  • Hotsync.exe Runtime Error R6025 on Windows/XP Treo/650

I'm running Windows/XP Home Edition with Palm Desktop ver 4/1/4 and Hotsync ver 6.0.1. I have a Sprint Treo/650 using Hotsync ver 5.4.0 (on the Treo) I recently activated my SprintPCS email account and I'm using VersaMail ver 3.1B When I Hotsync I get an abort message with this text: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Hotsync.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call" The Hotsync log lists: OK Quick Install; OK Adobe Reader; OK VersaMail; OK Media and then indicates: Protocol Error. Hanheld cancelled synchronization (4405). The handheld shows cancellation of Hotsync because the fatal error is already being displayed on the desktop.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Post relates to: Treo 650 (Sprint)

An easy way to reactivate hotsync is to go to Program Files -> Palm -> Hotsync.exe.   Create a Hotsync.exe shortcut on your desktop. Click the shortcut and wait for 10 seconds. The hotsync function will come back. May have to do this frequently before fixing the root cause. Spyware software is a possible cause. Check the quarantine folder to see if any "Palm related" files are quarantined. If so, restore them.     Hope this can be helpful.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already done the above and things still aren't working, try opening iTunes in safe mode by holding down CTRL+SHIFT as you launch iTunes, then going into Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. If you close iTunes and reopen you may find that it now behaves normally.

  • TS1717 when searching in Itunes store receive error runtime error r6025

When trying to search for music in Itunes Store i receive "Runtime Error R6025" Windows tries to repair and ends up shutting down Itunes.

I had the same problem since I updated Itunes. I found a solution that worked for me from a previous post from 2007 (when people who updated to Itunes 7 had the same problem). Apparently you need to find which of your current programs is incompatible with itunes. Here's the link:

Hope this works for you too.

  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
I finally figured the solution for this.
What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.

  • Runtime error R6025 when closing adobe captivate 6 or 7

Everytime I close Captivate on a system running Win 8.1 (did it with previous version of Windows, too), I would get this runtime error R6025 pure virtual function.  Any resolujtions to this error would be appreciated.

    Hi there,
    Welcome to Adobe Community.
This could be because of corrupt preferences.
We could try to recreate the preferences, however it will delete your customizations in the workspace. But we will not completely delete the preferences folder so we can get it back.
In order to recreate the preferences, please do the following.
    Save your Project.
    Close Captivate
    Windows 8: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Rename the Captivate 7 folder to anything.
Launch Captivate and test your project.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks!

  • Tecra S5-14R: Toshiba Flash Cards stops working: Runtime Error R6025

    Hi all.
    Hardware: Toshiba Tecra S5-14R
I have a problem with Toshiba Flash Cards software.
When it starts I've received an error "R6025 - pure virtual function call", and then the microsoft alert that Toshiba Flash Cards software stopped working
I'm using Windows Vista Business 32 bit OS, and I've downloaded new version of Toshiba Flash Cards software (v.2.00.05), but it doesn't solve the problem.
    Could somebody help?

    Hi
It seems that this error is known to the Microsoft support people and therefore they have published a knowledge base article.
Such error appears also if you would run the software Microsoft Money.
Please try the steps described here:
[Runtime Error: "R6025 -Pure virtual function call"|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/240437]
    I would recommend doing this:
    1. Disable the Flash cards
    2. Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    3. At the command prompt, type the following lines one at a time, and then press ENTER after each line:
    - regsvr32 softpub.dll
    - regsvr32 wintrust.dll
    - regsvr32 initpki.dll
    - regsvr32 dssenh.dll
    - regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
    - regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
    - regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
    - regsvr32 sccbase.dll
    - regsvr32 slbcsp.dll
    4. Enable the Flash Card Utility again

  • ILL-CS2 runtime error R6025

I wrote a script that from time to time produces a "runtime error R6025
    - pure virtual function call" for no apparant reason. I've noticed that when I run the script through the debugger this error doesn't occur, but it does when I let it run on it's own. I've also checked online and read what information I could about this C++ error, but I can't seem to solve this issue.
Does anyone have any experience with this runtime error, or has any ideas on how to solve it?

    Hi Nate,
Thanks for the tip. I was finally able to write the script I wanted using VBasic, and was also able to write a more simplified version with JScript, without encountering the dreaded R6025 error (although basically the script does exactly the same)...
I will consider trying it using CS3 as well.

  • I try to search in itunes store and keep getting a runtime error R6025 - help!

I keep trying to search for music in the itunes store and I get runtime error R6025 then itunes shuts down.  Help!

    Link for the previous fix:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292
Just an update that I did get the error once after the fix but now seems to have gone away completely. All I did after the error recurred was to add a new desktop shortcut and run as administrator. I then deleted the shortcut and went back to my usual quick access icon in the taskbar.
    Hope this helps.

Still getting Runtime Error R6025 when trying to browse iTunes store. So far iTunes support has been no help. Has anyone solved this problem?

Post this in the iTunes Store forum since it has nothing to do with your iPod nano.

Hi i had that too, dont know why. all i did to fix it was go into control panel, then uninstall programs, then found Itunes on the list. i clicked to uninstall and it then gives you a choice, to uninstall or to change, or to repair. i chose repair and it fired up itunes and repaired it, that was that and it works fine now, try it, good luck.
