Running forms on a mac snow leopard

Hi All.
I have a mac, and i want to run the application from it,
the problem is that when I try to start the app I get this error msg:
500 Internal Server Error
Error de Oracle Forms Servlet.
Falta el valor para el parámetro baseHTML o no es válido.
Compruebe la configuración del servlet para asegurarse de que este valor especifica un archivo válido.
I think its on the client side problem "my mac", maybe the jnitiator, but i cant find a jinitiator file.
so, you think its a server problem?
i need the solution.
Regards!

I DID RESOLVE THIS!
Hi again,
I was looking another post and I really understood what is the 'formsweb.cfg' file for.
the thing is: to access the app from PC, we used to go to:
http://myserver.com/forms/frmservlet?config=myconfig
that part "myconfig" is located at the "formsweb.cfg" file, which is located on the path: "ORA_HOME/forms/server/" as follows
[myconfig]
pageTitle=my_tittle Version 10.1.2 Web-Util
form=my_INIT_FORM.fmx
envFile=my_ENV_FILE.env
baseHTML=webutilbase.htm
baseHTMLjinitiator=webutiljini.htm
baseHTMLjpi=webutiljpi.htm
webUtilArchive=webutil.jar,jacob.jar
archive_jini=gif.jar,frmall_jinit.jar
lookAndFeel=oracle
imageBase=codeBase
separateFrame=true
networkRetries=30
otherparams=report_server=rep_ocs_ias
As I post before, the problem said about the Base.htm parameter, so I found that the default "formsweb.cfg" file has different parameters for this three lines :
- baseHTML=base.htm
- baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm
- baseHTMLjpi=basejpi.htm
so I duplicated the section ans change the name to "myconfig_MAC" and thats all, only difference is to start application at:
http://myserver.com/forms/frmservlet?config=myconfig_MAC
finally, the new section that runs on MAC-INTEL Snow Leopard 10.6.7 is as follows:
[myconfig_MAC]
pageTitle=my_tittle Version 10.1.2 Web-Util
form=my_INIT_FORM.fmx
envFile=my_ENV_FILE.env
baseHTML=base.htm
baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm
baseHTMLjpi=basejpi.htm
webUtilArchive=webutil.jar,jacob.jar
archive_jini=gif.jar,frmall_jinit.jar
lookAndFeel=oracle
imageBase=codeBase
separateFrame=true
networkRetries=30
otherparams=report_server=rep_ocs_ias
HOPE IT WORK FOR MUCH PEOPLE

  • Firefox clogs my CPU with all cores on my Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.4

    I usually browse the web heavily as I open around 300 tabs sometimes. However, with the recent update of Firefox, I have 3.6.8 running on my latest Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.4; soon after I open my browser it becomes deadly slow after a while. The activity monitor shows Firefox eating up all cycles on all cores. I noticed that this happens after I open a site with flash or an applet in it, but not sure though. It also crashes.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • I'm running Adobe 9 pro on snow leopard and when I save or print from word for mac 14 the bottom gets cuts off

    I'm running Adobe 9 pro on snow leopard and when I save or print from word for mac 14 the bottom gets cuts off. Can someone help?

    Ah! You're creating a PDF out of Word through Acrobat. The cutoff is most likely being affected by the printer chosen.
    When you call up the print dialogue in Word, check to see what printer is being used. If it's a typical inkjet printer, Acrobat is using the print margins of that printer as the cutoff area. Since most such printers can't print to the last inch and half or so of the paper, that's where it would be cut off.
    Near the bottom, under the preview of the document, click on the Page Setup button. It doesn't really matter which printer you select here. Under Paper Size, choose Manage Custom Sizes. Under the Non-Printable Area heading, choose the same printer and set the paper size you're using.
    Note that the unprintable margins for that printer will be filled in automatically. That's what's being cut off. Click the + button to create a modified version. The default will be "Untitled". Give it a new name if you want. Then set all of the margins to zero. Click OK. Now you'll have that as a choice under Paper Size. Doesn't matter that the actual printer can't use this setting since you're going to a PDF. Click OK to get back to the main Word print dialogue.
    Now choose Save as Adobe PDF. It should give you an exact duplicate of what's on screen in Word since as far as Acrobat is concerned, your "printer" has no unprintable margins.

