RUNTIME ERROR ON MEDIA MANAGER
HAS ANYONE FIGURED A WAY AROUND THIS MEDIA MANAGER SO I CAN ACTUALLY USE THIS FEATURE. I HAVE FOLDERS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ORGANIZE ON MY PHONE. THE MEDIA MANAGER WORKED FOR A FEW WEEKS BUT NOW ALL I GET IS A RUNTIME ERROR AND THE COMPUTER DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THAT MY PHONE IS ATTACHED FOR THIS FEATURE.
hello,
you don't need the media manager to create & modify folders. Just connect through regular USB.

Runtime Error in Import Manager
Hello,
when I try to import data using Import Manager it brakes up showing the message "Runtime Error! ....path to application... R6025 - pure virtual function call".
I'm running MDM 5.5 SP02 Release 5.5.24.06 and also tried to use the Import Manager on another computer but the same mistake happened.
Can someone help me ??
Greets,
DanielI had this problem a few times in the last 5 months. A few tips that solved:
a) To rule out that it does not have anything to do with server, I usually close my applications, stop and restart the server. Sometimes, I had to reboot the server.
b) Then, I make sure that for the table I am loading, display fields are flagged accurately; table level key mapping setting is turned on.
c) In the import manager itself, depnding on my display field(s), that remote key is mapped to the display field or compound key of the display fields (in case of more than 1).
d) If I am loading a multi-valued field, right click on the multivalued field in the destination pane, after mapping, and set the multi-valued update option.
e) If it is qualified table load, again, right click and set qualified update option on the field in the destination pabe.
Hope this helps. Good luck! -
Runtime Error with Desktop Manager Sync
When configuring the syncing options for my Blackberry 8800 World Edition in Desktop Manager 5.0 on Vista Business, I encounter the error "A session of that type has not been started." This occurs when attempting to configure any of the sync applications with MS Outlook 2007. I really need to be able to sync my Blackberry with my computer, as my contact list changes from both directions. Thank you very much, I hope someone has an answer!

Runtime Error when trying to connect with Media manager
Whenever I try to connect to the Media manager with Blackberry Desktop manager, I get "Runtime Error"!
It says: "Program:C:\Program Files\Roxio\MediaManager 9\MediaManager9.exe" Then it says "This application has requested the Runtime to termnate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I seached and learned it might be that roxio is not running and to enable it going through the Start menu "msconfig".....it shows roxio "stopped" but also enabled.
Help! What next? This didn't begin happening until I followed a prompt telling me to update!dear JLK, I must agree with herb: 'google is your friend'.
To give you a few pointers:
- The nmap output shows no 3389/tcp open, which means you will not be able to use the terminal server on that host, even if it where active.
- Check if the windows host you are trying to reach has a terminal server running (which is the windows server component which is responsible for serving remote desktop connectons), or has windows desktop sharing enabled (which is the windows client/non server variant responsible for serving remote desktop connections)
- Check if the windows host your are trying to reach has a firewall of some sort (the windows embedded one, or a 3rd party one) enabled.
- Also, can other machines use remote desktop on that machine? -
When attempting to access the pictures on my 8130 through desktop manager v. 4.3, Media Manager, as I always do, I am getting a new error and it isn't allowing me to access the contents of my device. I am using XP. This is what the error window says:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
X Runtime Error!
Program: C:\program Files\Roxio\Media Manager 9\Mediamanager9.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.
OK BUTTON"
When you close that window another pops up that says:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
X Runtime Error!
Program: C:\program Files\Roxio\Media Manager 9\Mediamanager9.exe
R6025
- pure virtual function call.
OK BUTTON"
Roxi Media Manager is integrated with Desktop Manager and I don't know how exactly to proceed. Anyone that may be able to point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate.
Message Edited by ffejnosral on 06-09-2008 01:55 PMI found a solution that has worked for me. I ran the install (450_b016_english.exe) and followed the prompts to modify the installation (I planned on removing Roxio/MM9 component). But before I did that, I ticked to install the 'certificate synchronisation' (copyright/private keys stuff I think) feature just to see what would happen. It went through the install, restarted the PC, and hey presto! all working. It did ask for a password to be set presumably for the synch certs thing to work.
I didn't like that so then I decided to rerun the install and untick/remove the certifictae thing (being curious to see if I would be back to MM9 errors), followed the prompts, restarted the PC and hey presto! still working.
This suggests that in my case MM9 couldn't work because of an essential but missing setting, component, registry change, or such like that is not reversed when Certs are uninstalled.
BTW - I had to use the full OEM installation file because the option from within installed programs in the control panel required the temporary .msi file that is created during installation and is cleaned out once completed.

Hi Maax,
1) As far as the RIM support comments, have you called Rim and opened a ticket and asked for support? Toll free #: 877-255-2377
2) If you didn't call for support, then you came here to the RIM supported
user to user site. Complete documentation, knowledgebase and thousands of resolved problems
provided at the simple cost of a login, and basic research. Instead of research and constructive
posts, you elect to vent?
3) Google search provided these links in about 15 minutes. Lack of MAAX support.
Hi Dan and welcome to the forums!
These are links for completely cleaning your PC of Roxio Media Creator 9.
They are knowledgebase articles from Roxio. After cleaning you can re-install
if you like, or (JMHO) you can walk away happy.
I much prefer to use the Windows explorer "drag and drop" to manage media.
It's quick, efficient, and without program overhead/problems.

