Running report from Forms 10g?

I have a 10g report that has a parameter form in it that I'm running from a 10g form using the method described in the whitepaper "Oracle Forms Services – Using Run_Report_Object() to call Reports with a parameter form".
When I run the report from the form the html parameter is displayed like the whitepaper describes but I'm getting the Rep-0546: Invalid parameter input. Anybody know what's cauising this error.

I've upgraded the report from 4.5 so there aren't any quotes in it. If I run the report with paramform=no and pass a parameter to the report it runs fine. The problem is that I need the report to run both ways. The one thing that I've found that is strange is the reports parameter has a validation trigger on it and if I remove the trigger from the report the parameter form isn't displayed at all and I get a blank report. I'm running the report to Cache and displaying it using web.show_document.

Replacement routine for running reports from Forms 10G?

Hi,
I have the following routine that I have been using in Forms 6i to run all of my system reports. I know that Run_Product can no longer be used in 10G and has to be replaced with RUN_REPORT_OBJECT, but can anyone suggest a suitable replacement routine that can be called from my 10G Forms (to avoid getting the FRM-41842 message)?

Running report from forms 10g with parameters

hi all , my report displays "sal and ename" columns of scott/tiger schema .
i've seen a lot of articles talking about this but i want you to help me to get it :
1- i want to run report by assigning a value to the "report other" property of the report object .
i've tried it like so , i wrote sal = 800 or ename = 'SCOTT' in that property "report other" . and it did not work .
2- and i want to how to do the same with "set_report_object('myrep',report_other,..........) ;
3- i did it before with a parameter list by creating a parameter in the report builder called "p_sal" and p_ename then
created a parameter list with :sal and :ename text_items as parameters then added the parameter list to
run_report_object('myreport',pl) and it did not work too .
please clarify these to me

REP 110 & REP 0110 .calling reports from Form 10g(10.1.2.0.2)

Hi All,
We are migrating form from Oracle form 6i to Oracle 10g(10.1.2.0.2). I am calling reports from forms
using Web.Show_Docment(). When we run reports in report builder 10g it works fine.
But when we try to run reports from Forms 10g it throws error which is given below.
We want to run reports from UNIX. After using this url to submit report we get error REP 110 and REP 0110

You are mixing 2 separators in the URL : & and +
Use only one separator in the URL :
Example :

As I don't know their content I don't know the links posted, the advices given and what you did, and as this is a new thread I'll go ahead and ask what you tried, where you failed and what exactly did not work out for you.

Running reports from forms on the web

On forms and reports 6i we used the following code to run reports from forms.
We need to do the same on 9i forms and reports, we are running into problems.

i have installed report server with following command
rwserver -install 9irep
i have changed entry in rwservlet.properties like
SINGLESIGNON=NO and i have removed the following entire block of 9irep.conf, which i have read from some documentation

i get the following error message when i run my form
frm-41214 Unable to run report
and then next message is
frm-41217 unable to get report job status
i debugged the report id and it is
9irep_0
returned by Report_Job_Id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(Report_Id);
When I checked the Report Queue Manager
it is showing status like
(9irep)Terminated with error
and detail it shows is
Unable to connect to the specified database.
Now I am wondering what to do next.
any suggestions???????

Hello,
From your description, it seems like the report is faling due to a database authentication problem. When you run your report from Forms, Forms internally passes the its database connection information to Reports automatically. So ensure that you are connected to a valid database in Forms, before the report is called.
Please verify whether a simple report which does not require a database connection, for example, a report containing only a boilerplate text object, is running correctly. Also, in the trigger code that you have specified, you should add the following:
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(Report_Id, REPORT_DESTYPE, CACHE);
so that the report output gets generated to the server cache, and can be retrieved using rwservlet/getjobid.

I want to run report from FORM. The report will save in PDF format then OPEN automatically in PDF

While I was trying to run report from form (6i)on the web,it will give me this error

I am running Forms 6i on the web and attempting to call me report via RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. I am getting the same error as Jenny FRM-92100. I need to pass a parameter list so I don't think I can use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT. Any ideas???

problem to run Report from direct Form within the browser. The message from
the browser was 'The requested URL was not found'. We use run_product to run
report from form. Below is the statement:-

Does anyone have an idea??

1. FORMS60_MAPPING
2. FORMS60_OUTOUT
FORMS60_MAPPING should point to vartual directory on your forms webserver
FORMS60_OUTPUT should point to physical
directory path of vartual directory

i have tried to run report from forms using below codig(got from online help)

but i hav report in e:\ then why its getting?

Hi,
I suggest you not to use the "E:\" directory letter, but the REPORTS_PATH instead.

from the Online Help


On Windows, edit environment variables through the Registry Editor (Start > Run > Regedit).


On UNIX, edit environment variables by revising and running the shell script that defines the initial default values (reports.sh). If you do this, be sure to keep a backup of the original, unaltered reports.sh file.
