Running Win 7 (64 bit) Acrobat X Pro ERROR 1602

Hello all ,
Just did a fresh install of windows 7 and tried to install acrobat X keep getting error 1602 when trying to update, all of windows files are up to date as well as adobe air and flash .
things I gave already done :
1. installed from CD/DVD got error on update
2. uninstalled and reinstalled from CD/DVD still error on update
3. uninstalled , downloaded from adobe and then reinstalled -error on update
I am not a trial user I have a valid serial number so I don't understand this error

Are you still facing this issue. What is the current exact version of Acrobat installed on your machine?
You may download update patch manually and try to install and let me know if that helps : Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows

Acrobat X Pro error "font not found" for all non-Adobe programs

I'm running Win 7 64-bit, Extensis Suitcase 3 (current version).
Having difficulty printing to PDF from all non-Adobe applications- everything from MS Word to Notepad. I can PDF fine from InDesign and Illustrator, whether using the File/Adobe PDF Presets or print-to-PDF. The problem occurs for me on all PS fonts that I have tested, whether very old or new. The fonts and files can be printed to Postscript printers with no problems- no missing fonts or substitutions. The problem only happens when trying to PDF in Acrobat.
I have two associates with printing issues, too. They are on XP and still use ATM 4.1. They've had similar PDFing problems since they were moved up to Acrobat Pro X.

getting the following error message after installing acrobat 7 pro with the adobe link-"there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. If it is running, please exit and try again (0:104)." It is running on windows 7 32-bit OS. Any permanent solutions?

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the reply. You would think Adobe Support could have told me that so I really appreciate it. Do you know what I need to do to upgrade it ? Can I find an upgrade on E-Bay or do I need to go to COMP USA or some other place to buy the upgrade? Last, what exactly am I looking for to upgrade it to the newest version. (Name of product). Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Error Message : "Adobe Acrobat Has Stopped Working"

I use Windows 7 - 64bit / CS6 Master Collection that has Adobe Acrobat x Pro.
When the computer is on for a little while, Acrobat would generate the error message that it has stopped working and then shuts down. Once that error message occurs, I cannot get Acrobat to stay open. It opens the PDF document, stays open for a few seconds then the error message occurs and it shuts down.
What helps for a short term is to restart the computer. This seems to temporarily remove the error until the computer is on for a while then the error returns.
This problem repeats. Product repair feature does not work. This has nothing to do with the license, I tried that fix and it made no differnce. I do not have this issue with other Adobe products included in the master collection.
It seems fruitless and frustrating to send a message to Adobe Support, the run around with pages and links is like smacking walls on every turn, it is obvious Adobe does not want people contacting their support. Service from Adobe for their products is poor.
I hope that someone here has the answer to the problem. Anyone?

Ok, here is the update.
The link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html , leads to a webpage that says to download a fix ZIP file named: "Acrofix.ZIP". It contains the file "acrofix.exe".
I did use this "exe" file about 2 months ago and it did nothing to fix the issue. I used it again today, because the same issue of "Adobe Acorbat has stopped working", occurred again and again it did not work, the problem of "Adobe Acrobat stopped working" presists. Again the only work around, which is temporary, is to reboot the computer.
So far these do not work:
Relicensing or Registering the Licence
Acrofix.exe
Anyone else have an answer? - or am I the only one suffering this really annoying issue?

Cannot reinstall acrobat x pro; error message 1402

I had acrobat X pro installed, could not update, error message 1402 popped up. Adobe site suggested uninstalling Acrobat and reinstalling, uninstalled, tried to reinstall but with 57 seoncds left of reinstallation error message 1402 appeared and installation was backed out. I went from not being able to update to not having the program on my machine at all. How can I reinstall?

Here is one suggestion: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-1402-error-1406-acrobat.html. What I suggest it to follow the instructions to uninstall all versions. Then run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html) and remove any part left of the Acrobat folder (typically in Program Folders>Adobe). Reboot as the administrator and disable anti-virus. Then try the install.

