Running out of batyery TOO quick!

What can I do to stop this from happening? Is this normal? Is my phone damaged? Can I take it somewhere in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, to have it checked? I'm in love with my NOKIA Lumia 920 and give **bleep** to all iPhoners buy her it back when we talk about how long MY battery lasts!

How quick ? With my moderate use it easily lasts about 2 days .. but some applications / functions will surely drain the battery much more quickly .. Have a look at THIS .. Also note that if the phone is new, the battery will take some 10-12 recharges to stabilise.
If in spite of following all the recommendations the battery drains far too quickly, you need to get the device inspected .. You may find more information HERE

  • Nokia x6 runs out of battery too quickly, maybe bc...

    Hello,
My nokia x6 runs out of battery in 5/6 hours without being in use.
This began to happen one day, when I was listening to music in the music player and the screen froze and didn't respond. I tried everything, but the only thing that worked out was removing the battery.
Since then, when I try to access the music player, the screen goes black and doesn't show anything I press the red button to hide the application. It shows me the menu and says that music player is hidden. When I try to close it, nothing happens.
5/6 hours after I charged the battery, it runs down and when I turn it on again, there's no sign of the music player being hidden, but when I try to open it, it does what I've mentioned before.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you very much.

before the hard reset you should make a backup using ovi suite. the hard reset will only delete the contents of the phone C: memory.
make sure the device is switched off.
now press and hold the green (answer) key + the red key and the camera button. while holding those buttons switch on the device, don't release the buttons until you see the "country selector" list. if you don't see that, do it again.

  • My iphone 4s runs out of battery too quickly!

My battery only last about 2 hours, when before I could use my iphone for the whole day. I frequently delete background apps, have my brightness to as low as it can be, and I have turned off basically everything to save battery!

Have you tried a Restore as New  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137

  • Why does my iphone 4s run out of battery so quick?

Why does my iphone 4s run out of battery so quick?

What do you mean by 'quick'? If you mean a few hours then I think it is normal (it's normal for me: 4+ hours for me depending on what I use it for). If you play apps with really good graphics it will make the battery go quicker. If you don't use it for much, then the battery might have gone out-of-sync with the battery percentage it thinks it has (I am not sure if this happens with apple devices though)

My iphone 4s gets hot and runs out of battery very quickly

you should avoid keeping it in extreme temperatures, use it as little as possible, and avoid overcharging which means that you should unplug your iphone as soon as it hits 100% battery

  • Can I delete my children's devices and create their own ICloud? I didn't realize we would run out of room so quickly and accidently put all our devices together. :(

Can I delete my children's devices and create their own ICloud? I didn't realize it wasn't a good idea to put us all on the same account.

Just sign them out, then set up an Apple ID for each and use those to sign each device in.

  • My phone keeps running out of battery very quick:

My phone doing that thing with the arrows in the top right hand corner when its about to receive something or send something GRPS.
    But nothing comes through.
Ive had no e-mails or facebook notifications come through for well over a week now.
But the problem is, because its doing the arrow thing constantly its running the battery flat in the space of a few hours.
Ive checked my passwords on my e-mails, but its not helped at all!!
Ive turned the data off now, and it has stopped, so its definatly to do with the GPRS.
    Anyone got any ideas??
    Its an 8110.

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
The data arrows will continue even if you suspect no data is transferring because the device and the RIM servers and your carrier tower will continuously poll your device, sorta like a handshake just to make sure it is still there.
You could have some application (like an open active browser page) running in the background, as well.
There are many many reasons that data will transmit on your device even when you think it should not be doing so.
Here are some good charging tips, please read and you'll see that many of them will apply to you.

  • IPod 5 runs out of charge so quickly

i have had my iPod 5th generation sinde it first came out. but recently, I would charge it all night and within 30 minutes-1 hour its ran out of change.
is this just. wear and tear problem because I have had it a while or is it a problem that can be fixed ,
    thanks

Also try to keep the brightness low. If this doesn't work, contact Apple support at (800) 442‑4000 and ask them for some assistance, or order a battery online, and replace it yourself. But be careful. Doing so WILL void any existing warranty, and damage may not be fixed by Apple.

  • Help-- and running out of time, too!

Oh boy, I just spent several hours loading music, tweaking playlists on my iPod, all geared up ahead of leaving on a three week trip tomorrow AM, and NOW, something's messed-up.
Just have the grey-shaeded Apple logo, it will not show a menu, stays dark when I hold the center and play/pause buttons for a long time. The battery is obviously charged, the hold switched has been toggled several times and is in the correct (On) position...I'm at a loss. I've had the latest software for both iTunes and iPod.
This all came about after I disconnected, as I had always done, dragging the icon to the eject icon. The 'do not disconnect' disappeared, as usual, but when I disconnected, instead of going bright, the screen went dark with the logo. Plugging back in, it's still the same, nothing I can do to change that.
Where do I go from here? This is horilbe timing, I 'm ready to crash my last few hours of sleep before gettin on the road, but this is messed-up here.
    help....

Yes, I got that correct, the select and menu buttons, but the grey apple logo goes away for a few seconds then returns...
Ah, do I have to reset, restore, and lose the 8 G I just packed on this, ahead of my trip tomorrow? Is there anything else that I could be done before I have to resort to that? (And losing all the songs and playlists I put together, that's the real drag.) I'm leaving the country, haven't even had time for dinner tonight...doing the adding music stuff.

