How does one write in Russian on Palm Pre?

Hello!
Well the Sprint Palm Pre only supports English/Spanish, virtually just the Latin alphabet system. It will not do the others like cyrillic (Russian). Since the SDK is out now, you could wait for a possible 3rd-party app that incorperates other languages but changing the actuall keyboard most likely will not happen for the North American devices.

Keyboard writing in symbols only

A few days ago my one-year-old Macbook Pro started acting very strangely. None of the keys work as they should except the middle row (a through l). They write in strange symbols instead. In Firefox and in Safari, if I click on a link it opens the downloads window and downloads the html file. When I reboot my computer a Macintosh HD icon appears with an arrow, which never happened before. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I can't tell if it's a problem with the keyboard or if there's something going on with the hard drive.

I agree with eew. It has nothing to do with verifying your drive, though that's worth looking at once in a while.
Sounds like your option key is stuck down. If it isn't physically stuck down then there's something wrong with the keyboard.
Open System Preferences. Go into Language and Text. Go to Input Sources. Check the box to show the Keyboard Viewer. If this shows that an option key is being 'held down', then that's your problem.
It isn't your operating system or software, because EFI (firmware) is reacting as well (boot menu comes up when you first power on, this is accessed normally by holding Option).

Possessed Imac.

My Imac suddenly presses the arrow keys by itself.
I tried turning off the bluetooth keyboard and disconnecting the internet but doesnt work.
Everytime i click on a bookmark tab on safari it downloads a html file. pls help!!!

maybe the keyboards key switch is damaged and stuck on pressed down ?
if you can then I would try to test by trying to borrow a keyboard from a friend or using any usb keyboard really need not be a mac keyboard writing this on my microsoft nautral keyboard which is what i use for my imac

Assuming that your Caps Lock is not on, try reseting the type tool - reset is towards bottom right.

Azerty for sony xperia z1

Dear,
I just bought a sony z1 compact and as Im a Belgian I use Azerty. I couldn't figure out how to change the keyboard into azerty instead of qwerty.
Is this possible and how should I do it?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
What you can do is to enable French in the keyboard under Settings -> Language & input -> Xperia keyboard -> Writing languages. With french enabled you can select AZERTY and then you can also enable dutch.

It asks for drivers In the middle of Win7 installation?

Using a White MacBook (the one that just before Polycarbonate edition) 10.6.2 OS X Boot Camp, every software is up to date, made sure of it.
I burn my Windows 7 Pro (ISO image, downloaded from MSDN's directly), finished partitioning in Boot Camp, went to the Win installation, picked up the right setup from timing and keyboard writing... Next thing it asks to locate the drivers, where the heck I'm supposed to find them now? I figured I should eject the Win disc now and insert one of the discs that came with the MB, I can't eject a thing, it just doesn't eject.
I'm stuck as you can see and I don't know how to fix this.

And no, I can't skip it and deal with it later, its either install the drivers of somehow or just drop the whole installation.

Russian Keyboard/Language on US-purchased Macbook.

Hi Everyone!
I am purchasing a new aluminum Macbook and have a couple of questions. I'm learning Russian and want to know if I can purchase a US-purchased Macbook with a Russian keyboard installed in it? If not, I know that I can choose Russian as a language option and label the US keyboard with stickers or something but I've run into another problem...
When I send emails using the normal keyboard, but having chosen Russian as the language, the emails end up sending a bunch of ????????? in place of what I have written. What is causing that? Can this be corrected?

To answer in the order you presented:
My suggestion for the Russian keyboard would be to buy a keyboard that plugs in via USB. This way, you could label/write the Russian letters on the keyboard and still be able to use your main board for english use. Would probably be more efficient than removing/replacing stickers depending on what you are working on. As for the possibility of buying a Mac with a Russian keyboard already installed, best of luck on your endeavors :P
Second, about the e-mails, the ???? on the receiving side are due to incompatibilities on the reader's platform. The only way this could be corrected is if:
*(A) you are sending to someone else using a latest gen Mac who can convert the code back into actual Russian letters,
*(B) you write your emails using the english keyboard (as in, write Russian words using english letters, i.e: harasho), or
*(C) start writing your e-mails in Adobe Acrobat (or similar program) as .PDF or similar image formats, and then sending them as attachments to e-mails instead of actual text.[/list]

I have searched high and low for a replacement Russian Keyboard for my US bought MBP. Anyone have any ideas. Apple US is no help. Apple Russia won't sell it to me.

Apple does make these, but they are not sold everywhere. Where are you located?
Nobody in these forums represents Apple or any store, so to find out whether you can buy a particular product you will need to contact stores directly yourself. In the US you can sometimes get unusual keyboards by talking to an apple retail store and asking for a special order.

As per the release notes of [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/notes/1.1/ FirefoxOS 1.1] the Russian locale is supported. So, you wouldn't need to add a keyboard separately. Can you please confirm what is the issue you are seeing when you try to select the locale as Russian? Are you not able to view the Russian keyboard?

the German keyboard looks almost exactly like the US one with the exception of the 'Y' and 'Z' keys switched places (giving QWERTZ in the first row)
To my knowledge there is no Russian (kyrillic) version of th keyboard.

Russian language keyboard

Just got a brand new iPod Touch 4G. I need to use the Russian language on it and have setup the keyboard to have access to the russian cyrillic alphabet. The BIG problem is that 2 characters are missing from the cyrillic alphabet. Apple where is the ё and ъ. The first letter transliterates to yoh and the second letter is the hard sign (silent) so I am unable to enter words like ребёнок and объект, child and object in russian. This is unacceptable where is the attention to detail.

For some languages and for some keys if you touch and hold a key, options appear for that key. Have your tried that? You can also suggest changes to Apple by going here:
