My Question is that .. i have windows xp on my system it is possible can i run J2eeserver on my system ..
if it is possible can any one tell me how to do this task...

Yes you can run J2EE SDK on your home XP. Download the windows version of the SDK and follow the windows quickstart guide and you should be up and running

Windows LV6.0 running on Linux Wine: config.cpp error (line 404)

Have anyone tried to run LabView (Windows version) under Linux using the Wine "emulator"?
Trying this on Debian Woody, with a Win98 install of LabView 6.0 returns:
config.cpp error (line 404)
I tried to search for such a file on both Win/Linux partitions: there's none.
So how am i gonna check this line 404?
Any clue would be strongly welcome!

I agree with Labviewguru about getting Labview for Linux. The only
problem is that you have to dish out $2000 or $3500. They don't have a
Base package.
I'm not sure if NI recomends a particular window manager but I do know it
will run on any of them. In an extreme case I used it on a PII 233MHz,
64MB ram, and a 300 MB disk. It was a Slackware distro using the fvwm2
window manager. Ran great. Presently I run it with Gnome.
My point is that if you have to buy a LV for Linux license, at least you
can save money buy putting it on a machine that's been used as a paper
weight for several years.

What and How do I need to set up inorder to run JSP on Win NT4 server

I'm a newer on JSP. I need to get JSP run on win NT 4. That is the only server available for me. I'm wondering that the tomcat could work with IIS. If not, what do I need? Anybody, please help me.

Tomcat can be configured to work with IIS or it can run standalone.

You may want to look at Resin (http://www.caucho.com/products/resin/) as an alternative to Tomcat.

Running Apps on Wine\CodeWeavers

Is it possible to run Windows Apps using Wine or the CodeWeavers program on Solaris 10 for i386. I guess it will not work on UltraSPARC CPUs and only on i386 boxes. Which is why I am posting here not in the general Solaris forum.

I think you can register as a developer for free, and download the developer tools for Mac OS and iPhone OS, which includes a simulator to run iPhone/iPad apps, but not sure if you can run apps you downloaded, or only apps you build yourself.

Everything depands on drivers what you really need...
You should check the device manager.
If there are some unknown devices then use the workaround in the HowTo in order to find such driver.
To be honest there are no many different devices.
WLan, Bluetooth, touchpad are not notebooks specific

Strange. The fact that you can't run as an Windows service tells me something may be
wrong with your os. Is it possible to try a different windows machine? This is not a
known issue - noone else is reporting this.

Specific Error Message When I Try To Run Safari From Win XP Pro

This is the error message that I get when I try to run Safari from my Win XP Pro computer.

Running Worldcraft with Wine (or OpenGL in child window problem)

Hi!, I'm trying to run Worldcraft (the Half life map editing tool) with wine (version 0.9.30), everything works fine except when I choose to display a 3D view on one of the viewports (3D views uses OpenGL to render the scene), when I do this, the whole window turns black, and flickers (showing some portion of the original window) when I hit the mouse button of move the window.
This seems to be the Opengl in child window problem that was supposedly fixed in wine 0.9.28, but, well.. it happens This happens also with Lightwave 8.0.
Can anyone try and see if this happens to you as well? or.. well. does anybody knows how to fix it?

PCMCIA modem cannot run on PXI (Win NT os)

"hi. i am using a PXI system which runs on Win NT.i bought a Win NT compatible pcmcia card modem to be used with the NI pc card carrier. However when running on Win NT, the modem wasnt able to detect my modem. and it simply couldnt dial. I was running fine when i use it on Win 98. anybody who have similar configuration as mine (specs below) and knows the solution pls help!! =( quite urgent

Windows NT does not have native support for PCMCIA. To get PCMCIA to work under Windows NT, you must have a third party card and socket services installed.
You may want to try an product called CardWizard. I have heard of people having success with it.

Director courseware wont run on new win XP PC

Help,
Our training school has a courseware package built in Director in 2005. Unfortunately the company that built it for us is no longer in business so we have no support from that end. The package runs on an intranet of Win XP PC with IE 6 browser. We have just purchased replacement PCs, still with XP as the OS, however the Director courseware will not run. The windows open, but no content is displayed. We assume this is a shockwave issue, but not being IT experts we are pretty much in the dark. Have tried the obvious browser settings and the shockwave online trouble shooters but to no avail.
Can any one suggest an approach to solve this problem?

Afraid we only have the installed version of the training package. We intentionally specified Win XP for the new PCs, as the package already runs in that OS. Clearly things aren't that simple!!!!! Just want to be sure we eliminate all possible quick fixes before we pay for some expert help. Many thanks for your advice.

Can't run Photoshop on win 7 64 bit - licensed creative cloud member

Starting today I have been unable to run photoshop cs6 and can't find a work around. I have logged into my creative cloud account and reviewed adobe forums for solutions. Very, very frustrated with adobe licensing model.
Message comes up indicating that I have "trial version" of software (I do not). When I try to "license this version" I can only input a serial number - unable to input my creative cloud password.
Right now I am uninstalling photoshop and I will try re-installing using the adobe application manager - which I can sign into using creative cloud membership.
This sucks!

Make sure to install the latest PS updates. There was a bug in the 13.1 update that got fixed in the immediately following 13.1.1 patch. Otehr than that going back and reinstalling seems just as good...

Problems running tomcat on win XP

I've just downloaded and installed the JWSDP on Windows XP Professional, but when I try to use Tomcat it starts but then terminates instantly. Can anyone help me with this?

Are you sure its terminating? You will not get an open window when you run tomcat, just a minimised toolbar window.
If it is definitely terminating, have a look at the log file to see what error (if any) is produced - JWSDP_HOME\logs\catalina.out
Also make sure that you are not running any other application which might be using port 8080.
