Running job will not abort
Hey guysDoes anyone know how to force the abort of an job? I have a job that hung for more than 10 days, last week i cancelled the running job but now it's still on "cancelling". I also tried to abort the job over the command line withdfbm job abort 197850the result isError: Job 197850 is already being aborted.Since 6 days I have this message, actually I cannot take a backup of the desired dataset as the dataset waits for the job to finish. Can anyone help me?Regards.sal
and if you are using Windows, after identified job number (GUI or dfpm job list -v jobs-running), then start the Task Manager, "Processes" tab, make sure you "show processes from all users", View>Select column... , check the "Command Line" column, you must now see the ...\dfpm.exe" job run job_id, the you can end this one only.

A print job will not delete from my computer despite several restarts of both the computer and printer.
Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R. Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.
Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.
Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document has been removed.
Regards,
DP-K

My 2006 - 2008 Mac Pro running Lion will not play HDV 1080i60 footage in FCP 7. When I open the sequence settings, all HDV codecs are hdv1, hdv2, hdv3, and so forth. However, when I open the project on my other Mac Pro running Snow Leopard and FCP 6, the footage works fine as it does on my newer Imac running Mavericks and FCP 7. I have tried a Quicktime update on the Mac Pro that the footage doesn't work on but it says that I already have the newest version of Quicktime installed. I have also tried reinstalling the Final Cut Pro Studio twice, still no fix. I'm completely out of solutions and need to be able to edit HDV footage on this machine. Any help would be great. Thanks.
there was a recent software update that seemed to screw HDV up. Do some searching here over the last month or 2 and you'll find a bunch of posts and some possible solutions.
Worst case scenario, do as Shane suggests. But might I suggest you take a look at the user tips section of the forum. there are some great tips on how to prevent these sorts of problems by cloning your startup drive, etc. -
I am trying to install itunes for my pc and the run window will not come up and I have changed my pop-up blocker settings and it still will not appear.....help?
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -

Macbook pro running, lion will not boot
My mac book, pro running lion will not complete the start up/boot have tried single user boot, and command v any ideas
I had the same problem... I was downloading the latest update (whatever it was for, I forget at this point)...
I was really frustrated because I have never had to troubleshoot my MacBook Pro (early 2008 or whatever was before the black bevel/chicklet keyboard), plus I was running Lion, so I did not know how to do any recovery.
Cmd + R worked like a charm. Repaired my disk, repaired my permissions, then reinstalled (or restored) Lion... now my computer is actually running better than before!
The Disk Repair feature in Lion works magic! -

I did the fix but it didn't fix the issue. It allows me to create the script but when it runs it will not add the user account.
Here is all the same setting aside from the user info being created.
