RV 120W corrupting email attachements and dropping RDP connections

Hi,
We've put in an RV120W for a client, and since they have had problems with emal attachements (notably PDFs) getting corrupted, ad RDP conenctions to their network being dropped.
I found an article that suggested turning on the Content Filtering, which I have (althought the individual fileters are off as I don't want to block those things), and it may have improved, but still has a problem.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Adam

  • Outlook email drag and drop to sharepoint task list

    We are using using Outlook 2007 (Soon to be switching to 2010) and Sharepoint Server 2010.
    We want to allow email drag and dropping which is accomplished through the folder list view.  However when doing this this it does not take the attachment.
    My question is, is this possible or do we need to develop an add-on for outlook?
    Thanks

    Neither be it SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2007, you can not do it without developing an add-on or writing additional code. Depending on your complexity of SharePoint, it is relatively easy to build an add-on if you only want to drag and drop Outlook email
    to SharePoint folder.
    SharePoint Outlook Integration add on is one of such tool which is functioning well if you have a small number of mails to transfer to SharePoint, but if you drag larger number of Outlook emails to SharePoint, it is quick slow to finish the whole process.
    Good luck.

    Hi there, if there is text in the body of the email it will print automatically when sent to an ePrint email address. The only way to just have the attachment print is for there to be no text in the email body.
    Hope that helps answer your question.

    Receiving error message using current Maverick version: "Adobe Reader could not open '***.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).".  Is fix the same as on previous OS versions?

    Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
    If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
    There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
    If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
    and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
    From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
    Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

    I use a Macbook Pro w/ OS X.  I am unable to open a .pdf file downloaded from the internet, Adobe always shows "@Adobe Reader could not open 'cpd39346.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

  • Receive an email attachment and process it

    Hello all,
    could you please explain me, how can I process an email attachment, that comes into XI? My scenario is follows: I receive a mail with attachment into XI, search in attachment to which email this message should be forward and forward the modified message to receiver.
    I' ve done successful the similar scenario with java mapping, where an incoming IDOC was parsed and mapped to mail message with attachment. Outgoing mail structure was in this case follows:
    <?xml version="1.0"; encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns:Mail xmlns:ns="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">
        <Subject>=?utf-8?Q?Subject?=</Subject>
        <From>"mailSender"&lt;[email protected]&;gt;</From>
        <To>"mailReceiver"&lt;[email protected]&;gt;</To>
        <Content_Type>multipart/mixed; boundary="--AaZz"</Content_Type>
        <Content>----AaZz
            Content-Type: text/plain;         charset=UTF-8
            Content-Disposition: inline
            Confirm with attachment.
            ----AaZz
            Content-Type: application/xml;
            name=Auftrag.xml
            Content-Disposition: attachment;
            filename=confirm.xml
            <?xml  version=&quota;1.0&;quot; encoding="UTF-8>
    </Content></ns:Mail>
    Now I try to repeat this, but I don't get such incoming structure from pipeline. I always see there two payloads: mailMessage and mailAttachment. Could anybody tell me, how have I to configure send channel to get such structure by receiving a mail into xi in xi payload? Is it possible? if no, than how can I handle with attachment of incoming mail message?
    thanks in advance

    Hi Anna !
    Try to do this:
    Send an email to the email account configured in the mail sender adapter, but avoid XI to pick it up. Instead, downloaded with your mail client (webmail or something like outlook). There should be an option to see the mail in RAW format, with all headers and content, sometimes refered as "original message". And try to find the headers related to the attachment, like the ones below as stated in the blog. Maybe in your case the header is a different one and payloadswapbean should be configured differently. And also be sure that your attachment is already in XML, if not, XI will not be able to send it to the integration engine for mapping.
    Regards,
    Matias.

  • Sharepoint (email drag and drop)

    I would be grateful if someone could recommend a good drag and drop email program - we have just tested OnePlaceMail but this does not allow us to copy duplicate emails.  Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully received.

    We are able to
    drag files and folders into SharePoint from file share using a third party tool called PageLight.  It also allowed our end users to
    Save Outlook emails to SharePoint with Metadata
    Duplicate emails could be handled with ease including the file name management and meta data processing

  • CSV email attachment and spaces

    Hello everyone,
    I have been working on making an email attachment in CSV for a client. I have created the file dynamically in a string table. Though, because it is done dynamically, my string table has sometimes, as a fictive example, something like this
    First line has 63 characters,
    Second line has 225 characters
    Third line has 182 characters, etc
    Often, a group of three lines has to be put on one line in the CSV and I added a control return character that works just fine so my problem is not there.
    My problem is the fact that I have lot of blanks in my files when I wouldn't want it to be... Taking the same example:
    First line has 192 blanks,
    Second line has 30 blanks
    Third line has 73 blanks, etc.
    In fact, I have always 255 - X characters = Y Blanks. I understand a string is 255 characters so it's not a question for me to know why 255.
    My question though is this: Is there a way to prevent those blanks to be put in the CSV file? Because I have huge gaps and I know it would mess up the data inserted in it.
    As a complement of informations, I use Module Function 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to create the email with attachment and my CSV is not open by Excel (who places the field correctly) but via notepad to show the data to its raw values. All those gaps need to be removed.
    Thank you very much for your help
    Don't hesitate if you need more infos.
    EDIT: Oh and I tried with CONDENSE WITH NO-GAPS but it's not working either.

    Hi Sylvain,
    Can you check for any special characters in your data. Special characters like ',",!,# do behave in an unwanted way and create problems. Check for the special characters from the point of start of spaces to the next character where the spaces end.
