Running Spore Galactic Edition

I want to buy a new mac mini, this model with the current NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card. Will this work ok running Spore Galactic Edition?
Ken

Hi Ken,
should work quite fine with the 9400M.

However, it seems that the game is not yet 'Snow Leopard'-ready according to the Reviews there.

  • Problem running Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 on Win8

After installing it, when I try to run it, nothing happens, no error dialog, no window, nothing,,,
    Suggestions?

With more details: I found an answer to a similar question on the Forum from TTWTT (TTMTT), who posted a link to download versions 2 and 3 of Digital Editions at Adobe Digital Editions downloads (Adobe Digital Editions downloads). I had tried find these downloads on Adobe's far from helpful website with total lack of success. Version 3 seems to be working.
Whether Adobe is working is a totally different question.
So far it appears that Adobe Digital Editions 4.02 is a disaster, best avoided.
My thanks to TTMTT, and if I could give credit for a correct answer I would.

  • Running CF Developer edition on a Netbook

    Hi,
I am thinking about purchasing a netbook, and I am wondering if the CF Developer edition would run on it.  I looked at the CF9 system requirements and among others it asks for Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon processors.  So it doesn't look like it will work on something like Intel Atom.   Does anyone have any experience running CF on a netbook?  Thanks!
    http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/systemreqs/
    ML

I've got one of these as my "travel" laptop (where the trip might be 2-3 months long): http://www.notebooks.com/2009/05/26/hp-mini-110-netbook-introduced/
I run CF8, CF9, Apache, SQL Server 2008, CF Builder and half a dozen Firefox windows on it simultaneously, and it runs fine.
It was quite sluggish with the default 1GB of RAM, but I upped it to 2GB and it's fine.  It's not like lightning, but it's fine for working now.
I will also say that the display on it is too small for coding on for any length of time, but if one plugs ane external monitor in, it supports 1280x1024 OK, which is adequate to work on.  Plus I have plugged in a keyboard and a mouse.

  • Commutation between "Run Mode" and "Edit Mode"

We run our GUI an we need from this "Run Mode" to pass to "Edit mode" so we can modify object properties like we do within a framework.
This explained by sun at: [http://java.sun.com/products/jlf/at/book/Behavior2.html], but with no indication of the manner we do it.
Are there class properties or methods that allow us to pass from a mode to an other.
    With best reguards.

You are not reading the page right. The "modes" that it is talking about are application specific and are only used as hypothetical cases. If you want something similar you have to implement it yourself. Java is only the tool with which you can BUILD a solution, it does not PROVIDE the solution. Keep that distinction in mind.

  • Lines Running Together When Editing Form PDFs

I created a form/fillable PDF in Acrobat XI Pro.  I want to use it on an iPad app called PDF Expert, where I can fill in the fields and save it.  When I do so and have the form sync back to my MacBook and open it, the lines of text in a fillable text box run together.  How can I prevent this from happening?
Also, when I try to save my form in Acrobat, and go to Save As Other... -> Reader Extended PDF...  the options are all grayed out. Any reason for for this?
    Thanks!

The form is opened the first time with the field set to 1.  Then I have a rule set up that when the person fills out the form and a field is filled in, it sets the field to 2.  The intent is to have the form open all subsequent times in the
second view.  I don't know if that's the best way to go about doing that, but that's the best way we could come up with.
Do the Form Load rules only run once?

  • Photoshop CC 2014 running slow while trying to edit 1.4 GB photos.

    Hi,
Anyone have any recommendations for getting CC 2014 to run faster while editing large files (1+ GB)? It seems to bog down doing simple tasks like Selection. I just installed a new graphics card, a Radeon R9 270x with 2 GB GDDR5 for the GPU. Also am running 8 GB of system RAM with about 70% allocated to Photoshop. Should I bump up the RAM to 16 GB? Or maybe use better ram? ( I don't remember the brand of RAM I have now, but it's 1300 MHz). Or should I allocate more ram to Photoshop?
Or...am I just always going to have this issue when editing such large files?
As a side note, I don't run a SSD, just a 500 GB HD of which 190 GB is free. No partition.
    Thanks for the help.

