Running Windows 7 and connecting to VPN

There is an issue at my university with signing on to its VPN netword using Lion. I want to install Windows7 on my mac so I can run the VPN connection through windows (which should theoretically work). My question is this: If I connected to the VPN through Windows on my MacBook and then switch to the MacOS, will I remain connected to the VPN or will I be dropped once I swtich from Windows to MacOS?

It should drop because the settings are different. Settings don't transfer over.

I am unable to connect to the iTunes Store. This issue began yesterday, 3/11/13. I previously have been able to connect to the store successfully on this computer which runs Windows 7 and Security Center since November. I also used the iTunes Store on my previous computer for several years. I am able to connect to the store with my new iPod Touch 5th generation. Iv just got a macbook pro today, and I don't know how to transfer my itunes library from my imac..
the simplest way, assuming all your media files are in the default location, would be to connect the two Macs with a firewire cable, boot the source Mac in Target Disk Mode, and copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music folder) from <MacintoshHD>/users/yourname/music on the source to <MacintoshHD>/users/yourname/music on the target (overwriting the iTunes folder in place there).
My sister is having my old imac, so I also need to then clear the itunes on the imac for her.
just a create a new admin user account for her on the iMac.

Also, once I re-downloaded everything, cleaned everything up, and deleted duplicate files, I closed down my computer. Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I just purchased a new computer that runs windows 8 and it doesn't want to recognize the time capsule as an external hard drive (ie doesn't show up under my compter). I've downloaded and run airport utility, but it seems to have a hard time finding the time capsule...maybe one out of 10 times it will find it.
What's more, when I look under network infrastructure under the control panel, it shows my Broadcom ADSL centurylink Router...so I'm wondering if my modem/router combo is overriding the router function on my timecapsule and the time capsule is not being used as a router...

In this case the TC should be in bridge mode.
Win8 is still problematic. Try using ethernet instead of wireless. I think the drivers are poor still and it is well worth having a try via ethernet if you haven't already.
Otherwise you will need to wait for apple to release bonjour for windows 8 and airport utility.. which is not out yet.
Also make sure the windows is set to home, not work or public.. even turn off the firewall.
Open windows explorer and type the TC ip address into the address bar.. (none of which is perhaps the same.. I gave away windows at vista.. shudder)

My computer crashed and it has been restored. I am running Windows XP and I did not re-install Firefox Aurora after the computer was restored with new motherboard and HDs. All of my software works, but the autocomplete does not. Firefox remembers my username for logging in and my password. It is just the autocomplete. I have to completely type in the website name. When I open the History and Bookmarks window, there are no entries. The yellow star in the address bar also does not work. When I click on it, nothing happens.

That camera model has been supported since ACR 8.3 and it is most certainly supported by ACR 8.6 and ACR 8.7 (beta).
Either you have damaged, corrupt image files, or a faulty Photoshop and/or ACR installation.
If there are no privacy issues, you can post one of your files to the FTP service of your choice (such as Dropbox or yousendit.com), post the link to it, and someone here can take a look at it for you.
