Hi guys,
i am using the router,rv 120w
can i block device from connected to internet through device name?
for example,the Android Phone wil always has "android" in their device name.How can i block the device which has "android" in their device name from link to internet?

Hi Louis, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. You can´t block any device by the name, however you can block devices using it mac-address. Go Firewall> Access Control>Mac Filtering in this section you can specify the mac address of the devices and block them.

The bottom line is that I'll stay away from apple, because they basically make it so the devices control you, and you don't control the devices. I've even jail broken to try and fix this. I need my USB drives to work as they have many folders. Formatting doesn't work, so it is definetly down to the software and it's restrictions.

The camera connection kit is to be used to connect a camera or an SD card and transfer photos/video. You can't fault them for something that happened to work and doesn't any longer. There are drives like the seagate available if you need access to extra storage

How to prevent itunes from connecting to my IOS devices over wifi

I have a MBP retina that is set to sync (over wifi) with the iOS devices for myself and my wife: 2 ipads, 1 ipad mini and 2 iphones.
When I am launch iTunes in my other Mac - Macbook Air (mid 2010, 13inch, OS X 10.8.2), it will also start to connect the iOS devices - even though I am not using it to sync with my iOS devices.
How to prevent iTunes in my MBA from connecting to all the iOS devices in my house?

I configured all my iOS devices to sync with my MBP Retina (over wifi) - but the problem is that when I am using my MBA, the devices will also automatically connect to the MBA Itunes over wifi when I launch iTunes in the MBA.

I started to do that then it said that this will become their apple I.D or similar and then I thought that will disconnect them from the same iTunes? Did you meet this issues that the remote site (US) AP 1242 always connect to our site(ASIA) WLC 5508 (maybe some DHCP configure caused when troubleshooting, right nowDHCP back to normal. only enable vendor and option 43 for 1262 and 3602, no option 43 for 1242), but now we cannot block these AP1242 to join our site 5508 WLC. even I reset the 1242 AP to default configure from WLC GUI and CLI , but it's still there in a mins.
Since in our site Core SW, Router cannot find these AP mac address, and also those AP not the IP address in the WLC GUI and CLI . SO we don't know where it is? can you pls help?

Well that is how to block APs from joining:). If you know these APs have to join a specific WLC, then create a dhcp option 43 for these APs or temporarily create a DNS entry for these APs to join the WLC it is suppose to. You can't just block these APs from joining if you have mo ility between the WLCs and or if your using option 43 and or DNS that helps these APs join the WLC. So now what your stuck with is making these join the right WLC. When you do that, then remove all your option 43 from dhcp and disable the DNS so none of the APs will be able to join the wrong WLC.

I don't know who/what Indira Budiman is, but you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If it's an app then does it allow you to make in-app purchases within it ? If it does then you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions on your device.

Macbook loses wifi, prevents other devices from connecting too.

Hi guys
I have a strange problem whereby my macbook seems to lose its wifi connection, and prevent all other devices from connecting to wi fi either.
its very odd as the router still shows up in available networks with full signal, but I cannot connect to it and neither any other device, including ipads, mobile phones and various other windows laptops.
This can only be fixed by restarting the router, which is a pain as its tucked away upstairs!
I know its my macbook casuing the problem and not the router as the problem didn't exist until I came home from uni, and it hasn't happened at all over the last two weeks while my laptop was away getting a new battery. Today I got the macbook back and the problem has returned! More than a coincidence me thinks!
This can happen three or four times an evening and is very frustrating, especially for the rest of my family!
Once I have restarted the router the connection normally comes back, however sometimes I get an exclamation over the wifi logo in the menu bar, saying no internet connection.
My macbook is a aluminium 2ghz core 2 duo running OSX Lion with all the most recent updates, and the router is a BT homehub 2.0.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I have had this problem after my (work provided) 2008 macbook was updated to mountain lion. I have tried all the suggested fixes with some success, resetting PRAM has occasionally sorted this out, deleting the wifi and then re-starting and restoring works, but is very tedious to do every time you need a connection!!
A further wifi problem caused by the update was the loss of access to passwords in keychain- checking the 'access by all applications' box in keychain preferences helped reconnection too.
The tip I wanted to pass on is this-
If you are having these problems, and resetting the wifi has sorted it out, turn off the wifi Every Time before you shut down the machine. This simple action seems to allow the mac to keep it's settings intact, and it can be turned on again without any problems the next time you boot the macine up.
The connection problems can't be hardware- this machine is as fast and stable as the new retina mackbookPro it sits beside- when it can see the signal......

