Running Opera Mini 5.0 Beta (OR) any version on No...
Hi there,
Can any one please tell me how to run Opera Mini 5.0 beta version on Nokia 5130 Xpress Music. I tried and it says no network availabe or not connected or no access. Its funny the same thing happened when I tried to install version 4. However later on i realised in the Browswer it comes with Version 4. If it can work there, why couldnt i independently install plus how can it work on the browser. I have tried giving access in all possible manners.
In addition I cant install Gmail as well.. same message, even though you give the okay to connect it says 'working connection required' I infact keep always online option switched on and still unable to do so.
Please Please reply or help me out.

How to run opera mini 6.1 in nokia x2???
I've installed opera mini 6.1 from opera mini website but it doesn't connect to the internet. I have also defined an access point but its of no use.
The inbuilt browser (older version of opera without tab support) is working perfectly fine..but the newer version with tab support are more user friendly....

I have a problem installing Opera mini 4.2, Opera mini 5.1 and Opera mini 5.2 on N97 and I have no idea what's the reason. I am able to access all other web pages through "WLan" and "Service provide internet data pakage" but I have no idea about the problem with Opera mini.
Worthy to mention, I am able to run Opera mobile 10 on my mobile. But what exactly is the reason for Opera mini's to remain unconnected ?
"Rresource download failed" is the message I get every time I try to run Opera mini. I have successfully installed Firmware 2.1 and hard reset my phone, bu this problem is still persisting.

I was just curious, have any of you Bold owners tried running Opera Mini 5 for Blackberry? It ran fine on my Tour, but it does not run well on the Bold. The trackball is super sensitive while in this program. I have found a trackball setting of 70 and 70 is a good setting for my Bold. However, you can turn it down all the way, and Opera is still sensitive, to a point that you can not navigate. I just wanted to get some of your ideas.

Well, Opera released an update for Opera Mini to 5.1, and it will still not run on a Bold 9650 due to trackpad issues. I have just about given up on Opera.

Like my post? Kudo me Please!The only Opera Mini crash that I've seen was one that reported an "Out of Memory" error just before it exited.
I had left the Web Browser open (used it to find and load Opera Mini) and had forgotten to close it.
Since then I've had no problems with it, but then I mainly use it for RSS feeds as it is friendlier than the Web Browser's RSS feed reader. -
Hi all, looking for some help. I have been using opera mini, as my browser on my n8 for some time now. However just recently, whenever I try to connect to web pages through it, I just get the message. Unable to connect, please review your network settings. I have not changed any settings, and it was fine last week. I can still browse through normal web, so don't understand. Is anyone else having theese issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you still able to use the native nokia browser?
Also are you connecting via 3G or WiFi when this problem occurs?
Have you installed any applications such as Network setup app?
I suggest reinstalling the Opera Mini application or searching for any recent updates that could be available and seeing if that fixes any issues you are experiencing with the application.

5800 XM - Opera Mini vs Mobile
I used both Opera Mobile 10 beta and Opera Mini 5 beta in 5800 XM.
Opera Mobile crashed very frequently requiring restart of the phone!
Opera Mini is much better. I also see apparently no difference between Mini & Mobile version!
So, I am now settled with Opera Mini.

Go to Solution.I had the same crashing issue with the beta of Opera Mobile. i was getting a message saying my phone memory was full even though i had over 70MB of RAM free.
I read elsewhere on this forum to load Opera Mobile, go to the address bar and enter
opera:config
You can then go in and change the default memory from 4096 to 2048. Since I did this, it's worked great and I've now uninstalled Opera mini.

Type opera:config in the address bar in your opera mini and connect.On the next screen, go to the last option which says "use bit map images for complex scripts" change this to yes. Scroll down and click save.DONE!Now type in the address you had an issue with and the page should load with proper letters instead of boxes.

Just installed opera mini beta 5 and it is a fantastic piece of software, the onyl problem I have is it will only connect using my contract wap and not through my home wifi, I have the N97 set up for all other internet applications to always ask. Anyone know how to resolve?

Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). In terms of browsers there is Skyfire which 'works' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites.

just a quick heads up, Opera mini beta for Symbian has been released today , written in native Symbian and not Java based , worth giving it a try just go to the opera web site and download the symbian beta version

I have windows Vista and have the updated version of Firefox. I also can run OPERA and LUNASCAPE with no problems. When running Firefox I have to constant re log-in to my Yahoo account every time I leave the page. For example: I log in to check my email on Yahoo and then leave my email page. Then when I return to recheck my email I have to log in all over again. I can't stay logged in. If I run my OPERA browser I stay logged in for days without having to sign in all over again.
