following the instructions at PayPal, each "add to cart" link
on the store consists of many lines of code which are passed to the
PayPal shopping cart... including Product Description and Price
Does your Zen cart include such a function? (with example
code you can modify for each of your store items?)

  • Win 7 sp1 workstations losing contact with ZEN-servers

Lately we have seen more and more of this phenomenon that seems to have been described earlier but I cannot find any clear solution anywhere.
ZAA is 11.2.3.24691 MU1 or 11.2.4.3271. Happens to ws that are known to have been working ok. ZAA properties goes almost blank, except Agent status show correct IP-address, Device state Managed. Configuration location says Default location, should be something else. Server properties Unavailable, Closest servers no available, no policies, no bundles.
zac ref "completes" in half a second but nothing happens. If device still has the IP-address that was known to ZEN it shows up green, otherwise "Unable to connect...".
Wireshark shows little communication with ZEN-servers and only when ws uses same IP-address as is known to ZEN. A refresh produces no communication.
Here's whats in zmd-messages.log after a couple of refreshes:

I sort of have the impression that ZAA actually is working (the services are running) but something else blocks the connection. However, Windows fw is closed and no av software is present.
Uninstall - reinstall of ZAA normally solves the problem, but this is not very practical and the situation can appear anytime on basically any ws, after which the ws remains in this state. The situation is particularly annoying on desktops with DLU, where the ws is practically useless in this state.

We seen this also on some workstation, zac cc, zac ref and then a restart usually solved it. Have not seen this error anymore after we updated to 11.2.4MU1.

I've bought a zen micro in seprember, flashed with .xx firmware; I always used it with windows 2000 with no problem, but... problems began when I've installed a pci card usb 2.0 on my pc; the card worked finely with everything but not with zen micro, that's to say that everytime I tried to import songs by media explorer, the program often wasn't able to import songs; so I've installed windows xp and flashed zen micro with 2.xx firmware (I've installed also service pack 2 and wmp0), but things have gone wrong!!! now everytime I connect zen micro to pc, xp asks the drivers, and it doesn't want neither the driver I've found on creative's cd, nor drivers downloaded from creative's site!! And it's not finished: now zen micro is without firmware and everytime I'm trying to flsh it, a dialogue box says that the player is not connect!!!
can anybody help me? otherwise I'll have to write to creative support for a substitution...
    please help me!!!!!

Strange. Unfortunately MTP connection problems are very tricky to solve. It's hard to know whether the firmware upgrade was partially successful, and whether you are on v or v2 firmware. It sounds like v2 firmware, due to the connection problems with MTP.
The drivers for the v2 firmware are provided by Windows Media Player 0, and are located in the C:\WINDOWS\INF directory. You could try pointing there.
As the player has no firmware though you have to go into recovery mode, choose "reload firmware", then connect to the PC (see if it's detected) and run the firmware update again.
If this doesn't work try and find another PC, say a friend's, that meets the requirements of Win XP + SP/2 + WMP0, and see if you can update.
In terms of resolving the connection problem if it continues, have a look at this thread, particularly the reply by DM, which goes through some of the troubleshooting to solve MTP connection problems. Also look for the link "problems with connecting using MTP firmware" in the FAQ post.

I am trying to run PASW with Lion.  I've found a patch that allows it to run, except that it will not do graphs. These always produce this warning: 'Could Not Start Java Virtual Machine. Chart will not be drawn."  Anyone know of another patch for this?

    Hi Kotapati,

According to your description, you mean that when you run your load test using the Test Iterations way and then get the error message, am I right?
If yes, please you try to close the VS, and then open this VS again. Then clean your load test project/solution and then re-build it, run your load test again check this issue again.
In addition, I suggest you could try to create a new load test and then run it using Test Iterations way check if you get the issue for the specified load test or all load tests.
If possible, I suggest you could share me simple load test for us so that we will further help you.
You could upload your load test to OneDrive and then copy link here.

Photoshop CS6 keeps crashing. I am using a brand new IMAC, I have 16GB RAM recently updated as it was running slow with 8GB and lots of hardrive space. When it crashes, i lose all my presents and it changes my preferences, it also fails to save or produce a recovered file despite settings asking it to do so every 5 mins now. When i try to report the problem, it says it has found an issue and gives me a link to a solution....but wont let me click on the link.... PLEASE HELP! It's killing my productivity.

If the crash started right after you added RAM, it could be a bad Ram dimm. You can try this - change the amount of RAM in Photoshop to 4G, this should stop Photoshop from using the higher ram. If it doesn't crash, it's probably the ram. Or run a diagnostic app. You don't say when it crashes, what you're doing when it crashes - it there a pattern? Did it ever work on this computer? Did it work on your previous computer? Without a lot of data, it could be related to the new computer... What OS version? Did you recently update it? Have you updated Photoshop to the most recent update?
Do you have any plug-ins loaded? Try restarting Photoshop, and immediately press & hold the shfit key to turn off plug-ins.

after upgrading to mountain lion i keep getting an error message saying my startup disc is full. it shouldnt be full because there is barely anything on there and i was running windows with bootcamp prior to this with no issues. my computer now freezes and programs close randomly. The usual command for opening windows with bootcamp doesnt work. once in restarted my computer after it froze and it rebooted in windows automatically. i really just want to know if there is a way to take the upgrade off my laptop because it is very annoying.

    Hi Memalyn
Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.
    Matt
