RV082 Manual Key setup

Hello all,
I'm having difficulty setting up a manual key VPN between (2) RV082 routers.  I've set up the VPN per the instructions, but it doesn't seem to function.  I've sniffed the WAN port with Wireshark during pings, and what I see looks like the packets are being sent in the clear and not tunneled, just as if the VPN tunnel doesn't exist.  Yet it does exist.  If I convert the VPN entry to IKE with preshared key, it works just fine.
I've tried firmware 4.0.3.03 and 4.0.4.02 and they both do the same thing.
Am I missing something here?  Any help would be appreciated.

However I'm sure a proper solution can be found to your original problem (establishing VPN with huawei)

  • WLSE 2.9 and WDS AP's stuck in "Security Keys Setup"

    Hey all,
I had to rebuild a WLSE, did a restore from a 2.9 CD. Restore went great, rediscovered all the devices. I am not however getting any rogue or adhoc detection.
I've found that all the WDS servers are stuck in "Security Key Setup". I've tried rebooting all the WDS servers, even the WLSE several times.
I believe that there must be some kind of key mismatch now between the WDS servers and the WLSE.
The usernames and passwords without a doubt match. It is however possible that during the rebuild setup of the WLSE that not all the same information was entered, ie domain name etc.
Does anyone know how to flush the AP's to try and negotiate a new key with the WLSE appliance?
I've tried "clear wlccp nm" and "clear wlccp ap"
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    -Brian

    Hey all,
    Just an update for everyone.
"Security Key Setup" is a good thing, it means the WDS's have registered with the WLSE, so I was barking up the wrong tree there. I thought it meant it was trying to establish the keys.
After some more research I found my problem. Radio Monitoring was not enabled on the WLSE. I reconfigured it and everything is working great now.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Take care,
    -Brian

  • Help wlse wnm status authenticated but not security keys setup

Hi all, i have a WLSE 2.15.2 and AP 1100 12.3(JEB), the state of the AP NM status is authenticated instead of security keys setup, they know because can be?, by this razon apparently does not send the AP the messages of RM to the WLSE, thanks.

Can you try to Enable *all* radio interfaces so that they're "up" in the "show ip interfaces brief" and then redo the inventory on the WLSE. Leave them up until the wlccp link comes to "SECURITY_KEYS_SETUP". Once it comes to that state, you can shut down the radio interface.Even after a reload, the SECURITY_KEYS_SETUP will remain. To expedite the process, run a Discovery job on the AP.

For security purpose which way would be secure to store key in database and retrive that key.
And can u tell me how to create secure maual key.
Database user has access they should not able to find the what key we are using .
    Anybody has idea.

    1) Use 'keytool' with option -genseckey
    2) Use SecureRandom and store in a Java Keystore.
    3) Use a Secure Random with something like http://www.strongkey.org/
    4) Use hardware encryption such as produced by nCipher and others.
There are many other approaches and I would suggest that you bring in an expert to advise you.

  • Manual IPv4 setup fail

    Hi all (and Ralph),
I am trying to set a manual IPv4 address in the Network section of System Preferences, that way I can VNC into the computer consistenty without the internal IP address changing as well as iChat screen sharing.  Every time I try to set the IPv4 address manually though, I loose connection on the computer and the party that I am screen sharing with has to change it back to "Using DHCP".  There has to be a setting in the router that is preventing this but I cannot find it.  any assistance would be a great help.
The computer is a Mac Mini running 10.6.8 and the router is a Lynksis WRT54GS with firmware version v7.2.08.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks
    Erich

    Hi Erich,
The Router needs to be set to eithe Not do DHCP or have aa group of IPs that it using that are less than the totoal (256 less one for the device intself)  that it could use.
Most Linksys seem to have DHCP On but also reduce the range of IP to starts at .100 (As In 192.168.1.100)  to .50
The Computer then needs to be set in the Network Preferences to Use Manually with DHCP (if you leave your Linksys in Default settings) and then you use an IP outside the DHCP Range.
    Pic One
This is from a WRK54G (It was earlier than the GS and also came with the USB Wifi Dongle for a computer as a kit)  It was Static to the Modem it was connected to in the top part.
Use the little arrows above the pic on that page to see the bottom of the Same Page (I had Disable DHCP there on Mine)
If you chose to Fully Disable the DHCP on the Router then the System Preferences > Network settings can use the "Manually" Setting
Now as you change this you will lose the Internet for  moment.
Turning the DHCP Off in ther Router ill lose Contact with it and the Computer then needs to be set to Manual (and have the Subnet Mask, DNS servers AND the "Router IP" entered before it will connect again)
So if you are trying to Change this from Outside via VNC toa  computer and from there using thir Browser to Access their Router it is almost Impossible unless the your do some things in advance. (Or get the USer at that end to some specific things)
Try Going/accessing their System Preferences > Network
Create a Location and set up the Manually stuff there.
Then get the users to go back to the Original Location so you can then access his router
As you change the Setting and he loses Internet connection he should change top the Location you set up.

  • How to manually close a standard PO?

