Running the hello example in client shell

I have followed the hello example for rmi_iiop okay until this following step. What should I do to make it run correctly?
C:\weblogic\myserver\corbaclient\examples\rmi_iiop\hello>java examples.rmi_iiop.

Please look for a file named orb.properties in your classpath and in the c:\jdk1.3 directory and adjust it to your liking.

The classpath and path to run the client is:

You can see that no iona jars are involved. For unknown reason, the program referenced iona stuff and might have caused it not to run properly. Any help is appreciated.

  • Help -   running the Persistence Example

    Hi All,
    I am running on NW2004s SPS10
    Please somebody has a Persistence example?? I can't run the SAP examples on my PDA (Dell AXIM X51v +Windows Mobile 2005) i found this information in the SAP Note 717510
    <i>MDK: Links to MI client home page <b>are not working</b> in some example programs
    Application is working fine but for the ME Home link for 3 MDK applications: MDK_persistence_query_sortJSP, MDK_persistence_queryJSP and MDK_persistence_simpleJSP.
    ( Changed at 30.04.2007 )</i>
    I would like to run the MDK_persistence_simpleJSP
    There is another Persistence example? Can somebody give me a link to download it. I want to learn how to use the persistence api, but without any running example is very difficult to test the code.
    Best Regards,

    Hi all! Thank a lot for your replies.
    I run the MDK_PERSISTENCE_QUERYJSP in the Windows XP SAP Mobile Client, it runs Perfect!

    But this has no sense!! since both Windows XP MI Client and PDA MI CLient are at the same version. So It run in my Desktop but not in my PDA.
    I saw the menu.jsp file
    They used the PersistenceExample class in two places:
    At the beginning of the JSP: <b><%@ page import="persistenceexample2.PersistenceExample" %></b>
    And here:
    String value = dataBean.getTableContent(i, j);
                if (i > 1) {
                     <b>value = PersistenceExample.encodeForHtml(value);</b>
                if (value.trim().length() < 1){
                     value = " ";
    From a point of view of Java, everything appear to be "OK"
    The other error is about a "version" should i configured the application to Version 45 in the nwa when i deploy the application?

    Since this is a DAQ question more than a Measurement Studio for VC++ question, I'd recommend you repost it to the DAQ forum.

  • Help Running The SpeakHere Example

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie to iphone development coming from world of windows, so apologies in advance if it's a dumb question. I'm trying to run the SpeakHere example but so far unable to do so. The program compiles and launches, but freezes when I click 'record'. I tried to debug, and it seems to crash at:
    recorder->StartRecord(CFSTR("recordedFile.caf"));
    At least it doesn't go past this line (there's no error). So far I checked that audio input works in another app (garage band), gave the speakhere's sandbox full permissions, made sure I have the latest version of the os and sdk, and now not too sure what to do. Any help greatly appriciated.

    Problem Solved:
    After discovering where to look for errors I found that the error was:
    Error loading /Library/QuickTime/DivX Decoder.component...
    The solution was to remove the decoder and encoder from the /Library/QuickTime folder.

  • Running the heapTracker example

    Hi there
    I am trying to run the heapTracker example that is in the demo/jvmti directory, and I am having problems with it. When I try to run it with what it says in the readme file (java -Xbootclasspath/a:heapTracker.jar), I get the following error message:
    ERROR: JNI: Cannot find heapTracker with FindClass
    It seems like a small problem, but it is making me go crazy! Has anyone else ever encountered this before?
    Cheers
    Sajid

    Hi
    Yeah, I managed to get it to work I move the jar file into the same directory as the dllsseems a bit strange, but it worked.
    A problem I am going to try and make some changes to the heaptracker, but I can not get it to compile, the errors I have listed below. It looks like I am missing a library or something, but I am not sure which. Has anyone else ever encountered a problem like this?
    error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol fatalerror referenced in function _checkJvmtiError     heapTracker.obj
    error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol javacrw_demo@76 referenced in function _cbClassFileLoadHook@40     heapTracker.obj

    Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thank You

  • Calling report from forms while running the application from thin clients

    I am using thin client technology with 64MB RAM for running developer 6i application.
    The server has windows 2000 advanced server with 256 MB RAM.
    When I run the apllication from a single client, it works fine even for multiple windows.
    But the moment I switch on more thin clients, the client which fired the printing job first works fine, while the others allow data entry using forms but any call to report for direct printing throws an illegal condition error. I have tried both run_product and host option for running reports. The error returned is the same.
    Howver if the report is run from command prompt simultaneously from both the clients it works fine.
    Immediate help required in this case
    chandandeep

    Hi,
    you better off using Run_Report_Object() instead of Run_Product(). There is a Whitepaper available on otn.oracle.com/products/forms that details this. The problem that you run into is that Forms Services(thin clients) are multi user environments while Reports called via Run_Product() is a single user environment. This means that the Reports Runtime does not handle Reports requests in parallel but sequential one at a time. The first user blocks the runtime engines and all other hang for this time.

    If you are getting this error, then you are most likely compiling your code with a different JVM than what is shipped with the application server. Oracle9iAS Release 2 (9.0.2) uses the JDK1.3.1. I got this error when I compiled the code with JDK1.4.0_01.

    Hi,
    I got the bookstore6 example running on my windows XP box within glassfish. I am able access the URL http://localhost:8080/bookstore6. But whenever I click on the map or a link to pick a locale, I get an exception. Below is what I see in the server log file. Any help is appreciated.

    Hey Carolyn1951,
    Thanks for the question. I understand you have a few apps that only display "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:
    App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4111336
    Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
    Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
    If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

    Juhi..

    Dear Juhi,
    The "app name" thing is what I tried telling you yesterday. I advice you to reset the client data from settings link in client, sync a couple of times, check the status of the undeployed app in the Web Console / NWA, and if problem persists, remove assignment of the new app, sync couple of times, and then add app again.
    By the way, have you got the name thing right? See the Application name, not the project name should be the same with the name of the war/sda file and the app/component name in the j2ee engine. I had wanted you to see the following text in your NWDS help - > SAP Net. Dev. Studio Doc.->MI Dev./MDK ->Go and create ->First Example JSP:
    The class SystemInfo extends AbstractMEHttpServlet which extends javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet itself. The method doHandleEvent does:
    Implemented Classes in the Servlet for the Example
    We create a class SystemInfo that extends the class AbstractMEHttpServlet and implements Constants. Constants is an interface in which we define all relevant variables for the application. All variables used in Constants are written in uppercase characters. So anytime you see an uppercase variable used in class SystemInfo you will find the definition in interface Constants.
    The class SystemInfo extends AbstractMEHttpServlet which extends javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet itself. The method doHandleEvent does:
    public String getApplicationName()
    This method has to be overwritten. It returns the name of the MI client application. The name specified here has to be the same used for the WAR file name and the name of the application specified in the MI Webconsole.