  • HP Envy Cartridge runs out too fast!

Dear HP, I have had my HP Envy for 18 months and am growing frustrated of the ink cartridges running out of ink too quickly.  I purchased a brand new 61 black ink cartridge just last week and only printed 2 Word documents, 5 school forms (1 page each) and about 25 pages of coupons, and today the black ink ran out....after just one week and about 32 pages!  It's not worth $20 for j ust 32 pages...that's almost $1.00 per page!  I have an old HP Deskjet that only cost me $29.99 and the $15 cartridges last at least 3 times longer.  I'm tired of wasting my money on ink and feel very cheated. Regards, Laura Hamann

    Hi @Villaverde
I would like to help you with your concerns about your ink usage. The regular size colored cartridge have a page yield expectancy of 165 page, and the XL one have a 330 page yield.
Actual yield will vary depending upon the amount of content on the page.Highly "dense" documents, such as the text document below, may yield fewer pages than the ISO standard, while less dense ones such as the organization chart below would yield more pages than the standard.Printing that uses primarily one color could cause lower yields for that color, and higher yields for colors not heavily used. The yield you experience will depend upon the content that you print.
    The five standard ISO pages
    High density text
    Org Chart
The information above and more can be found here: How HP measures inkjet page yields.
If you are still concerned that you are not getting an adiquite page yield from your cartridges, I suggest calling HP. If you are in Canada or US call 800 474 6836, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
    I hope this helps.

  • Since I updated to IOs 5 (ipad1)my battery runs out extremely  fast. Any suggestion?

I updated to IOs 5.0.1 a few weeksago, and now my Ipad runs out of battery too fast. I have to recharge it every day, even if I didn't use it. In addition, it has become very slow, any suggestions? I already stopped notifications, localization, push email and other things, whitout results. Thanks for your help

    Two other things to check.
Bluetooth seems to get turned on with the update, do you have that on?
Also, despite what it's supposed to do, wifi syncing happens whether or not the device is plugged in. Do you have wifi syncing enabled? If so, if you have your iTunes open all the time, the iPad will try to regularly sync anytime it picks up iTunes. mine opened my iTunes 3 times in a single evening before I disabled the 'open itunes when device is detected' option in iTunes. So if wifi syncing is on, check your sync settings. It may be syncing almost continuously, draining your battery.
You can set the settings to either not open iTunes when device is detected, or to not automatically sync if iTUnes is open.

  • Why have I received an email from Adobe telling me my subs about to run out?

Why have I received an email from Adobe telling me my subs about to run out? I bought a Creative Cloud sub for a whole year about a month ago - with auto renewal too. I went back and checked my account with Adobe. That all seems to be in order. Why have I got an email telling me I have till 10 June 2012 before the sub runs out?

I too have received this email and one telling me my trial software expires in 2 days. I checked and yes, again I'm showing trial software though AAM shows the creative cloud copy downloaded and installed. I was unable to reach anyone within 20 minutes of hold at Adobe customer support phone but was able to speak to someone named Karal on chat. Karal told me that Adobe would look into the matter and get back to me. When I asked for a case number I was told one would be sent to me after the chat. I'm still waiting.
There are numerous problems with the Adobe Creative Cloud as everyone knows. What we need to keep in mind when dealing with Adobe Creative Cloud is that we are all BETA testers for this new type of service. Adobe was and is unprepared to service the Creative Cloud at this time but I can't believe they are not working to resolve the problems. Will some customers get "screwed" over during this BETA testing period? Of course. You have to expect that you will and take it with a grain of salt. Let's face it there really isn't another option to Ps/Dw/Lr/Acrobate is there? No, so let's calm down and try to help each other. The poor souls on the other end of Customer Support are just as lost and confused as we are..it's not their fault and they have no power or resources to fix the overall problems.
I can tell you what I’ve done for the company I work for since I recommended the cloud and obviously it was not a good choice for us at this time,
On 6/9 we will cancel the subscriptions to the cloud unless I find that the individual software will not recieve maintenance updates as is now the current rumor.
We will upgrade our individual software packages with the upgrade option and request CD backups.
We have contracted with DropBox for a 500mg box. I really like this service so far.
I’m hoping this puts me back in good status with the boss and the graphics department as everyone will get what the need to work without the limitations of the cloud and without me spending hours each day trying to figure out support issues.
Remember if you can live through the next 6 to 10 months the Creative Cloud will probably be a great thing. If not, bail now and come back when it's ready for "prime time". As we use to say in my RANGER days. "Suck it up soldier; this is what we train for!"

  • Keep running out of room on my 16 gb iphone 5

I have a 16 gb Iphone 5, with only a few apps but 466 phots. But when i have to update an app, or downloading an app, it tells me that their is not enough storage. Is there a way to fix this? i back up to icloud everytime that i plug my phone in. I have even deleted some of my photos. Why am i running out of storage so quick? Also, if back up my phone to my compter, can i delete my photos on my phone and not lose them?

They are of my daugheter and i would be devistated if i lost those.
You should be moving or at least copying your photos from your iPhone to your computer on a regular basis.  See this on how to do that.
