Running text at -90 in Dreamweaver 8?

okay, I'd say this is incredibly simple to achieve but since
Dreamweaver was never my forté, I am having slight problems.
Basically i want to add a small line of text to my index.html which
is running at -90 degrees to the bottom left hadn side alonside the
flash.swf in dreamweaver.
The movie is centred both vertically and horizontally and I
want this 9pt text to run along side it as copyright information.
Is this easily done? any help would be grealt appreciated!

I am looking to add a text ticker onto a dreamweaver page

Hi
I am looking to add a horizontal text ticker onto a dreamweaver cs4 page. This is to highlight areas within the site so will not be linked to any news association, simply used for the benefit of the site and probably changed daily.

You need to follow their instructions VERY CAREFULLY and completely, or the links don't work.
Of course, without a valid product key (which Adobe doesn't sell anymore, except for CS6 - maybe) you can only use them for 30 days.

Cant figure out how to add text fields etc. in dreamweaver, layout made in photoshop

hi all
ok... first of all i want to say im sorry for posting such a noob question, but im new to this, so please take a few minutes to help me out
so i have kind of an annoying problem.
ive made an webpage layoout in photoshop. ive made "boxes" i want to put my content in. i have sliced it and got it in to dreamweaver.
im gonna use the page for bloging and stuff so i would like go have an text field where i can edit text and then post it to the site. but the problem is that everytime i try to insert ext fileds etc, it dosent place correctly and its white and not big enough at all.... ill show you a screenshot to explain..
so yeah... u see the 3 "boxes", in the big one i want to be able to add text and since its not so big, i want to have a scroll bar in it. the two small ones are boxes i wud like to use for index or something (havent really figured out what i wanna have on the site yet)
ok... now i will show u what happens when i try to add the text area to the page.
yeah... so u are all able to see that this is not what i wanted to happen......
i want the textfield to be where the grey"box"is ... but it wont let me... also it gets all white... it wuld be nice to get it to have the color the grey box have
so help would be great
and btw, i dont have knowlege in html and css coding, so if u could explain it so i dont have to do coding in text, but only visual, it would be nice. yea im a naab...

Use graphics apps for images only. DO NOT export HTML from Photoshop or Fireworks. The result is table based code that precisely fits the image slices and nothing else.
When you try to edit graphics app generated code in DW, your page layout will fall apart.

Problem copying text from word to dreamweaver

Howdy..
had a problem copying text from a word doc (07) to
dreamweaver, for some strange reason it missed a complete section
in the middle, 2 paragraphs gone... no errors... no blank spaces,
just would not copy and paste the section, everything b4 and after
was fine, the only way to correct this was to copy to
textpad/notepad first and then recopy and paste..
anybody have any ideas ?
anyone seen this happen b4?

nope, there didnt seem to be any special formatting in the
word doc, just a straight forward press release, two of them
actually and they both had sections that didn't copy and paste.
what was very strange was it was sections in the middle of
the docs, and wasnt the same in both, was 2 different areas in
each, just when u copy'd and pasted it gave nothing..
and ive never seen anything like it b4,
ive just upgraded to CS4 a few weeks back and this is the
first time ive noticed it, ill keep my eye out and see if its
somethng to do with the way word is formatting stuff..

How can I modify font size in selected text, using CS6 of Dreamweaver please?

For some unknown reason, I see that coding on some of my pages has the unwelcome or tags present in some places. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

I sometimes manually delete each such presence that I see, but it's tedious to do so. Nevertheless I don't see a feature on Dreamweaver CS6 that enables me to change selections', as opposed to entire pages', fonts and their corresponding sizes. Perhaps Dreamweaver's Modify feature has the desired option tucked away in there somewhere, but I haven't seen it. Any thoughts, please?

The code you are showing is all old deprecated stuff. DWCS6 would not write that. Is this old code that you are trying to update?

The , tags have been replaced by styling with css.
So your code might look like:
<td>para nuestros foros</td>
and the css (which goes in the <head></head> section of your page OR a linked css stylesheet) looks like:
<style>
td {
font-size: 12px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #ccc;
</style>
If you just want to target a specific piece of text in a <td> table cell you can do this:
<td>para nuestros foros</td>
<style>
td span {
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #000;
</style>
Sounds to me like you need to read up on styling elements with css.

How to add edited text from photoshop to dreamweaver

I edited text in photoshop to make it look nice and sparkly. I am trying to put it in a flash site but do not understand how. the context file only allows you to choose the color and type of font but nothing more such as drop shadows and such. when i go to edit the context code for the flash site what would the code for edited text in photoshop look like in dreamweaver context editor?

I am not sure I understand? There is no Photoshop code?
You would take the image you created in Photoshop and place it into your Dreamweaver document. Correct me if I don't understand what you are trying to do.

Cannot view content text and elements in Dreamweaver

Hi,
I am not an expert in Dreamweaver, still learning. Would anyone tell me why when I open up the template in Dreamweaver's design view I cannot see the content text and other elements to edit or view? However, all those are still viewable in browsers. I can edit content only through code mode in Dreamweaver, not in design view. I am attaching the whole template for you to see.
I would greatly appreciate your feedbacks.

Found it in the last line of the code, it's a Joomla template.
The only real way to use this with dreamweaver is with one of the extensions for dreamweaver (not 100% required, but difficult without one), there are a number of extensions available (sorry, but none are free that I know of).

Running swf file within a dreamweaver page

Hi all ive been really struggling in getting my web shot gallery to run with my dreamweaver page on my site, ive managed to get it running on its own on my server but soon as i put in my site it does not run, i only get a white screen

Have you uploded al lscripts associated with the SWF? Auxiliary SWF assets such as palyer skins? Was the gallery created relative to the same root directory as your site? One problem I definitely see is the use of spaces in file names, which could lead to names being truncated or misinterpreted....

Can't find the text editor menu in dreamweaver

I am a returning dreamweaver user. It has been 8 years since I used it.
I am writing some text on a website and want to edit the way it looks. Where is the text editing menu where I can change fonts and font colors, sizes, etc? It used to be at the bottom. All I see currently is the "properties" tab.

App for displaying large running text on iPhone

Hi,
During the closing ceremony of the London Olympics I saw a lot of atheletes holding up their iphones while diplaying large "running" messages like "Thank you" etc. Sort of like a ticker tape message and I've been trying to search the web and itune store for an app for this.
Does anybody know what the app is call?

Auto-correct works is what Apple calls predictive text. As you type, it will give you suggestions. I will leave you to explore the rest of how that works in the manual.

2.1120: Access of undefined property TextConverter.
3.Could not resolve <s:Application> to a component implementation
4.1119: Access of possibly undefined property INLINE_GRAPHIC_STATUS_CHANGE through a reference with static type Class.
Am using flexbuilder 3 with flexsdk4.0 and flashplayer 10.0.32. I dono what was d problem... Could anyone know about to fix.

From a distance it sounds like there is more than one version of the textLayout swc in your compile path. Looks like you have the spark components so there is one version included with the Flex SDK.
Either that or your examples are out of date with respect to the textLayout swc you have. The releasenotes have details on the API changes.
