Report on running services/processes?

is it possible to create a report on running services, we are just starting to look at the reporting possiblities but we have a need to target and remove a certain service. The novell ZAM7 did not uninstall itself on a bunch of our windows 2000 machines when ZCM was deployed and now that the old ZEn server is gone we suspect slowness on booting those pc's due to the ZAM. So if we could report on the cclient.exe service running on certain machines that would help us track them down and remove the ZAM.

I foudn a round about way to get the information i wanted via a canned report, Zen hasa canned report that ideintifies asset inventory software and because i was looking for zam 7 it reported all instances of it, so now i can go ahead and clean off the machines that for whatever reason still have it.

thank you for the help. I should have said I had a iphone 3. A friend has the same phone and she showed me how she can see what web pages are open when she double taps the home button. Mine is set to bring up favourites when I double tap (chosen from settings>general>home button).. BUT my choices are only HOME; SEARCH; PHONE FAVORITES; CAMERA or IPOD. I changed my choice to HOME but that just defeats the purpose as when I am at the home page and double tap nothing happens. Am I making sense?

Installing Patch 9.2.0.5: Weird "Stop Running Services" Screen

Hi to all.
I found this issue in several places, including this forum, but I never saw a working proposal for a satisfying solution. Installing Oracle Patch 9.2.0.5 over a 9.2.0.1-Installation on XP Pro, I was confronted with a "Stop Running Services" screen, that listed ALL running Windows Services, even the most basic ones, which are required for a working OS and cannot/should not be stopped. Of course I had stopped the Oracle listener and instance services (including the recovery service, omtsreco.exe).
I found using TASKLIST.EXE or LISTDLLS.EXE, that many Oracle DLLs like ORAPLS9.DLL were used by a command "svchost -k netsvcs". But I could not find out, where and for what reason this command is launched and how I can prevent this launching without hazarding the system. The string "netsvcs" can not be found in the registry, for instance.
At least, somehow I managed to do the job, but I cannot exactly recall all the steps I took! At the "Stop Running Services" screen I chose "Abort current component and continue installation", and after install finished (it said something like "install finished with errors" or that like), I was left with a non-functioning Oracle client. Whopee! It told me "Bad function entry point" when I tried to start SQL*Plus. Desperately, I started the patch installation a second time. THIS time I installed OUI 10.1.0.2 as a first step (which I did NOT during the first round), and then started patch install. Strangely, this time I was presented another flow of dialogs (Sorry, but I missed to make notes about the exact titles and the dialog flow), which took MUCH MUCH longer ("Analyzing Dependencies" for example, took 1.5 hours to complete), and I really do not know, how or whether I was confronted with a "Stop Running Services" issue), but after all I really managed to complete the second try successfully, and the client functions worked again (SQL*Plus reported the correct version, 9.2.0.5).
Before I'm driven through this hell again (I have to patch several workstations running 9.2.0.1), I'd like to know,
- Whether the issue has been solved, that the "Stop Running Services Screen" lists
most basic services like "Event Manager". Could it have been caused by using the
wrong OUI version or under what circumstances will it appear?
- Secondly, what is this mysterious "svchost -k netsvcs" (netsvcs = NETSerViCeS ?)
locking many of the DLL files in the Oracle "BIN" folder. It is definitely NOT
one of the Oracle listener or instance services (all of which start with "Oracle").
How can this service be disabled or be prevented from loading the Oracle DLLs?
Sorry for the long story and partially unclear details, since I do not recall all of the long installation session. Any input is welcome.

Ok, "netsvcs" CAN be found in the registry, but I used FINDSTR.EXE to seach a UNICODE .REG file, and of course had no hits. Meanwhile, I learned more about SVCHOST.EXE and it's service groups, one of which is "netsvcs". In HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SvcHost, I found a value and a key named "netsvcs", the value contains this string (abbreviated):
"6to4
AppMgmt
AudioSrv
Browser
CryptSvc
helpsvc
xmlprov
wscsvc
WmdmPmSN".
These are the symbolic names of the services presented to me in the "Stop Running Services" screen! Now it's clear, why this screen appears, since "svchost -k netsvcs" is the process locking the Oracle DLLs.
But the question remains: WHY does "svchost -k netsvcs" need access to Oracle DLLs? Which system or application setting controls whether svchosts tries to load the DLLs?

Do Group Managed Service Accounts require permissions to run service in question?

I'm testing out GMSA (Group Managed Service Accounts) in Windows 2012 R2. My domain and forest functional level is 2008 R2 (which I understand is the minimal functional level for GMSA support).
Question I have is if I create a new GMSA for a particular service, does the GMSA require permissions to run service? For example, SQL rights, IIS rights, etc...
Also, can they be used to run scheduled tasks? Thanks.