Graphics driver should be up to date. I literally just installed the card and drivers last night. GPU acceleration is enabled, but will that really slow things down? The card should handle most of what's thrown at it. And effect rendering isn't really all that slow, just tasks like Selection, and other toolbar type tasks. Even opening the files takes a bit of time.

  • Error viewing variables tab after running edit UI

    Hi,
I have a problem that seems to be somewhat like this:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/Error-viewing-variables-tab-in-Runtime-Operator-Interface/m-p/1...
The VI I am trying to run is an edit substep of a step type. LabVIEW checks to see if the "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName" property exists, populates a listbox with it if it does. Another listbox with all the available measurement names also appears on the UI. The user has an Add and Remove button to remove measurements from the "ReadMeas" listbox or add them to it from the "MeasNames" listbox. Multiple names can be added/removed at once depending on whats selected when the buttons are pressed. Once "Done" is clicked the VI writes the"ItemNames" property of the "ReadMeas" listbox to "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName", using a Set Property Value node which is passed the TestStand Sequence Context. If the property doesn't exist it creates it.
The only time I have any problem is when I try to remove items from the property after it is already initialized (i.e. not empty). In other words, if I run the VI from teststand, put several measurement names into "ReadMeas" click done, run the VI again (the names already added appear in the box when the UI comes up, LabVIEW reads "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName" ), and then remove some of the names. IF I had "ThisContext.Step.Setup.ReadMeasNames" opened in the step "Variables" tab when trying to remove the names this message appears in the Variables tab: "One or more errors have occurred. Please Save your work and restart the application." If I make sure not to have "ThisContext" expaded in the variables tab, but check the property before and after removing names from the list it does work properly and there is no error.
This isn't a big deal becuase I doubt the end-user will be checking to see that the property actually got populated, but I still would like to fix the bug if possible. I've installed the patch for TestStand 2010, and the .Net framwork 4.0. Anyone have any idea what could be going on here?
    Thanks,
    -Josh

It looks like you're running into a Known Issue 193751, which is documented in the TestStand 2010 and 2010 SP1 Known Issues List. This is an issue that we intend to fix in a future version of TestStand.

  • FMS developed edition running on XP (need apache)

    Hi,
Was informed by a mod over at the flash comm forums
    here,
that I could run the developer edition of FMS on my XP box but i've
been having loads of trouble talking to it from my mac..
Do i require a web server loading to serve the media server?
    something like apache?
I've just tried accessing an flv in the following directory
    C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Media Server
    2\applications\videoApp\streams\_definst_\greenScreen.flv, via an
FLVPlayback component running from my mac with the contentPath of
    rtmp://172.16.100.138/videoApp/greenScreen.flv and it fires a
'failed to load' error when attempting to talk to the box to match
    source dimensions etc..
I have set the server address to the IP of the machine:
    172.16.100.138 and my mac's is 172.16.100.11 (same subnet/gateway)
If anyone has any advice on how I can get talking to it i'd
    be really grateful.

Have just tried an AS ver and still nothing..
    I can't understand why this isn't working??
I've created a video instance called 'vid'
Dropped it on the stage and applied the following code:
    var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    nc.connect("rtmp://172.16.100.138/videoApp");
    var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
    vid.attachVideo(ns);
    ns.play("greenScreen");
-- I've tried running it from my mac with the above IP (my XP
box's that's running the FMS), running it as 'localhost' on the XP
box, varying rtmp/rtmpt and attempting to assign specifc ports via
:1935, :80 etc. but I still get nothing..
Is there a trace command I can use to track the progress of
the connection attempts? or something similar?
and there's nothing in particular that I need to do with the
FMS other than assemble the files in the correct structure and fire
    it up?
This should be the simplest thing in the world to do but i'm
    still getting nowhere.?.
If ANYone has any ideas or advice I would be really
    grateful!!
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Create a simply link run XMLForm edit

