Russian Fonts not supported in Primavera

Hi all,
I could not able to enter any of the Russian fonts/symbol in Activities and field type as text, like the below texts are displayed '?' in primavera P6 V7.Please sort out this issue.

It displays correctly in Arial CYR when I open the FM files, and I am using it in a paragraph format called "Footer," in which the font is set to Arial CYR, 8 pt. It displayed correctly when I initially opened the file, but I had adjusted some of the paragraph formats in one of the other FM files in the book, and when I imported them into the second file, the characters no longer displayed correctly, although they still appear as Cyrillic characters in the original FM file from which I imported the formats.
This also occurs with Chinese, Korean, and Central European fonts. I've also noticed the problem with some of my cross-references and some of my other paragraph formats. It's very odd, because one format will display correctly, while immediately below, another format will be scrambled.

CR XI R2, Crystal Report Viewer Opentype Font not supported

For my reporting I selected an OpenType Font. But with my crystal version it doesnu2019t work. My Crystal version is
CR XI R2 Servicepack 3.
In the Crystal Report designer, I can select the OpenType Font but with the viewer it doesn't work. I saw in the release notes (2008 and XI) that only TrueType und Postscript fonts are supported.
Can you tell me, in wich version that OpenType Font will be supported?

I find it hard to believe Crystal doesn't support OpenType fonts as I am told by my design group that OpenType fonts are a "superior, widely-supported format". I am finding this limitation very frustrating as my organization has a specific set of OpenType fonts that we are expected to use for branding purposes, but I can't use them in my reports! And I can't find TrueType versions of the fonts, so I am forced to use other fonts and end up with a very different end product.
Please reconsider!

Wingdings font not supported in TextLayoutFramework

      I am using textLayout.swc in flex 3 Bulider (SDK3.4Ver)
     when i write code like :-
     SpanElement.fontFamily = "Wingdings";
     no changes in font reflected, it gives default font i.e. Times New Roman.
     So wingdings fontFamily not supported by textLayout Framework.
     If anybody know how wingdings font is used in textLayout, please reply.
     its urgent.

It was a great help that you provide for displaying Wingdings font family. I could able to display the text in TLF with Wingdings font. But whenever there is a carriage return or new line character or tab present in the text, the character is displayed with a special character as highlighted in the following image. It will be great if you provide some help to remove this special character while displaying the Wingdings font family.

Russian Font not Displaying

Yes, I know that my version is painfully outdated, but it's
what I have to work with. I have Russian text which displays fine
in the browser, but when the file is opened in DW, the text turns
to random characters. I tried changing the Document Encoding in the
Page Properties with no success.

there's a character that looks like an "h" with a cross that I'm pretty sure is not in the cyrillic alphabet.
But it is: ћЋ U+045B and U+40B are used in Serbian.

But I think that page is designed for a non-standard encoding anyway, "Academic Russian". You would need to download a special font to get correct results, and there is no guarantee such a font will work in Safari and other OS X apps because they are designed to use Unicode fonts, with other standard encodings being translated into that for display. If it doesn't work in Safari, sometimes you can make such custom fonts work in FireFox or Opera.

PDF text (math) is garbled -- some fonts not supported?

I noticed that some PDFs are not displayed properly under iOS, though they look fine on the mac side. Take this for example, and look for the displayed equations: http://elsa.berkeley.edu/~saez/landais-michaillat-saezFeb11UI.pdf
Please let me know if I could fix this (this is an OS issue, no app seems to have its own PDF engine -- though my priority is to use it with Papers, not Safari, Mail or iBooks). Or, more likely, Apple, please take note and fix this in the next bugfix update of iOS.

Are you saying the font won't show up in Preview along?
What about other applications, such as TextEdit, does it show up there?
Are the fonts deselected in your Font Book?

A6000 - Font not supporting Indic languages like Tamil

A6000 - If I open a webpage which is at tamil unicode, it is rendered with plentry of junk characters. It is the case with all the browsers, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, UC Browser. Same issue on my friend's A6000. So it is confirmed, it is not a browser issue. I checked the same webpages on motorola and micromax mobiles. They are rendering perfect. Lenovo has to fix the issue.

i don't have any solution at this point of time.. will post if i find one....
but i don't seem to have issue in reading the tamil pages with the current issue since only particular set of characters are having issue and mind can easily get adjusted to it

How to add Russian font to PRS-600?

The Reader does support PDF documents so you can read a PDF with your preferred language, however at this stage Russian is not supported for text files.

Russian does not perfectly be supported by font HELVE in smartform.

We are now developing Russian report in smartform in solution manager 7.01. We use font HELVE for the smartform, however, it seems font HELVE does not perfectly support Russian as some text on the printed pdf get overlapped. Could some one help?

Hi Clark,
For Russian characters you should use Russian fonts like HELVCYR. TIMECYR or COURCYR in the sapscript or smartform. You also need to ensure that the correct language key is used. Also for PDF conversion you need to upload true type fonts that support the Russian characters un der font families HELVCYR, TIMECYR and COURCYR as described in SAP note #322998.

Firefox 3.6.3 is not supported by the Google Font API

I have Firefox 3.6.3 on my Macbook, but is only detected as 3.0.1on this form. When I link to the Google font website, it says, "We're sorry, but your browser is not supported by the Google Font API. To browse the fonts in the Google font directory please switch to a more modern browser." So I have to use Safari to get to the page.

Some adobe font OpenType are not supported by dot net framwork 2

We have problem that some adobe' fonts (opentype) are not supported by dot net framework 2.0 .
we have font Adobe Arabic it is installed correctly into font folder as well as appearing in other application like microsoft word .
but is not appearing from Microsoft visual studio NET Evenrionment and also not appearing when start designing dot net window form , which display only the fonts supported by DOT NET framework 2.0

But I suspect this is likely one of those things for which you will always have to use a full computer rather than a iPad.

This error is "Only truetype fonts are supports. This is not truetype font" .This form used Arial font. And only one computer meet this error. In this computer, I installed all of Arial - .... font. I don't know why?

Which font you have selected in General Setting.
Please change Font from below Path:
Administration >>>> System Initialization >>>> General Setting >>>> Font and Background
Change it to Arial in Font.
After Changing Font From General Setting and Restart SAP and then Try.