Default_maintenance_plan scheduler window will affect any running services

Hi All,
I am having Oracle 11g 11.1.0.7 on windows server.
There are many spatial application running on this which is very critical. I having the issue from the spatial team that the service is getting crash many time this eventually making us to restart the spatial services which rely on this database.
When I check the spatial log all the failiures happend at 10:00 PM.
While checking the alert log there is default_maintenance_plan scheduler window is kicking of exaclt on the same time (10:00 PM).
Whether the meintenance sheduler window is going to impact any running services which rely on my database?
Could you please guide me on this?

It may affect other processes. You should change the default maintenance window to start later when your spatial processing has finished.

I followed Gayaz solution and it worked on my jdev11.2.3
1. Modified the TEMP and TMP env var from "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp" to "c:\temp".
We should created the temp folder in c directry if it does not exist.
2. Created two more env variables
(a) JDEV_USER_HOME
(b) JDEV_USER_DIR
and it is pointing to "C:\jdevhome".
We should created the jdevhome folder in c directry if it does not exist.
Finally what I observed is these four variable should point to a folder path where it should not contain spaces in the folders name.

Error while running service tax program (New)

I have created S3 as interim tax code and S4 as final tax code. I assigned S4 to S3 as a target tax code. Entries are perfectly flowing.
But when i do service tax program for, session is created properly. When i run it in SM35, for gived error
"Tax code S4 may only contain one assignment line"
I have given routine 166 in OBQ3 for ECess and SHEC.
I tells me to do following procedure:
Use a different tax code.
For direct postings to a tax account, you might have to define a separate tax code for which only one line with a percentage rate other than zero is active in percentage rate maintenance. All other lines must be inactive.
Please help me.

There is one interim service tax code (for normal services) - S1. Final service tax code S2 is created assigned to S1 as target tax code.
Entry passed:

Service Tax SHEC (deferred)       500

For this service tax program (new) is working fine.
For the GTA scenario where service tax is not charged in invoice but we have to pay to government, in that case i have created one interim tax code G1 and i have assigned final tax code S2.
Entry passed for GTA (invoice raised by transporter is Rs. 500000):

   To Service Tax Basic (deferred)       50000
   To Service Tax ECS (deferred)         1000

But when i execute the program i can see three line items (for basic, interim and SHEC)

Request/Response From Long running Service to BPEL

Hi,
I have long running web service which I plan to implement as a EJB30 Webservice.
I need to add support for Async callback Repsonse to the BPEL process calling this ejb service.
Since jax-ws is not supported by the current version of Oracle I cannot use that.
Can I use the Java concurrent api in side the EJB and implement the EJB as a stateful EJB with support for WS-Addressing?
I do not want to use the JMS, becuse of the additional coding of multiple Message beans to send and receive the message.
What other options do I have here?

BPEL process will fault if it receives either a soap:fault or a custom fault defined in the wsdl. so change your proxy service error handling to replace $body to one of these.
If you don't have reply with failure action, osb will return a soap:Fault ( generated by the system error handler) and bpel will fault , but the error info in $fault will be lost..
One way to address this is to define a Fault message for the service in the wsdl ( port type will have input, output and fault elements for the operation) and in the osb error handler transform $ fault to the fault message format and do a reply.

Time Out error when running Service Confirmation List Report

Hi All,
I am using CRM 7.0 version and some users (not all) when try to run a report in Service Confirmation List Report in WebUI Client, TIME OUT error comes up.Some times the timeout happens when the data is being extracted, but most often the timeout is when I try to download to Excel.
I checkedin ST22 and the problems seems to be in program CL_CRM_BOL_ABSTR_BO===========C in this method IF_BOL_BO_PROPERTY_ACCESS~GET_PROPERTY_AS_VALUE ... There is a restriction, that a dialog-process can run a maximum of 600 sec- after this, the process is stopped.
Does anyone has the similar problem. I don´t know if increasing the maximum time for the time out; should be a good solution OR run the report via Background. However I don´t know How to run it in Background.. Does anyone has any idea?

Parameer max/wp_eun_time is set to 1800 sec
By increasing the above value to higher, you can get the result.
But 1800 sec runtime for a transaction code is not a good one, check the time entities by tracing the execution(ST05) and tune if required.

I am planning to use NWCE7.2 for developing a pilot. I have installed the NWCE7.2 after downloading form SDN. The basic installtaion was successful. But i ma facing problem in initial configuration.
Note:I am new to NWCE but have installed NWCE7.1 Ehp1 and configured the demo application once

Can't run service perfigo config command on NAC

I have a new NAC Manager server for a fresh deployment. I logged in using root password with a serial connection to the server.
I can't seem to be able to run the "service perfigo config" command to perform the initial CAM configuration.

perfigo: unrecognized service

Any idea what might be the problem?

What is happening when you are booting from a CD where NAC ISO is installed on it?
Usually, during boot, you should receive a installer welcome message:
