Running latest version of Firefox on latest release of Ubuntu. When launched Firefox freezes. Am using wifi. Wifi works because it downloads updates fine.
I have a new build of Ubuntu latest release 11.10. When I launch Firefox it seems to freeze. Ubuntu still works it's just Firefox that is not reponding. It just stays in the mode of trying to load the homepage. None of the toolbar options are accessible at this point. I am connecting to router using wifi. The wifi works since I am able to download Ubuntu updates.

AFTER DOWNLOADING THE LATEST VERSION OF ITUNES, I CAM GETTING AN ERROR WHEN I TRY TO OPEN IT. MSVCR80.DLL WAS NOT FOUND. UNABLE TO LOCATE COMPONENT. BEFORE I REMOVE THIS VERSION AND TRY TO RELOAD AGAIN, JUST WANTED TO BE SURE I WOULDN'T LOSE ALL 200 PURCHASED SONGS ON MY PC.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I have just installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and want to update my Safari 4.0.4 to the latest version. However, the latest Safari version needs at least Snow Leopard 10.6.8. What can I do, please?

i restored and updated my iphone 4 to the latest version of 5.1.1 and after that when i connect my mobile to i tunes all i see is a big rectangle and a apple logo on left and a small lock on right side please help me fix this problem.I sloved this issue by resting my phone from settings>general>reset>reset all settings...the problem will be fixed

it's been a while that Im unable to copy music from itunes to my iphone. I updated my device to the latest version of IOS 5.1.1 and made sure no jailbreak is installed but still not working. please assist.
Assuming you are not manually managing your music, verify the following:
You are using the latest version of iTunes
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone. -
I currently have the iphone using imei is 013428003820386. I'm using normal. When I plug the phone into the laptop to copy the photos to your computer system requires update to the latest version. I agree to the machine but when the update requires activation by icloud account. I logged in with my account but still not activated and security. My account is being used to send mail me this log. Oops! Error msg when launching Firefox
Just installed Firefox 3.6 on my sister's computer. When launching Firefox a msg box pops up ( on what appears to be a Google page ) that says Oops! Firefox could not find www.download-services.net
Did not even try to access this site, but Firefox automatically does.
Couple of things we already tried were:
Completely Uninstalling a very old version of Firefox she already had
Uninstalling the Google toolbar using Add/Remove programs ( but it's still there? )
Uninstalled and re-installed Firefox 3.6 two times
Still get this msg box.
Also, tried to set AOL as homepage and it will not take

I’ve removed and reloaded Firefox, but same problem.
The only thing I can think of that’s changed on the PC is that I’ve renewed & McAfe AntiVirus Plus (which also had to be removed then reloaded).

Charles P.: That is correct it is a free license but your account has to be associated with one license and yes the Digital edition is a ebook reader that our ebooks use for you to viewWell, just for the halibut I tried opening the book again today and , GLORY BE!, it worked.
Guess it may have taken overnight for Adobe to OK my license to their free ADE software. Also works now using Bluefire app as the reader on my android phone, although it was a pain
to get the book file in the right file folder for bluefire to see it.
I hope that time also heels the issue with all other Error Getting License users.

Firefox not displaying buttons and boxes when allow other pages to use their fonts instead of my selection is not selected. The irritating thing is that Firefox used to display pages until FF 31. Please fix this

RandyThe missing icons are supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you can probably see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters.
You will have to make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts to see such an icon font.

Suppress add-on dialog when launching Firefox
When launching Firefox with new extensions installed, it comes up with a dialog box telling of the new extensions. I'd like a way to completely suppress this for our users, as we (in IT dept) already know it was installed and don't need our users to see anything about it.
Is there a way to completely suppress the add-on dialog so it doesn't come up at all? Maybe a command-line switch, javascript extension, or setting in an ini file?
Target is Debian and Ubuntu Linux with Firefox 3.6.
thanks!This is stupid. Not only is the way to install plugins now basically a hack (unzipping an xpi file into a dir? really?), but getting rid of the notification is as well. I came up with three ways around this problem: a) install all plugins right after a fresh install, before any profile dirs are created, b) remove all profile directories, or c) edit the prefs.js file for the desired profile. Option "a" is obviously easiest but not always doable.
to fully automate on linux for option b (assuming kioskfox-0.4-fx.xpi is your extension file):
mkdir kf
unzip kioskfox-0.4-fx.xpi -d kf/
sudo mv kf /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions/`cat kf/install.rdf |grep em:id|head -1 | cut -d '>' -f 2|cut -d '<' -f 1`

alternate to an rm -rf for option c (if firefox has been started already, and this line appears in the prefs.js):

dork around with it a bit to understand what I'm doing, to make sure you don't mess yourself up. obviously if you don't use the default profile, change *default to whatever the profile is named.
