It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />

Ideal disk setup for MDFs, LDFs, TempDB, and cube files?

I'm about to build an enterprise SQL Server that will run both OLTP and our data warehouse (OLAP). What is the proper disk setup for data files, please? Is it something like:
1 for MDFs
1 for LDFs
1 for TempDB
1 for OLAP files
Or something close to that?

How to run setup for new datasources without breaking old datasources?

Hi,
I am wondering how to install some more data sources (2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF, 2LIS_17_10NOTIF and 2LIS_18_10NOTIF) without breaking the delta mechanism for other data sources when I start to use the new datasources.
I have installed some QM cubes (0QM_C04, -05, -08 and -11) and delta loads run every night. Now I want to add two more cubes (0QM_C02 and -03). The new cubes use datasources that are not yet available.
If I now activate the needed datasources, delete the content of the setup tables again and run 'Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data' for 'Quality Management', 'Plant Maintenance' and 'Service Management', I am afraid that I will re-initialize the delta queue for the datasources that are already in use... In other words: I am afraid of breaking all datasources in application 05, 17 and 18...
I cannot find documentation addressing this problem. Any input, anyone?

if I understand you all correctly, I can use the following plan:
0) Wait until no documents are posted on the R/3 side.
1) Run the delta loads and check that the queues are empty (RSA7 and LBWQ).
2) Delete the setup tables.
3) Run the 'Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data'
4) Create and execute infopackages for initial dataload (for the new datasources).
5) Create and execute infopackages for delta loads (for the new datasources).
6) Run the infopackages for delta load from the 'old' datasources without running a new initial dataload.
So basically 6) is the step I worry about.
That is that I can start to use 2LIS_05_ITEM, 2LIS_17_ITEM and 2LIS_18_ITEM without breaking the delta sequence for 2LIS_05_TASK, 2LIS_17_TASK and 2LIS_18_TASK.

Windows says file corrupt in download update for fiefox 7.0

After downloading the new version of Firefox, I tried to run the execute file but my computer tells me that the file is corrupted and will not run it.

Oops...tried it again..new problem. When I open Virtual, this is the message I get. When I boot from Windows it works........
"OS not found
Install an OS on this hard drive
Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device"
Think I'll uninstall and re-install e'thing from the Virtuall PC for Mac CD. Hate to do it.......just spent a long time y'day doing 17 security updates.
Maybe reinstalling I'll be able to do Machine updates.

If you purchased AppleCare then give them a call and they can coach you through it. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet I would strongly recommend doing so, this will extend the warranty from 1 to 3 years and also include 3 years of telephone support. You can only buy AppleCare during the first year of ownership.
One thing you can try though is navigating to the Applications folder, locate iDVD and try to launch it from there. You can also download the iLife apps using Lion Recovery, OS X Lion: About. If you still don't have any luck book an appointment at your local Apple Store or AASP and take it in.
It is possible you may run into another issue, Apple ceased including iDVD in iLife in 2011. This can usually be overcome by contacting AppleCare and requesting a copy.

Can't download movie-says "file corrupted"-will not let me delete download-now what?

I ordered a movie some months ago and downloaded both the HD and standard versions. A duplicate of both downloads appeared in the Download portion of my account. I tried several ways to delete these but was unable so I then tried to proceed with the duplicate downloads (just to get them off the que). I was finally able to download the standard version of the movie but when I tried to download the HD version it got almost all the way through (after 3 hours of Pause/Resume) then quit because the file was corrupted! How can I resolve this problem? I don't want this duplicate version anyway. After searching through every source of info I could I am no closer to a solution. I am operating on a Windows laptop and have current iTunes version. I unfortunately will need very basic instructions as I am in no way computer savvy. Any ideas would be very appreciated! Thanks.

I was receiving the same error message yesterday, which said There was a problem downloading "The Song Name / Album / Artist". The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload the file, choose "Check for Available Downloads" from the Store menu. The file tries to download five times before this error message appears.
I too, tried to find the file and delete it, but it was no where to be found.
So I gave up for that moment and tried again today and I was able to successfully download the file. Amazing how that works!!!

IPod updated, now says files corrupted.

I recently updated mu ipod to version 1.1.2 Shortly after I got the message that the files are corrupted. I cannot find all my audio and video files that were previously on it.
Please help!!

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the iPod software. Does that help?

I tried to install whatsapp from http://www.whatsapp.com/nokia/ but failed -"file corrupted".
i don't know what happened because the website clearly states that the app supports N85.
Another thing, Nokia Suite made me download the service controllers (no idea what that is) but i couldn't install that either, ágain, "file corrupted".
Is there something wrong with my phone?

Have you tried downloading Whatsapp directly from Nokia Store, you can find it here. You can download it directly on your mobile using the Store application or connect your phone to Nokia Suite and download it through there.
If the problem persists, try to re-install your phone software by selecting Tools > Software update on Nokia Suite.

Setup is timing out when running install for M175 on Win XP Pro

This is a new problem that has come up since I changed my WEP code on my WiFi and am now trying to edit it for my printer to continue operating wirelessly. theis setup has been working for almost three years.
I've tried running setup (4.0.2.6223) with USB or Wireless configuration and in every case it times out (Fatal Error: An install operation took too long to...). I've reviewed the HP blogs and tried many of the solutions with no luck. I am logged in as administrator and have changed spooling to manual in services. I have tried to turn off all services and hide the MS stuff in msconfig but I get an access error. I also believe that Universal Printing services is on but don't know where to disable it.
I have done tech for the last 25 years and have had literally hundreds of HP products. This proble has brought me to my knees.

Thanks for letting me know that information RonJoyal. Sorry to hear that you are still unable to install the software, you are also having the same issue with a second computer.
I believe with the USB install the Universal driver is the default driver being installed which is causing this issue.
Please follow the steps provided below:
Remove the drivers first from the Print Server Properties. How to Locate Print Server Properties for Windows 7. On the Driver tab, highlight and remove the printer. Remove the Laserjet and any Universal drivers.
Run the uninstall again to remove all the files that previously installed.
Run the install again. After connecting the USB, immediately follow this document please, to update the driver. The driver is probably defaulting to the Universal driver which is causing the software to time out. Then the install should continue through. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation.
Are you doing this installation remotely?
If you are still running into issues, then connect the Ethernet cable from the printer to the router, temporarily.
Run the install to see if the drivers will fully install by this connection.
Follow these steps to configure the wireless now.
Wait about a minute, print the configuration page to see if you get a IP address.
Printing a Configuration Report.
Then type the IP address into Internet Explorer's address bar to bring up the printer's web page. Select the networking tab, wireless on the left hand side. Fill out all your network information, select infrastructure, select your network name, put in password and type of encryption. Apply settings.
Then disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Wait for few minutes and you should get a wireless light on the printer, print the configuration page and check the IP address again. Then type the IP address into Internet Explorer's address bar to bring up the printer's web page. Just to make sure it is still on the network.
Then flip the port with the new IP address.
Go to start, devices and printers, right click the printer and left click printer properties, select the ports tab.
Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
Make sure the printer is online.
Test the printer.

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.