    A few days ago, my HP printer software updated automatically, everything seemed fine (Mac is running Maverick, my laptop is Snow Leopard).  Out of the blue yesterday, my printer stopped printing (neither Mac can connect), I have tried everything.  Both the suggestion from HP and Apple, it's making me crazy I've spent most of time trying to fix it.

    You tried exactly what ?
    I most of the time would start with the same Apple Printer Support page tech articles
    OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion systems will have the necessary printing software already installed, or will automatically download and install software when the printer is connected or configured. Do not install software that came with the printer as it may be out of date, and do not connect the printer to your Mac yet. Follow the instructions that came with the printer to unpack, install ink or toner, and insert paper.  Finally, use the instructions in this article to connect the printer to your Mac.
    Make sure the printer model is listed in Printer and scanner software, which is a comprehensive list of all printer models that have compatible software for OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion.
    How to add a printer
    Start a print job on the Mac and manage its options
    Generate and manage PDFs
    Manage the printer queue and printer dock icon
    Share the printer queue
    Mac OS Printing/Fax (any version), OS X Lion, OS X Mountain Lion
    http://www.apple.com/support/osx/
    printing in OS X Mountain Lion
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
    Try to delete the print queue under Print & Fax / Print & Scan then manually add a print queue.
    Steps here: http://bit.ly/TdUuHL
    If it doesn't work, reset the printing system:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
    then add another print queue manually.

    Any help would be much appreciated!
    It's probably not a 64-bit capable processor. Check in the Apple menu->About this Mac what it says your processor is. You need at least a Core 2 Duo. The original Core Duo cannot run 64-bit code and Lightroom requires a 64-bit capable processor: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.edu.html

    It appears you cannot run this on a Mac, unless you want to run Windows in Boot Camp or under emulation (which might or might not work). For more information ask here:

  • Mac Snow Leopard upgrade =  no more shared review?

    Hi, we are having a problem with shared review as we upgrade to Snow Leopard.
    Most of us here are using Macs with Acrobat (some 8, some 9), a few on the network are using Windows with Reader.  We use the  'send for shared review' feature on our own network.
    Some of we Mac users have upgraded to Snow Leopard,  OSX 10.6.1. When we do so, we cannot connect to the SMB server we are using for 'send for shared review' via Acrobat.
    That is, we can access the server and open the PDF fine, but we cannot do a shared review (see attached).  We have used this great feature for a year and now we are locked out.
    The 'permissions' on the server have not changed. We've updated our copies of Acrobat. Could it be a Mac Snow Leopard incompatibility? Have you heard of this before?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    I have the same issues under regular Leopard (10.5), and running Acrobat 9.2
    I have found that if you mount the drive using the servers IP address, and set up the review server using the IP address the review system will work. This solution also requires the clents to mount the volumes using the IP address as well.
    Are you running under a domain?

    Hi were you able to resolve yours?
    I was very worried losing all my medical stuff on my iPad Air 2, plus i have nothing to use for the next day! So i have to try all the possible things i read on the internet!! And this worked on my part (Thank God, and thank you Google)
    Perform a hard reboot
    Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on.

  • How to set adobe acrobat 9 pro as pdf default program on mac snow leopard OS?

    how to set adobe acrobat 9 pro as pdf default program on mac snow leopard OS?

    I say to highlight more than one if you can because if the PDF you highlight was made by using Acrobat, it will change all PDF's made by Acrobat but if you have one made by some other product, it may not change them to open with Acrobat.
    So in other words, at some point you may have to do it to a PDF made by some other product.

  • Printing from InDesign CS4 on Mac Snow Leopard to HP officejet pro K5400

    I recently started using a Mac Snow Leopard with InDesign CS4; for awhile it printed fine. Then, dealing with a book mss, I had to get InDesign to convert the document to a PDF, and since that time, the Officejet Pro k5400 will only print in what appears to be the best quality, even when I tell it to print in fast draft, and even set that as a preset. Anybody had that problem? Anybody have any suggestions as to what is going on here? How can I get the printer to print in fast draft? Thanks for any help,

  • Getting msg that version of Safari no longer supported on my mac snow leopard, ver. 10.6.8.  I have no extensions

    How do I satisfy request to upgrade browser - version of Safari no longer supported?  I have a mac, snow leopard, ver. 10.6.8 & I have no extensions & upgraded software from Apple pull-down menu.  Msg is still there.

    You need to upgrade the computer's OS or switch browsers.
    To upgrade, open the Mac App Store and try downloading Mavericks. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
    Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.
