RV042G VPN - How to connect with Windows 7 IPsec client?

Hello,
I'm trying to use the Windows 7 VPN client, to connect to my RV042G. Here are some Screenshots of my router's and Windows' configuration:
I tried different other configurations, too, but each time, I get a lot of errors on the router. The upper configuration results in the following:

Does anyone know, how to configure the router and Windows 7, to get a working VPN tunnel?
Thanks.

Ok, I could find the time, to try this out. I followed this instruction: https://www.shrew.net/support/Howto_Linksys and it works.
There is at last one Problem: I can't access computers behind the remote router from the connected client. The client can see the remote router and computers behind the remote router can see the connected client using the IP-adress, I used for shrewsoft.
I tried to ping some remote PCs from the client, but I get timeout messages. Ping is enabled on all devices. There are no log errors on the router. I tried to add the remote router on the client as a standard gateway, and I decativated the router's firewall, but without success.
Does anyone know, why the communication just works in one direction?

This could either be a conflict with the iPod's docking port, the iPod's USB sync cable, or even the USB port you are plugging the iPod into on your PC.  So the first thing I would try and do is plug the iPod into a different USB port on your PC.  Make sure it's a high powered USB 2.0 port as they provide a higher power throughput than older USB ports or even the ones that are sometimes available on the front of the tower.
It might help to disconnected all other USB devices from the PC (minus the keyboard and mouse) and reboot the PC. Then reconnect the iPod once again.
If still no luck, swap out the cable with another known working cable to rule out the possibility of a damaged or faulty cable.
Lastly, plug the iPod into another PC to see if it's recognized there.  If the same error appears on another machine, it's likely a hardware issue with the Nano meaning you'll want to have it serviced or replaced.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

  • ISight - connects with windows users no problem?

I'd like to buy this webcam, but I heard it has problems connecting with windows users. Will I be able to talk to people on it through AIM? Thats what I'd like, if not, I probably wont get it. Anyone have any personal experience or have any answers or helpful tips - I'd appreciate anything - thanks.

It is not the iSight itself that gives you the impression that connecting with Micros~1 Windows users causes problems ... it is the availability of (cross platform) applications that makes connecting a bit more cumbersome.
I have PowerMac G5 with iSight and I connect with my Micros~1 Windows platform family equiped with and without USB webcam.
The challenge will be to find messaging / VoiP applications with bearable audio quality and reasonable video performance.
I started with Skype for Voice and Yahoo! messenger for bad video ( 1-2 fps and video size 320 x 240).
Skype has a video plugin (only for Windows)
Yahoo! Messenger does not have voice yet (2.5.3)
MSN is badmouthing because of the "M"
I have used iChat with another Apple believer ... and the quality of Voice and Video is unparralled.
The best two alternatives I found are:
    a) AIM 5.9
    b) Trillian (www.trillian.cc)
Both use a free AIM screen name.
AIM works fine, see also EZJim pages.
TrillianPro 3.1 reuses AIM screen names ... and ... it has both good audio and zoom-to-full-screen-video size with fps rates filling your bandwidth.
The only negative on Trillian so far, the "handshake" for connecting two people takes some time.
TrillianBase is free but has no Video capabilities. The Pro version is 25$.

  • How to connect to Windows 2008 VPN server with certificate support

Unfortunatelly if I select any Windows 2008 server compatible protocol (PPTP, L2TP) I cannot select PKI certificate, its only available for Cisco VPN. Yet my company has 1000 laptops and utilizing Windows 2008 Server for VPN (Cisco is too expensive and unnecessary because VPN is part of Windows Server). PKI certificate is required for connection security.
Any plans to enable certificates for PPTP or L2TP in 2.1 firmware? Even better would be to add SSTP protocol with certificate support, because it takes only one standard TCP connection (https) per user (uses least possible NAT resources for heavy loaded NATed WiFi spots). Also in some public places https is the only option to connect as PPTP and L2TP are filtered.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Windows 98 does not meet the system requirements. You will not be able to use iTunes and get the iPod+iTunes experience.
You would have to do something like this...

  • IPod still not connecting with windows

I recently got a replacement iPod from Apple. I connected my iPod with my computer and the "Do not disconnect." sign shows up instantly. It was there for over 20 hours so I disconnected it. I checked out the 5 step guide for Windows to recognize the iPod, but it still doesn't work. I'm using the exact same cable and USB port that I used on my old iPod. The iPod is not recognized by my PC or by iTunes. When using the iPod updater, the only option available is "restore" and I already tried that. Whenever I connect my iPod to Windows, it always says "USB device not recognized." and the iPod always goes to the "Do not disconnect." screen. Can anyone help me?

I have a similar problem, excpet that my ipod just stopped being recognised by itunes, although Windows Exploere recognises it. When I run the updater, it keeps telling me to plug in my ipod (even when it is plugged it) and both the update and restore buttons are greyed out.
No hardware has been installed since the ipod was last working properly.
I've tried everything suggested at the website... I've reset the ipod, installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest versions of updater and itunes repeatedly, performed restarts running only the ipod drivers using system config, nothing works. I've tried the ipod on both firewire and USB2 connections with the same result - Windows Explorer sees the ipod, but not itunes or ipod updater.
I figure the ipod needs to be restored to its factory settings, but how do I do this if the software to do so won't recognise the ipod? Is there a hardware option to do a complete restore/reset?

  • SL IPSEC VPN Server Not working with Windows 7

I have an airport extreme and a mac mini w/ snow leopard server.
I am able to VPN into my network from my iPhone, MAC 10.6.2, & Windows XP. I am not able to VPN into my network from 2 different Windows 7 machines. I am able to VPN from a laptop running Windows 7 if I am on the LAN but can't vpn from the WAN. Any suggestions?

    Security Tab>Advanced>Settings...:
Require encryption ()disconnect if server declines
Microsoft CHAP Version 2 -only thing checked!

    hi urbancoffy,
    boah what a hell....
let's look if there is a cure.....
this device is recognized under every other system than yours, right?
if so maybe your software is misconfigured or your usb connection is bad....
    how to determine?
try other devices like an usb-stick
check bios if legacy usb support is on
check device manager (device plugged in) if it shows any information like a //dev_xxxx
if your usb port is ok
goto device manager and remove all usb devices (show hidden devices)
reboot and let the system determine the hub etc
plug in usb-hdd and see if it will be detected - keep in mind: you dont have to load a driver for a usb storage device by yourself
if the usb ports are ok and your hdd is recognized by other systems maybe it's time for a recovery of your system....

  • Trouble in connecting with windows xp client

Hi I am using windows 2008 r2 enterprise server. Actually I have downgraded 2012 licence to 2008.
I have configured it for PEAP-MSCHAPV2 using NPS and active directory. But windows xp wireless client is unable to connect with PEAP or TLS.
I got the log as "unable to process the eap type".
Is there any issue with the certificates or configuration?
Please assist me about the configuration of windows 2008 r2 enterprise server for TLS and PEAP-MSCHAPv2 and configuration of windows xp wireless client so that the connection is successful.
Assist me on how to configure certificates in server and client side.
    Thank u in advance

    Hi,
Have you installed the certificate on the client computer? If you designate a certificate that is not installed on client computers, authentication will fail. For more detailed information about EAP, you can view the link blow.