    Hello,
anyone knows how to run directly, the edit form of an previous created XMLForm project?
If we run it using a iview with the layoutset NewsExplorer, isn´t a good solution, because it gives us all the XMLforms, and we need to select one of them.
...... about this problem, i just found out a way for restricting the forms in a folder.
The realy best solution for my problems, it will be, if it's possible, with a link in a iview that i can open the edit form of a particular xmlform.
    Many thanks,

  • Intel GMA950 drivers/update help play spore!?

Hi, I am having trouble running spore on my macbook, i am able to play somewhat but i cant seem to view the creature creations part, at certain points the screen is black where it should show color. since this only happens in certain points of the game i am curious if this is fixable with a driver update(where i could get this driver for a intel GMA 950 for mac im not sure) now i know that on the box it says that the game only supports the x1300 intel gpu, but the game runs already on the 950 more-so than not. if someone could help me i would greatly appreciate a link to possibly update graphics drivers if there are any, or if someone knows of a fix for the game spore (note that i have heard of a fix for the mac mini and the game works fine on windows with an intel 950.) just macbook users with a 950 are sitting in the dust. help plz.

I just got an update for my trial edition of the Spore Creature Creator. Previously i wasnt able to run it on my Intel GMA 950 MacBook. Now it runs perfectly after the update was installed. There might be hope for an update to the full game that will allow compatibility with the 950 for the creature creation part.

  • Here's how to do ALV (OO) with dynamic fcat, int table and editable data

    Hi everybody
Here's a more useful approach to ALV grid with OO using dynamic table, data NOT from DDIC, dynamic FCAT and how to get changed lines from the grid when ENTER key is pressed.
It's really not too dificult but I think this is more useful than the ever present SFLIGHT methods from the demos.
This also defines a subclass of cl_gui_alv_grid so you can access the protected attributes / methods of that class.
You don't need to add the class via SE24 -- done fron this ABAP.
When you run it click Edit for the first time.
After editing data press ENTER and the break point should bring you into the relevant method.
Code developed on NW2004S trial version but also works on rel 6.40 on a "Real" system.
The code should work without any changes on any system >=6.40.
All you need to do is to create a blank screen 100 via SE51  with a custom container on it called CCONTAINER1.
The rest of the code can just be uploaded into your system using the SE38 upload facility.
When running the program click on the EDIT button to enable the edit functionality of the grid.
Change your data and when you press ENTER you should get the break-point where you can see the original table and changed rows.
This program is actually quite general as it covers Dynamic tables, building a dynamic fcat where your table fields are NOT in the DDIC, intercepting the ENTER key via using an event, and accessing the protected attributes of the cl_gui_alv_grid by defining a subclass of this class in the abap.
I've seen various questions relating to all these functions but none in my view ever answers the questions in a simple manner. I hope this simple program will answer all these and show how using OO ALV is actually quite easy and people shouldn't be scared of using OO.
Have fun and award points if useful.
    Cheers
    Jimbo.

    Hi there
IE7 doesn't give me the add new page option and I get 404 error when trying to access the "How to contribute" section.
I'll load up Firefox later (this browser usually works when IE7 doesn't always work properly).
I'll copy the stuff to the wiki when I've got the browser sorted out.
    Cheers

  • Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 crashing on Mac

I have a Macintosh running Mavericks, 10.9.5 and was running Adobe Digital Editions 2 happily and then made the major error of trying to "update" to Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 -- and the installer crashed. Now when I try to run Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 it just crashes, and restoring Adobe Digital Editions 2 from Time Machine gives me an app that does not open.
Any advice other than never trying to use Adobe Digital Editions again, and remembering Adobe as a company that does not support it's products?