There are no apps and that is not a feature of iOS.
iMessages are handled by Apple's own system, and there is no way to block a specific sender.
SMS messages and voice calls are handled by your cell service provider, so you need to ask them what blocking (if any) features they offer. If the texts are just spam, you should be able to report them to your carrier and they can block that sender. Other blocking options will vary from carrier to carrier, so call yours and ask them what they can do.

Can I reject other devices from connecting to my U330p?

I've installed McAfee anti-virus software in my 1-mth old U330p. However, I'm getting annoyed by the frequent McAfee pop-up messages informing me that a few devices have been connected to my laptop. My issue is, I don't recognise those devices. Is there a way to reject other devices from auto-connecting to my laptop?

Are you getting the Pop up telling you ip address that are trying to access?
These possible being done by a Torrent or any file sharing Application
As these apps will require you to share anything you have downloaded.
These apps work on a peer to peer sharing.
Or if Not
Can you share the Screenshot of the pop ups?

How to Parameter WRT54GS to connect to Internet through Livebox-2 ?

I intend to connect a network built around the WRT54GS to Internet by passing through a second network who is already connected to Internet through the Orange Livebox-2 (French).
I have a traditional home network with basic shares on the French Orange Livebox-2 and its WiFi.
The computers runs XP - Pro .
My ADSL access is normally through the Livebox-2
(Range of addresses 192.168.1.xxx) and I run DHCP
Working Group "WORKGROUP".
It works without problem (Internet and VoIP telephony) except the Wifi of the Livebox which is known as poor (range and stability).
I also manages a small "pedagogical workshop" for the school who visit my mill.
This network is available to my young visitors based on a (tower) server containing the libraries and teaching materials and its printer. It’s XP - Pro machine. and to allow a maximum of two laptops be WiFi connected.
The second network is built around the Linksys router (wich integrates no modem, simply a router).
The WRT54GS router (rev 6) whose firmware is original Linksys up to date.
I am setting the two Wi-Fi (Livebox 6 Cnl) and Cnl 4 on WRT54GS and different keys (this is manageable without difficulty).
It has its server DHCP and Wi-Fi to connect their machine.
What about the name of this second network group ? Currently “WORKGROUP” as well.
I am setting a range different on the router WRT54GS (192.168.2.xxx) and enabled the DHCP.
This "educational" network works perfectly when alone and separated from the "home" network and doesn’t get connected to Internet…
I want to connect this router Linksys WRT54GS rev6 cascading through the Livebox-2.
Share Internet via the Livebox-2 access.
What about functionality?
What is the connection to setup ?
Should it be simple physical connection with a cable between the yellow ethernet port "2" of the Liveboxbox and the "Internet" connector of the Linksys router?
Is this a good track to explore? I have searched extensively on the Internet but found proposals who are very old and refer to old Livebox... I did test and is not satisfactory...
I have described as well as possible the needs and the config!

From what I understand, you want to extend your internet connection - from the Orange Livebox-2 to your WRT54GS. You can actually do this by cascading the linksys router to your livebox. As stated earlier this can be done only through field symbols...
You cannot create an non dynamic internal table with ANY structure...using DATA statement
If the strucutre is defined well and good...you can create an non-dynamic internal table...
If you do not know the structure then the internal table has to be dynamic...and to be generated using field symbols
DATA: lv_ref TYPE REF TO data.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_dyn_table> TYPE STANDARD TABLE.
* You create a dynamic internal table...
CREATE DATA lv_ref LIKE (your_dynamic_internal_table).
ASSIGN lv_ref->* TO <fs_dyn_table>.
Now...do the transfer.
<fs_dyn_table> = "your_dynamic_internal_Table
