Runtime Error '109' - Business Object 6.5 - VBA macro

I am getting the same Runtime error '109' when trying to run my old reports(6.5) which have VBA Macros with the new XI 3.1 DeskI. Here's what I did:
1) Installed BO XI 3.1 client Tools on a machine which has BO 6.5 client tools
2) Opened the .rep in the XI 3.1 DeskI. CLick OK when it warns you that it is a earlier version and If you want to convert to new version.
Then when i try to run the report i get this error. The same .rep runs just fine with 6.5 Full Client.
Any Ideas guys? Am I  missing any references or something ?
Thanks

Larry, I have seen some instances of VBA code not running in  the new Deski version, possibly some calls are different. You will want to open an SAP incident for eng. to take  a  look at the VBA code.

  • Portal Runtime Error - CRM Business Package

    Hi,
    I've have installed Business Package for SAP CRM 4.0 60.2.3 onto my Netweaver Portal. My Netweaver Portal version is EP7.0 SP10. My SAP CRM version is CRM 5.0. I've also done the connectivity test for both Connector and Web AS. Both connection results are successful.
    However, when I go to Portal to see the CRM iViews, it gives me an error as follow (this is one of them):
    Portal Runtime Error
    An exception occurred while processing a request for :
    iView : pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.migrated/ep_5.0/roles/com.sap.pct.crm.container.SapCRM40.All/PartnerMngrCC/SrvCtr/Service/com.sap.pct.crm.channelmgmt.service
    Component Name : null
    Page could not create the iView.
    See the details for the exception ID in the log file
    I look into the log file, it says:
    User PIAFUSER, IP address
    HTTP request processing failed. HTTP error [403] will be returned. The error is [You are not authorized to view the requested resource.No details available].
    If given SAP_ALL profile to PIAFUSER.
    Appreciate any help on this.

    Hiya,
    first off, if your backend is CRM 5.0 you should use the BP for CRM 5.0 instead of the 4.0 one.
    As you know, in SAP NetWeaver 2004s, the portal is installed as a usage type via SAPINST. Now for installing the Business Package for CRM 5.0 there's a SAP note because the installation process also goes via SAPINST.
    Check out SAP Note 883948. The following sections should be particularly helpful:
    Section PREPARATION -> Components of BP CRM (UT Code: BP-CRM)
    Section INSTALLATION, esp. info on JSPM
    Best regards

  • Unicode error in business object ECC6

    Hi all,
    We upgraded from 4.6c to ECC6.
    While executing a business object we got the syntax following error in ECC6.
    The program "Z_2005PP" is not Unicode-compatible, according to its program attributes
    We dont know how to solve it, becauseZ_2005PP is a business object.
    How to solve this issue?
    Regards,
    Kumar.

    You can unicode enable the Business Objects programs by following steps :
    1)     Execute PROG u2018SWO_SET_UC_FLAGu2019
    2)     Provide object type.( In your case Z_2005PP )
    3)     Execute.
    4)     Result
    This should resolve the error.

  • Error in Business Object bus2000126

    Hello all,
    i have given a workflow issue, in customer interaction center.
    The issue is " When A OS Tech support case is created in business activity ( crmd_bus2000126 ), the case is open, and this case is assingned to a person ( field-assigned to) and if that person is not taking any action in that case for 4 hrs a notification(via email) has to send to his HR Manager and this continues for every 24hrs till the status not open (ie any other status ).
    Business object - bus2000126
    Delegated object - zbu2000126
    For this case i am creating a fuction module to find the HR managers mail id and i am calling this function module in a method.
    Error:
    When i try to release the method, it said release the higher level first, so i tried to release the business object ( zbu2000126 ) but it says " SET THE STATUS FOR SUPERTYPE FIRST ".
    Can any one help me on this issue.
    Note: the subtype is created in one request.
          the method that i want to create is in other request.
    Thanks in advance

    copy the code of the method, delete the method. save and generate...
    then again create the method by copying the code.
    sometimes it happens with no reason... may be a bug.(My trainer from SAP told me this...)
    This will solve your problem first..
    Another thumb rule is that object status shud be atleast implemented before releasing the method.
    Based on the last error message better do the following, check the status of   supertype BUS2000126. Make it to relesed if necessary.
    Your problem will be solved.

    Sandeep Josyula

  • Applet Java_Report_Panel Notinited Error in Business Objects XIR2 Webi

    Hi,
    I am facing a error Applet Java_Report_Panel Notinited when I want to create or edit a Web Intelligence report.
    The Current version of BO is XIR2.
    The version of Java installed on my machine is 1.6.0.
    Whenever, I try to create or modify a new report through Infoview, I get a blank Page and at the bottom of the Infoview, it displays
    Java Report Panel Notinited.
    This was working fine till yesterday. There were no changes or updates done on the machine.
    Just for reference, the reports work fine, when I use the other panels such as the Query-HTML and HTML Report Panel.
    I had enabled all the required options in the Internet Explorer. but still, I face the Issue.
    Let me know what has to be done in resolving the same.

    bouser39:

