Running Window Xp, upgraded Firefox 4, installed OK, set to restart, keeps on asking for restart when FF selected?

Cant uninstall FF 4 until restart, returns to the same question after restarting.
Have reinstalled FF 3.6 successfully which is running as normal.

Uninstall Firefox. Search Firefox in your Windows drive (C:\) and DELETE all Firefox folders found in the search.

Now Restart your computer and re-download Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
Check and tell if its working.

Unable to connect.
Firefox is unable to connect to the server at comcast.net.
The computer is a HP Pavilion is Pentium 4 CPU at 2.80 GHz with 1.50GB of RAM.
The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 3.
The Harddrive is 143GB with 62.7GB used and 80.7GB free.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have tried re-booting my computer, but this did not work.

Thanks Geoff. I was finally able to locate the ".lrcat.lock" file relevant to the catalog I want to open. Once I deleted it, LR5 was able to access my images. Problem solved. THANK YOU

No, you must install Windows to run Windows software. You do not need to use Boot Camp (yes, it's free because it comes with OS X.)
Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.

Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. Firefox version 35.0. When I open Firefox and get messages, no problems. When I write an email and send, Firefox asks me for password. I am able to send/receive emails while open. If I close Firefox and open, it asks for password when I send. Months ago, I changed my login password to Netzero.com (made it more secure). Since then, I've had this annoying password request. How to satisfy the login server password for receiving/sending emails?

You selected Encrypt iPhone Backups in iTunes. Then you entered a password.
It would be that specific password it is asking for.

Lets clear a couple of things up first.
1, You have the Photographers CC subscription which gives you access to PSCC and the current version of Lightroom.
2. PSCC does not include Lightroom.
Now what you will need to do is delete the Lightroom app on your iMac and restart the Mac. Then you can d/load Lightroom from the CC app.
