Runtime error message

I am having trouble installing the latest Itunes update, recieved Runtime error R6034 and also Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. Please help as I no longer have Itunes.

Thank you for replying Bifocals.  I have two problems:
As I understand it a "Folder" (meaning the "Connectors" folder) is different than a "File".  As I look in the "MS Outlook Connector" folder as directed there are no Folders inside that folder, just files.  However, the described File (ilxolkCompanion.fil) IS is the MS Outlook Connector folder.
In Vista I am operating inside my own desktop (other family members have their own personalized desktops).  As such, the cmd prompt takes me NOT to a "C:\" prompt, but to a prompt that reads "C:\Users\Dad>".  It will not let me get to the C prompt and do the navigation described.
Sorry to be so Computer illiterate.  I'm a member of the "just barely computer savy" generation.....
Thank you!
One more thing....  Is it not possible to just "Click and drag" the file icon in Windows Explorer to the desired folder??  Why does it have to be done in an MS Dos prompt format??

    Just did the iTunes update that iTunes said was available, now iTunes won't open.  I just keep getting a Runtime Error message.

    Is anyone else having this problem?
    I tried to re-install and got the following message:  iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 1114)
    Does this mean I have now lost everything?

    I just had the same error:
    R6034
    An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.  Please contact the apps support team for more info.
    I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says.  I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.
    Good luck!

  • Persistent but Inconsistent iTunes Runtime Error Message...

    A while ago, I started getting a runtime error message when I'd open iTunes.
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe
    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way."
    The odd thing is sometimes it doesn't happen. Or, if it does, I found by opening the application a few times I'd be able to get back into iTunes without the error message popping up.
    I am running Windows XP with service pack 2 which is up to date.
    Additionally, I have Norton System Works which scans the hard drive once a week and cleans up files.
    Is there a simple and painless way I solve this problem?
    Can anyone help?

  • How do I resolve the "Mozilla cannot find runtime" error message when I try to start Firefox?

    Mozilla Firefox updated to version 36.0. When I click on the Firefox icon to open it I receive the message: "Mozilla cannot find runtime" I receive the same message if I try to open Firefox by selecting "firefox.exe" from within the Program Files. I subsequently uninstall Mozilla Firefox and reinstall it. It will open and run normally right after the re-installation. Then if I close the program and try to re-open it again, I get the same "Mozilla cannot find runtime" error message.
    The only way I can get Firefox to open is if I uninstall and re-install it every time I want to open it after the initial re-installation.

    Hi Adriel,
    The "Mozilla cannot find runtime" problem has returned. It occurs in two situations:
    1. When Firefox tries to download updates using "updater.exe" (version 36.0.0.5531), which causes my "Norton Internet Security" program to notify me with the message: "Auto-Protect has removed security risk Suspicious.Cloud.9.B" This message is shown every time "updater.exe" activates.
    </blockquote>
    I also have experienced this during several upgrades, not just the latest. (I am using Windows XP and Norton Security Suite.) Norton identifies c:\program files\mozilla firefox\updated\xul.dll with the Suspicious.Cloud.9.B virus and removes the file. I can set the Norton installation to accept xul.dll but it would make more sense for a Mozilla expert to contact Norton and work out a permanent solution, for all who are facing this problem.

    A recent update download upset my entire itunes program. Unable to use to sync iphone, ipad, etc nor run any other updates.  Get runtime error message, Error 7 (windows error 1114)  etc...and contact app support team.  Says itunes not installed correctly, pls reinstall. tried to no avail.

    First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:

  • Runtime Error Messages

    In CS3 when I hit Browse I am kept from entering Bridge by a runtime error message.  How do I correct for this?

    My advise to you is checking Post-xxx triggers. Maybe there are some settings of values there. I had the same problem in my form with tabpages. I had to change Post-Record trigger:
    BEGIN
    **** this was added
    IF :SYSTEM.Record_Status='INSERT' THEN
    settings
    END IF;
    END;
    Without this testing " IF :SYSTEM.Record_Status='INSERT' THEN
    " though I had done nothing messages were the same as yours. Forms created a new record when navigating to new block on the second tabpage ...
    I hope this will help you

  • Java SE 6 runtime error message

    My system keeps generating an error message:
    "To open “java,” you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?"
    How can I discover what is causing this?  I see (from another discussion) that a Facebook Video Chat file can be cause this message - I don't use Facebook on this system, so that's not the fix here.
    Should I install and be done with it?
    Thanks

    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    find /[AL]* -type d -name *.app -prune -exec sh -c 'ls -R "$1" | grep -q \.jar\$' {} {} \; -print0 2> /dev/null | xargs -0 basename -s .app | open -f -a TextEdit
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
    The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
    A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.

  • I am getting a runtime error message that won't allow itunes to open when I plug in my ipod.  Any suggestions?? I already rebooted my computer.  It worked fine yesterday.

    I am getting a run time error message that I've never seen before, it won't allow me to connect my ipod touch with windows.  It says:  An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
    I have no idea what this means but it was working fine yesterday when I connected it.
    I have rebooted my computer and nothing has been fixed.

    Did you do this:

  • Runtime Error message when trying to download 7.2

    Can somebody please help me?
    Whenever I go into iTunes now, it asks me if I would like to download iTunes 7.2. I say yes and this message pops up:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
    Program: iTunes
    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    Then I hit OK and iTunes closes. This happened also when I tried to download 7.1, and I ended up downloading it from the site myself. I just really want to know what to do, because it has been doing weird things with my library and maybe that has something to do with it.

    Hello debyani,
    I think some error occurred with the downloaded files. You should try to download it again and then try to Install it and before that please go through the link below it may help you.

    My Adobe Elements 10 was JUST working 15 min ago, and now when I try to launch it I get this error message: "Runtime Error!" "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."   I have re-started my computer, and have checked for updates but don't see any recent ones. What do I need to do here? The first thing to do when behavior suddenly changes like this is to reset the application preferences. Simply rename the preference file listed here and then retry: Preference file locations | Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements

  • M/S Visual C++ runtime error message when trying to start iTunes

    I deleted the Yahoo toolbar from Internet Explorer via the add/remove programs function. Now whenever I try to start iTunes, I get a Windows error message stating
    "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\iTunes/iTunes.exe
    This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."
    I tried restarting the computer- then reinstalled the latest version of iTunes, all to no avail. Still unable to start iTunes, same Windows error message. Help!
    Thanks in advance-

    Do you have any iTunes plug-ins installed in
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins
    Take them out of the folder and try iTunes again.
    Hi, MacMuse-
    Thanks for replying. I checked, that folder is
    blank/there are no plugins. Another thing- I
    mentioned I had removed the Yahoo Toolbar- what I
    didn't mention was that I installed the Google
    toolbar in its place. I removed that and restarted
    the computer once again, still no joy.
    Wes
    I'm getting the same issue; no plugins installed.
    I started having this problem about two weeks ago with iTunes 7.2, and tried each of:
    * Updating to 7.3: worked for several days, then back to same thing
    * Changing Quicktime settings to "safe mode" as described in the "unknown error" article
    * Uninstalling Google toolbar
    * Uninstalling Google desktop
    Still no luck.
