Runtime Error in Acrobat X Pro

After installing Acrobat X Pro on my Windows 7 based PC, when I tried to open the program, received the following message:
An internal error has occurred.
After clicking "OK," the following message appeared:
Runtime Error!

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat X Pro 3 times and get the same error.
Please help!

  • Error 1324 Acrobat XI Pro

I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat version XI Pro after using a trial version. (I am using Windows 7 Professional on my PC) and now that there was an update (that continues to fail), I get a message saying "Error 1324. The path my documents or the volume is invalid. Please reenter it again." I have no idea what to do to fix this - "reenter it" where?. I am also having problems with Acrobat crashing my Outlook. I think the update may fix this problem but so far every time my computer tries to update Acrobat, it fails. Please help.

Yes – but how does one find or get to the Windows registry on the computer,
and what exactly am I typing in the windows registry when I find it? The
path to where the My Documents folder is on my computer? Or where the
    program files are?
I am sorry to be asking such rudimentary questions – but I really do not
    know.

  • Runtime Error on Acrobat.exe.

I am using Acrobat Professional version 8 on XP SP3.  It had always worked in the past but now, after opening, I get a Runtime error when trying to make a new PDF.
    Event Viewer gives:
"Faulting application acrobat.exe, version 8.1.0.137, faulting module adobeupdater.dll, version 5.0.0.316, fault address 0x000475a3."
I have run the Repair in the installer from the original distribution disk to no effect.  This was after a system reboot and with nothing else started.  The system runs Trend for security, which had not fully started either when I tried to re-run the program.  I jave also run repair from the Help menu in the application itself, with a reboot afterward.  There have been no significant changes made to the system, except possibly automatic updates, since it was working fine.  It even crashes when I try to get the versionn number form the Help-About menu selection.

I would suggest going to Help>Repair. Then doing Help>Update to get the updates current. Hopefully that will resolve the problem. When you do a repair from the original CD, you may lose updates.

  • Unknown Error Message/Acrobat XL Pro

I keep getting an "encountered unknown error" message when trying to open and edit existing PDF files in the trial version of Acrobat XL Pro.  Any suggestions?

Sorry, you have got to the wrong forum.  I suggest you check the options and repost elsewhere.

  • Error starting Acrobat X Pro: ...You need to deactivate another computer within 32767 days to use

The serial number xxxxxxx...  is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. You need to deactivate another computer within 32767 days to use this product.
Installed CS6 Design Std (which included Acro X Pro) from DVD.  All the apps work except for Acrobat, which gives the above error.  The s/n in the error is different from the s/n used for installing Design Std.  Per support, fully uninstalled Design Std and any other Acrobat related s/w, then ran a "cleaner" that they provided.  Reinstalled CS6 Design Std from DVD ... same problem.  Already wasted over 4 hours on Adobe support chat.
    Thanks.

This suggestion from Adobe Tech Support did NOT work either...
Thank you for contacting Adobe Technical Support.
I understand that you are unable to activate Acrobat X Pro.
From the error message it seems like Acrobat is taking the standalone serial number and not from the suite.
Have you tried uninstalling only Acrobat and reinstall it from the CS6 suite? If not, then please perform uninstall Acrobat and reinstall it as trial.
Once the reinstallation is completed, first launch a product from CS6 like Photoshop and then launch Acrobat X and check if it works.

  • Error downloading Acrobat X Pro

I have acrobat XI standard.  When I tried to download acrobat X pro, I got the following error message during installation: Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed.  Setup will now terminate.  How do I get x pro to run?  I need to be able to redact documents.

You are getting this message since Acrobat Standard is of higher version. If you want to install Acrobat X Pro on your machine then you have to uninstall Acrobat Standar XI first, and then only you will be able to install Acrobat X Pro.

  • Help with installation error 1335 -- Acrobat XI Pro

This weekend I've attempted to install a purchased copy of Acrobat XI Pro to a machine running Windows XP SP3. Each time I received the error "error 1335 Data1.cab file is corrupt...". This happened 3 times, including with the anti-virus and firewall software turned off. This morning however, the same disk installed on a machine running Windows 7. Is there any way to work around this error on the XP machine (we've purchased additional licenses from Univ. of Oklahoma IT Store)?

What would you be looking to download?  You can download Acrobat XI Pro as a trial from the product section of the Adobe site if that is what you mean.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro.html
You can also download it directly (no download assistant) from the page linked below as long as you follow the Very Important Instructions detailed on that page:

    Dear Amish,
I generated the msi.log file as you lined out.
It is with 16kB rather long, so I just have posted the last couple of MSI (C) messages.
Let me know if there is a way to upload the complete file if you are interested.
Of course, A-IX does not start, same problem as before despite of the Installer
coming back as Installation finished successfully.
So far no word from the Adobe Tier 2 team.

  • Intall Error - Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Mac OSX (10.8.4) Mountain Lion

    Hi,
I cannot install Adobe Acrobat X Pro on my Mac running Mountain Lion. The install file is through my university. The Installer runs like normal but end with the following screen:
I can send the lntall log if necessary. I have turned off Gatekeeper so it cannot be that. What is wrong??
    Marius

Thanks for your response. However, I do not have any other version of Adobe Acrobat installed. I even tried to remove Adobe Reader, but same response. The only other Adobe product I have installed is Adobe Air, but that should not have any effect.
    Any other tips?

  • Error 1606, Acrobat X Pro - cannot update, uninstall, or fix install

I installed X Pro on a Win7 machine.  I updated the program to 10.0.1 when the update came out in February.  About 2 weeks later, SP1 for Win7 was released and I installed it.  I don't know if SP1 is causing a problem, but I have not been able to install the 10.0.2 or 10.0.3 updates, either manually or with the Acrobat Updater.
I have used the Microsoft Fix-It Wizard and done the manual fixes as noted in their Error 1606 Knowledge Base article.
I would like to uninstall and reinstall X Pro, but I can't even do that due to the Error 1606 message.
I have had some help and advice in this forum previously, but none of the suggestions have helped (registry tweaks).
    Has ANYONE solved this problem??
    TIA,
    Ira

Thanks for your help. The problem cannot be resolved according to your suggestiones. My Windows 7 is in Traditional Chinese. I still have no ideas for resolving these two errors.
