Running Oracle Reports from JDeveloper
Do you know how to run an oracle report from JDeveloper?
Do you mean invoking a report at runtime, or do you mean designing a report inside JDeveloper?
Did you try asking on the Reports Forum:

Running Oracle Reports from JSF Application in Websphere Application Server
Hi everybody;
in our company we are developing jsf applications and we want to use our existing Oracle reports. Reports are deployed in Oracle Application Server 10G. Is there a way to call those reports from our jsf applications deployed in websphere application server.Calling reports is just constructing and submitting a URL. So constuct the url in your jsf app or create static hyperlinks in your jsf app to go to the needed url. The url should look something like:
http ://hostname:7777/reports/rwservlet?report=myrep.jsp&userid=scott/tiger@dev10g&desformat=html&destype=cache -
Urgent.....Error while running a jsp report from Jdeveloper
Hi,
I am getting following error while running a jsp report from Jdeveloper. I am using version 10.1.2.1.0. The same report is working fine when I am running it from report builder. ( Both these tools were installed using Oracle Developer Suite 10g version 10.1.2). I did search in oracle discussion forums and google, but I could not arrive at a resolution of error. Any help in resolving this issue would be grateful.

Thanks & Regards.Hello,
You can use rwrun. Since 9.0.2 , it is no more possible to DISPLAY the output on the screen , but you can generate a file (HTML , PDF , RTF , ..) and then open the file generated.
EX: rwrun report=c:\temp\myrep.rdf destype=file desname=c:\temp\myrep.pdf desformat=pdf userid=scott/tiger@mydb P_1=param1_value ...

Show the print dialog when running a report from an Oracle form.
I would like to be able to print an Oracle report from an Oracle form but
in addition show the print dialog. My PL/SQL code is shown at the bottom of this post.
I have set the 'printjob' system parameter to 'YES' in the
report and I can bring up a print dialog using the reports runtime.
However, as soon as I run it from my form I lose this capability. Setting
'printjob' to 'YES' in the code has no apparent effect.
Many thanks,
Ben

Calling Oracle Developer Report from JDeveloper
I am using Orale JDeveloper 10.1.2. I can't seem to find a way of producing reports. I read that Oracle Reports developer can be integrated with Jdeveloper. How can I do this? I want to be able to generate reports from Jdeveloper.
Thanks.
LucasIf you want the Reports integration inside JDeveloper - you need to install the Oracle Developer Suite - the JDeveloper version that comes there has the reports integration.
For more questions on this try the Reports discussion forum:

I didn't edit web.xml file manually, please help.
Thanks,Is that al what you see in logs? If there is more then please go through again carefully. There are certain serlvet and filter dependencies that are required to be commented out in the web.xml to be able to run it. Also have a look at https://blogs.oracle.com/fadevrel/entry/tip_to_quickly_test_jdeveloper
Hope this helps

Error running 9i reports from forms.
Hi folks,
i am having problems running 9i reports from a form.
i have installed Oracle 9iDS on a Win XP machine with 256 MB RAM and a Pentium 1.4Ghz processor.
i also have a local Oracle 9i database. i have created several reports that i am trying to run from some forms but all efforts to date have failed.
below is some sample code.
declare
v_rid report_object;
v_rjob varchar2(100);
v_rptstatus varchar2(100);
v_jobid varchar2(100);
BEGIN
/*get handle to report object itself*/
v_rid := find_report_object('pbranchlist');
set_report_object_property(v_rid,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
set_report_object_property(v_rid,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'htmlcss');
set_report_object_property(v_rid,REPORT_DESTYPE,'CACHE');
set_report_object_property(v_rid,REPORT_SERVER,'repsrv');
set_report_object_property(v_rid,REPORT_COMM_MODE,synchronous);
v_rjob := run_report_object(v_rid);
v_rptstatus := report_object_status(v_rjob);
while v_rptstatus in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED') loop
v_rptstatus := report_object_status(v_rjob);
message(v_rptstatus);
end loop;
if v_rptstatus = 'FINISHED' then
/*display report in browser*/
-- web.show_document('http://steve:8888/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||
-- substr(v_rptsvrjob,instr(v_rptsvrjob,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repsrv','_blank');
web.show_document('/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||substr(v_rjob,instr(v_rjob,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repsrv','_blank');
else
message('error running Report');
end if;
end;
pbranchlist is defined in the form,
repsrv is a report server i installed and explicitly started.
on clicking the button to run the above code, i get a message on the browser status bar as follows
opening http://steve:8888/reports/rwservlet/getjobid11?server=repsrv...
that's it. it stays like that forever and a progress bar showing the status of the operation gets to the halfway mark and stays there for up to 15 minutes.
I eventually halted the operation by clicking the stop button of the browser. The form then becomes totally non-responsive with the mouse indicator changing to the hour-glass shape and a small vertical bar moving rapidly back and forth at the bottom of the form window.
My only recourse then is to explicitly close the browser window.
I have already configured Reports to run in non single sign-on mode by setting SINGLESIGNON=NO in the rwservlet.properties file.
Is there anything i have not done properly?
Thanks in advance.Steve,
can you check the Reports cache directory if the Reports file got created? I would assume yes, but better check.
Frank

I can't get any extensions to install for either Flash CS3 or Dreamweaver CS3. Either double-clicking the extension or going through the install menu have the same result: a flashing progress bar and no installation. This is happening on OS X Leopard