Acrobat X Pro error

I bought Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium. All the programs installed and run properly with the exception of Acrobat X Pro. Recently when I tried to open the program, I received a message saying that my "trial" had expired and I would need to purchase the software. I had already paid for the product and entered the product code when I installed it so why would this message would pop up at all?

Acrobat X Pro Error when Save As JPEG: Insufficient Disk Space to Perform Operation

Using Acrobat X Pro when trying to save a PDF as an Image - JPEG format, the Acrobat application fails with an error: "Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error: Insufficient disk space to perform the operation (Page 1)". Please can you help with the location of the TEMP folder and which temporary files to delete (file type/extension). Each of the these folders include an "Adobe" Folder. Each "Adobe" folder size is less than 1MB.
I am using Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit. I have the following Adobe Acrobat applications installed: Distiller X, X Pro and Reader XI. Is this combination perhaps causing the problem?

Acrobat X pro - error 16

Using Acrobat X pro v 11 on win7 enterprise 64 bit. on opening a pdf error 16 is received which basically states to uninstall/reinstall the program. Attempted this; got the same result. Installed and ran cleanup tool, uninstalled/reinstalled and got the same result.

How to run script on Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

HI all i'm new to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Scripting, and I'm hoping someone can help me how i can run any javascript on Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. I have no idea which place (location) take script then run.
Like Adobe InDesign CS4 script location=>
Application>Adobe InDesign CS4>Scripts>Scripts Panel>JavaScript
Run Path =>
Window>Automation>Script then run

Adobe Acrobat X Pro Error in SharePoint 2010

I have a group of users who are unable to access PDF Files in a
Specific Folder in SharePoint 2010
They are however able to open PDF Files from emails, desktop, other shared folders and
other folders in SharePoint 2010. See the error message below.
Error Message:
There was an error opening this document. File open failed.
Note the users are currently using Adobe Acrobat X PRO. Could this be a permission issue in SharePoint?

In addition to permission, are you able to open same PDF from other folder or library? Just download PDF file using windows explorer and upload in any library folder and open it.
Since you are able to open other PDF files so i suspect that there is issue with specific file only. You might also try to same file in different browser.

Help!! Can't launch Acrobat 7 Pro (Error locating "updater.api")

Acrobat 7 Pro has worked fine all week, and today - boom!
Receiving the following error messages:
1st Error Window
"There was an error while loading the plug-in "updated.api". The plug-in failed to initialize.
2nd Error Window
" The instruction at "0x221231c4" referenced memory at "0x0000004c". The memory could not be "read"
Tech support no longer supports this version over the telephone and I don't have the funds to upgrade right now.
Just moved office and my original softward is somewhere is a wrecked storage unit across town...
Any ideas on how to fix? A quick fix..... I use this program all day long....

When using Acrobat X Pro, error message "You don't have permission to save to this location"

I had this problem with Adobe Acrobat X on my Windows 7 system using IE9. (Note that I did not receive this error in Firefox as others have also reported in other forum posts.) I spoke with a guy in Adobe support who recommended this solution...
Click on Start, then "Printers & Devices".
Right click on the Adobe PDF printer icon and select "Printing Preferences".
If it's not displayed already click on the "Adobe PDF Settings" tab.
Uncheck the box that says, "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts".
Click "Apply", then "OK" and close all prior windows
That's it!
Finally, when you install Acrobat it should also install an Adobe Add-On in Internet Explorer. It adds a two buttons ("Convert" and "Select") to the IE toolbar area. The Adobe tech recommended using the "Convert" button rather than just printing to a PDF as it "prints more accurately". Note that selecting the drop down arrow you can choose other options like, "Convert Web Page and E-mail".

Acrobat 8 Pro Error when download pdf from website

Fresh install of Acrobat 8 Pro.
Win XP Home edition SP3.
IE 7.0.5730
Windows message:
"Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it?"

This happens everytime I try to download a pdf (different file name of course)

I remember what the difference is. I used to have different choices. [Open] [Save] [Cancel]
I used to Always choose OPEN for pdfs. I could choose to save later if I decided to keep the file. Is this a change that Adobe made? A browser plug-in, maybe?
I really dont want to save EVERYTHING, and have to remember to drag it to the recycle bin later.
Any help?