Runtime errors in Roxio Media Manager 9
I am running Desktop Manager 4.5 with my 8330 curve. I am getting runtime error for mediamanager9.exe whenever I try to use it to transfer data over to my 8330. Any ideas to resolve this issue?
Hello,
I do not use Roxio because it is slow and non-reliable software.
I transfer files directly to my device micro-sd card.
Your device with micro-sd card inside can be recognized as a usb-flash drive.
And you can transfer files directly to the device from Windows.

Error Message while trying to open media manager
When I try to open the media manager on the Blackberry Desktop Manager for my Storm, a window opens with the following:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
c:\programfiles\roxio\mediamanager9\mediamanager.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
When I click OK, another window opens up with:
c:\programfiles\roxio\mediamanager9\mediamanager.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call
Does anyone know what is happening here?
Thanks.you need a microsd card and not a sd card. the microsd card is 1/4 size of the SDcard.
after the memory card has been formatted, you can then move the pictures from the internal memory of the Blackberry to the memory card.
And then with a card reader or the blackberry, access your memory card with Windows Explorer.

Roxio Media Manager won't run and get error messge about C+++
Error message says Media Manager has requested Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact suport team. I wrote to Roxio about it and supplied screen shots of the message and their response was to contact RIM. Typical run around. Same problem on a different computer where I had a working version of BB Desktop Manager and then installed the new 4.7 and started to get the same problem. Would seem this is a RIM problem. Anyone else out there that knows anything about this error or how to get past it?

Adobe Media Encoder CS4 runtime error
I am wondering why I am getting a runtime error while
attempting to use Adobe Media Encoder CS4...As soon as I launch
Adobe Media Encoder CS4, it crashes I have installed and
reinstalled Flash a couple time, to see if this corrects the
problem, which it doesn't, and just last week it was working
fine...Does anybody have a ideal what is going on?Don't know if this helps anyone else, bt the runtime errors i have been getting occur when I try to build and burn a blu-ray file. And they happen intermittently. In fact, on this project, I had burned several test blu-rays without difficulty. When I made one minor change on the penultimate version, and tried to burn again, the system crashed with a run time error. Then it crashed 9 more times over the course of the week.
Finally in frustration, I created an interim ISO file in Encore- ie in the build workstream, i selected burn an image file rather than burning a blu-ray disk. After this intermediate step completed, i then did a separate burn in encore but burned from the image file. No snags.
Not sure why but this program has trouble doing a sequence of activities. As it is, I already render and save the file before burning. Now I have another interim step to create an image file before burning.
In my next hardware change, I am going to switch to make Mac and Apple software. Enough of MS Windows and Adobe, the GM and Chrysler of the software industry. Hopefully what my friends tell me is true; that Apple stuff actually works. -

Runtime Errors Raise Exception in Solution Manager
Hi Guru's,
While I try to excute the transaction solman_issue_mgnt in solution manager for issue tracking, runtime errors occurs.
Error analysis
A RAISE statement in the program "CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER============CP" raised the
exception
condition "CNHT_ERROR_PARAMETER".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated.
Could anyone suggest me on this issue.
regards,
GunaHi Juan,
As per the note, everything was fine there. We have SAP_Basis 700 with SP16.
Earlier it was worked fine. Now only we are facing this issue while excuting the t-code solman_issue_mgmt.
regards,
Guna -
Hi All,
In SolMan 7.0 when i am using T-code Solution_Manager->Business process Monitoring tab System is give as give below ABAP DUMP . Please Share your idea to resolve this issue.
Runtime Errors STRING_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE
Except. CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS
Date and Time 24.11.2009 12:16:08
Short text
Illegal access to a string (length too large)
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_CRM_CCKPT_CFS_SERVICE_HTTP=CP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', was not
caught in
procedure "IF_HTTP_EXTENSION~HANDLE_REQUEST" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated
by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the running program "CL_CRM_CCKPT_CFS_SERVICE_HTTP=CP", part of a string was
about to be accessed
with an explicitly specified length.
However, this length (8) exceeded the current length of the string
(5).
This kind of access is illegal.
How to correct the error
Reduce the length with which to access the string.
If the error occurred in your own ABAP program or in an SAP
program you modified, try to remove the error.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"STRING_LENGTH_TOO_LARGE" "CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS"
"CL_CRM_CCKPT_CFS_SERVICE_HTTP=CP" or "CL_CRM_CCKPT_CFS_SERVICE_HTTP=CM004"
"IF_HTTP_EXTENSION~HANDLE_REQUEST"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"IF_HTTP_EXTENSION~HANDLE_REQUEST" "(METHOD)", or its possible occurrence must
be declared in the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
