Running reports through the web with SSO enabled

Hey,
I am trying to run several reports through the web by calling a direct url, but for some reason every time I am prompted to sign into Portal because SSO is enabled. What can I do to avoid the sign in page and run the report directly?

Reports Server/running reports on the web.

I am trying to configure my web server to run reports on the web. I have followed the instructions provided by Oracle, but some is not clear. When i try to run report on the browser, i get the following error:
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:
Oracle documentaion say the following about the steps to configure the web server:
1-Start your Web server by entering the following:
2-Start your browser.
3-Create a listener.
4-Configure your Web server mapping and note the physical and virtual directories. For example:
I have done all the steps above except creating a listener. The documentation doesnt explain that step at all.
I have created a cgi-bin directory and made it excetable and copied the rwcgi60.exe from reports server machine to the web server machine. I also copied the TNSNAMES entry for the web server from the reports server machine to the web server machine.
Here is the command i use(just trying to make sure that web CGI is responding, but it doesnt work)
http://web_server/scm/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe
Other question: On the server machine, i have 3 oracle directories: ORA81, ISUITES, 806, which one should be the home directory for the reports to work on the web??
I am using oracle 8.1.7 with 9iAS release 1.

BO slow when accessing reports through the web but not with a installed client.

We have installed BO 4.0 SP08 in a virtual machine with 32 RAM and 8 CPU processors. We have divided the APS in a number of instance with different services. We have also 8 Web Intelligence Processing servers.
The application is slow when trying to create or view a report from the web browser (ie or chrome). If we use the installed Web Rich Client on a machine, then it works fine.
Does anyone knows why?

How to view my pro*C reports on the web with forms10g

Hi All,
I have a scenario where :
I just migrated my forms from forms6i to forms10g. My IDS 10g R2 sits on Windows XP machine through which I build my form. My IAs 10g R2 sits on Linux machine throught which I compile my forms. Lot of my forms uses pro*C reports which I want to display on the web. I'm using host command in my forms. My questions are :
1) Do I have to use webtuil?
2) Is my pro*C reports needs to be ftp into my windows machine or I can still run it even though they sit on linux machine.
3) How can i dsiplay my pro*C report on the web?

Error when running reports on the WEB

Hi,
I have been successful in deploying our application on the Web,
using WebDB listener, Developer Server, Report Server and JInitiator 1.1.7.18.
Now the forms on the web runs fine without any problem but
when I run Reports from Forms using RUN_PRODUCT built-in by passing parameters from Forms to Reports it generates this following error: REP-0081-Error During I/O operation and REP-0110: Unable to open file "<<file>>.html" scaba 14.
The strange thing about the REP-0110 is, it refer to a path that is not defined in my registry(FORMS60_OUTPUT,_MAPPING, REPORTS60_PATH,_TMP,_WEBLOC,_WEBLOC_TRANSLATED) and neither my physical directory in the directory mappings which I defined on the web server. (I refer to a the path mindpack4.1 and the REP-0110 refer to mindpack4_1)
Any help appreciated.

Running Reports Through Discoverer

Discoverer is a new product to me, I understand it is a ad hoc reporting tool but how does it intergrate with Oracle Reports? Can I run an Oracle Report through discoverer or does the user always have to build their own? I want to be able to make some basic reports available to users and allow them to run thier own as well. Any comments or suggestions would be a great help.

currently we are not using any version of discover. We are implementing the banner Finance product from SCT and were hoping that their product Web For finance would solve our need for running reports across the web but it looks like it may not. Currently we don't have an adhoc reporting tool, so I am trying to find out as much info as possible about the product. Right now for us to run oracle Reports we need to use Citrix Server or Terminal server, however with the Reports server and this Discover tool i was hoping to move away from all this and run all of them over the web. I was hoping that I would be able to use some of my prepared Oracle reports inside discover either as templates or have them as options with the discover reports.
Any help would be great! I guess I need someone to point me in the right direction so I can ask more pointed questions =)

Load oracle jdbc driver error when run applet via the web

I have built an applet which connect to database via jdbc thin driver. It works fine when I run it through the applet viewer, but got a problem when run it through the web.