    Are you absolutely sure about no changes applied?  I.e. you solely are the administrator, and you have sole access to this server in regards to administration, loading patches, or other configurations?  The "no init" I ran into a couple of years back and the cause was our web admin wanted to make a shorter URL appear in the address bar (something like ACME.com/BO) versus ACME.com/businessobjects/enterprise115/infoview, so he built a "virtual" web folder and had it say "BO".  Well, everything worked fine in Infoview, logging in, running reports, etc, etc, however, after loading a particular service pack, and then when we went to build a new web intelligence document the whole house of cards came toppling down.  Long story short, we had to forego the "BO" short name and revert back to the long URL, as ugly as it appeared, the previous method of "BO" was not longer applicable with the new "java bridge" that Business Objects had implemented with their new service pack.  So, perhaps someone tried to make things more efficient for you, but in the long run actually broke a few things along the way....

    Hi,
    If you are using Ep 6.0 Sp 15 then you have to deploy the BIKIT for Sp 13 on the portal using SDM.
    This will solve Your  problem.

  • Getting status as ERROR while instantiating Business Object in work flow?

    Hi,
    Getting status as ERROR while instantiating Business Object in work flow.
    How to rectify it.
    Tahnks in Advance.
    Moderator message: please have a look at the dedicated Workflow forum on SCN.
    Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Jan 19, 2012

    Hi,
    Go to SWDD and create a new workflow. This workflow will have two steps. This is just for test purpose so we are not going to define any triggering event etc.  First step will instantiate (creating a runtime object) a business object and second step will use that runtime object to execute one of its method. We know that to instantiate any BO we need the object key to be passed. Key uniquely identifies a runtime instance of Business Object (henceforth we will refer it as BO or business object interchangeably).
    use Business Object SYSTEM and method GENERICINSTANTIATE to instantiate any Business Object in workflow

  • Runtime error Object Required - Captivate 5

    Hi,
    Wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and found any solution.
    I have created .swf using Captivate 5 and when I upload them to our learning environment (Learning Pool), the flash plays through to the end fine but clicking on next/menu (within the learning environment) I get Runtime Error, Line 52 Object Required.
    Is there any publishing setting or anything that anyone has come across to make the swf work?  (I have a call logged with our environment provider but obviously they don't support captivate so...)
    Regards
    Annabel

    Are you uploading the Captivate content as a SCORM package to your LMS or are you just uploading the SWF?

  • Objects Runtime Error -- Missing Right Parenthesis

    I am getting a RUNTIME error when using objects "Missing right parenthesis". The same script runs in Oracle 8i but will not run in the newly installed oracle8 enterprise edition. Oracle closed the support track saying they no longer support this version of Oracle. Unfortunately we have a client that we support and must match their environment. Does anyone know what might be missing or wrong with our environment?
    This is the code and error:
    declare

    begin
    insert into t select * from TABLE ( CAST ( l_users as gl_JoinType ) );

  • Changing the Data source in Business Objects XI

    Hi,
      Is it possible to change the data source(not universe) in runtime to generate business objects reports. I am using BOXI 3.1.
    Below is the code I am using to change the universe in runtime. I would like to change this so that i can change the data source instead of changing the universe. My intention is to generate report from multipple database using same universe. Right now I am using multipple universes connected to multiple datasources to achieve this. I am using Report Engine SDK(Java).
               if("Webi".equals(mDocKind))
                   // Added for multiple database support
                   DataProviders dataProvs = documentInstance.getDataProviders();
                try{
                    //To support multiple queries in BO reports
                 for(int count=0;count<dataProvs.getCount(); count++){
                   DataProvider dp=dataProvs.getItem(count);
                   DataSource ds= dp.getDataSource();
                   infoUniverseObjects = getUniverseObject(infoStore,NewUniverseName);
                   infoUniverseObject = (IInfoObject)infoUniverseObjects.get(0);
                   String newDsCuid = infoUniverseObject.getCUID();
                   dataProvs.changeDataSource(ds.getID(), "UnivCUID=" + newDsCuid, true);
                   if(dataProvs.mustFillChangeDataSourceMapping())
                        // Re-map data source to target Universe objects
                        ChangeDataSourceMapping mapping = dataProvs.getChangeDataSourceMapping();
                        ChangeDataSourceObjectMapping[] maps = mapping.getAllMappings();
                        dataProvs.setChangeDataSourceMapping();
                    }//for dataProvs.getCount()
                }catch(Exception e)
                      mLogger.info("BOReportObject","createReport","Inside multiple data providers loop"+e.getMessage());
    Thanks in advance

    Edited by: Shameertaj on May 20, 2009 3:08 AM

    Hi Shameer,
    I think this is only possible with the Universe Designer SDK (which is only available in COM).
    Please kindly refer to the API reference for the Universe Designer SDK for more details:
    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/bodessdk.chm
    Also, please note that changing the universe connection when viewing a document on-demand is not recommended because this could lead to possible issues.
    For example:
    Two users trying to view documents that uses the same universe at approximately the same time.
    But user A wants to use connection X and user B wants to use connection Y.
    This could lead to an error while openning the document or while refreshing/retrieving the the data.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Dan