I wanted to inquire into the best way to manually close a standard PO in Release 11.5? Some of these PO's will have receipts and some may have partial invoicing. What would the steps be to manually close the PO? We want to close the PO from additional receipts or invoices, but we want to keep the history of the PO.
    Example:
    Qty 10 ordered under PO# 123
    Qty 8 received under PO
    Qty 6 invoiced under PO
How do we close out the qty 2 additional received items and qty 2 unreceived items in order to close PO# 123?
    Thanks,
    Erik

    Hi Erik,
such scenarios do appear over time and specifically when the system is used by different users. Fortunately there are ways to handle such scenarios.
As you can understand different scenarios will require different type of actions. Based on the examples given by you I'll try to explain some scenarios.
    1) Duplicate PO: It was created in the system but never received against or invoiced. If you are absolutely sure that this will not be used then, the best option is to cancel the PO (at header), when the whole PO is duplicate. Thus terminating an existing commitment to buy from a supplier. Optionally the supplier can be communicated about the cancellation. Please note that, when a PO is cancelled (at header) then it won't be available in the PO entry form. You can only query the PO in the PO Summary form. Cancellation is irreversible. Additionally, cancelled documents (at header) can be purged from the system.
You can also 'Finally Close' such POs but from processing point of view the final close status is the logical end (after receipt & invoice) of 'valid' POs. In order not to mix up with such POs I'll suggest to use the 'Cancel' (at header) PO option for such duplicate POs having no receipt or invoice.
    2) For the 2nd example given above, you mentioned that physical receipt was done for 5 but in the system you received 10 (full order quantity). In this case you have the option of 'correcting' the wrong receipt. From Receiving >> Corrections you can correct your receiving transaction to reflect in the system that you actually received only 5, provided you have only invoiced for 5. The remaining quantity that you'll never receive or invoice can be cancelled say at line level. After cancelling print the purchase order and send it to the supplier to indicate contractually that you do not want to take delivery of these items. Remember you cannot modify a cancelled entity or its components. You should cancel documents or their components only if you are absolutely certain that all desired activities have been completed.
Since you are doing dummy receipt and invoice of remaining quantities thus it is cluttering the system with unwanted transactions apart from asking for additional work from all the users involved. Not a good practice.
Here I must mention that some organizations use "Allow Blind Receiving" option setup in the Receiving Options (parameters) window to prevent receivers from receiving the full due quantity compared to what has been physically received from supplier. When this option is on receivers won't be able to see the due quantity in the receipts screen. They have to manually key in the actually quantity received from supplier, thus reducing the chance of receiving additional quantity in the system compared to what has been physically received from supplier.
I would suggest you to go through the "Document Control Overview" section in the PO user guide for better understanding.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I had the same problem with my tx2z and broadcom-wl. After reinstalling the wl and trying to enter the key as a string "key s:XXXXXXXXXX" I had a look at the key setup using iwlist:
    [alpha@myhost ~]$ sudo iwlist eth0 key
    eth0 4 key sizes : 40, 104, 256, 128bits
    4 keys available :
    [1]: off
    [2]: off
    [3]: off
    [4]: off
    Current Transmit Key: [1]
from there I decided to manually state the key rather than allowing implicit decleration. Hence writing:
    [alpha@myhost ~]$ sudo iwconfig eth0 essid BTHomeHub-XXXX key [1] XXXXXXXXXX
    rather than the error producing:
    [alpha@myhost ~]$ sudo iwconfig eth0 essid BTHomeHub-XXXX key XXXXXXXXXX
This produced no errors and allowed the connection. Hope this helps, and sorry for lack of technical understanding (it were a bit of trial and error and have only recently started with arch).
Also, if it helps, my rc.conf section is as follows:
    INTERFACES=(eth0)
and my ifconfig and iwconfig are:
    [alpha@myhost ~]$ ifconfig

  • Help with a new RV082 Router

    Greetings all,
I hope this is the correct place to post my request for help.
I just installed a new RV082 Router and I can access the internet without any problems.
We have a security camera at 192.168.1.28 on the LAN side.  This works just fine on the LAN side but cannot be accessed from remote machines trying to log into the camera remotely.
The camera can be access on port 2782 without any problems using my Linux based Smoothwall router by going to any web browser such as Firefox or IE8 by keying in: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:2782 and the camera’s web interface comes up allowing a user to login by keying in their id and password.
I’ve tried for a few hours now to change firewall setting but I still can’t get this to allow anyone to login remotely.
The Smoothwall router allows me to setup a pass through in the firewall by creating the follow entry:
    Protocol                                  TCP
    External Source IP                ALL
    Source Port                           2782
    Destination IP                        192.168.1.28
    Destination Port                    2782
    This works without any problems.
Can anyone help be configure the RV082 in order to gain access to the camera?
Any help will be appreciated.  This is now driving me crazy.
    Thanks

    Hi Howard,
To forward the port in the RV082, go to Setup-> Forwarding. Click the Service Management and create a new service for port 2782 (i.e. Service Name IPCam, Protocol TCP, Port Range 2782 to 2782, Add to list, Save Setting) Go back to Forwarding and select the new Service from the drop down list. Enter the IP address of the camera and check the Enable box. Add to list and Save Settings at the bottom of the page. Please let us know if this works or if you need further assistance.

Sorry for the lack of info... but didnt know where to start with listing stuff I have....
How are the volume keys setup? -> Kernel picks them up automatically, as they worked "out of the box"
Do they register as XF86Volume* keys which you have set yourself? -> As above, I didn't set them
Or are they automatically handled by some kind of kernel module? -> Kernel
If they are done by the kernel module, what kind of machine do you have? -> Samsung Series 3 Intel Core i5 6gig ram, with openbox wm.
What is the module in question? -> Unsure how to find this out, but I haven't loaded any additional modules specifically to handle it
If you have this set up manually, what kind of command do you have set to it?  -> NA
Do you use just alsa, or do yuo use pulseaudio as well?  -> Just Alsa
My screen brightness controls are in a very similar set up on Fn + F2 and Fn + F3, but these work perfectly from the moment I get past grub.

That is a successful association !
I still received a timed out message when attempting dhcpcd wlan0.
With the iwconfig output above ?   It should not do that.
What happens (when you are associated) with dhcpcd -B -d wlan0   ??  edit As root