I am using jdev9i 9.0.4 and jdk 1.4.2. The jdbc version is 9.0.1

Running Reports Through a Browser

Hi,
I am using NT 4 with SP3 and Netscape 4.6. I am trying to run
reports through the URL in my browser, but every time I try to
make a call it asks me to download rwcgi60.exe instead of running
it. The virtual mapping settings work, since I can open other
files through them. I think I may need to set up a MIME type
since I am running this through WebDB but I don't know how set
that up. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Displaying report in .pdf format while Running oracle reports over the web

I am running a report over the web via IE. I am suing .pdf
format as the file type. The problem I am facing is that the
report comes out with a blank in acrobat reader if there are
just one or two records - i.e less thatn one pagefull. THe
reports displays output only when there ar more than one
pagefull of records.
Any explanation for this bezarre behavior and any suggestions?

in R12 I found 2 choice
1) when submitting requests (if available) you can set the output format by using the Options button (upon sompletion section):
layout --> format --> select format you need (RTF/HTML/EXCEL/PDF)
2) in the request form (view->request) selecr the report you want to reprint in the Tools menu select print/republish, in the html page that pop up select output format you want, number of copies =1 submit

Error when trying to display a Webi report through the Folder iView

Hi all
I am getting the following error when Im trying to display a Webi report through the SAP Portal. We have installed the SAP Integration Kit and are able to see the content of the Infoview. However when we click on a Webi report, we receive the following error:
Could not get page number. (Error: RWI 00223) (Error: INF)
Have anyone else encountered this problem? Please assist! Any help will be rewarded.

The report can be displayed from the java infoview, no doubt, so the report itself works.
But the report cannot be seen from the "SAP Infoview" (:/businessobjects/enterprise115/sap) which is the infoview, I reference from the Folder iView (through the system in the SAP portal). And since the SAP Portal Integration Kit seems very old - the Folder iView was created 12-08-2004 by Ingo Hilgefort - there might be an old version of the jar-files somewhere in the installation.
I guess I should check the version of the jar-files in WEB-INF/lib of our web application (Tomcat) folder, and see if they have been overwritten by the SAP Portal Integration Installation or are an older version of the files in Program FilesBusiness Objectscommon3.5javalib? And also check if somewhere in the .../sap installation there are some old jar-files?

Issue with running reports on the portal

1. I have a question regarding running reports on the portal.
2. I have standard web templates that have been installed in BI.
3. But in the portal, we are not able to run these reports.
4. Do we need to create custom I-Views or can we install them from business content?
5. Can someone explain the process to me AND also any other issues that we might have?

Standard web templates doesnot get installed with attached queries.Create custom web templates in WAD and attach ur queries based on the type of display u like either tabular or graphical.In order to diplay in portal you have to attach webtemplates to iViews and then group iViews to worksets and attach to portal roles.Then add those roles to portal users.From BI Prospective u just create web-templates and give technical names to EP consultants if you have any then they can takecare of rest.If you want to call standard web template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN from portal you need to have Business Explorer role added to ur user in EP.Using that template u can only open one query at a time and execute.Hope its clear

Does AIR run on a desktop but get updates through the web?

i'm trying to figure out if AIR is a solution for a project I have. We have Flash CBT programs that were up till now deployed via disk. The company has gotten very large and its too combersome to have to update all their locations by disk. They want all updates to come from a centeral location on their web server. Thsi Flash application is much too robust for standard web deployment. A lot of images and audio and a 2 hour run time. Is it possible with AIR to just publish the Flash application out as AIR and have it run on each stores desktop but have it get updates via the web?

Yes you can make an AIR application that's updated through the web, even automatically if you want. The AIR application runs locally and only gets stuff from servers when it's specified to do so. What do you mean with "a shell that pulls in lots of different files works with AIR?"

How can we run Oracle Reports from the web - for example from a portal such as "Gateway"
This is a univeristy that implements Banner - so can we run them from within Banner?
