RV120W can't open web management, can't open SSH/http to server on LAN port

I just buy cisco RV120W, but seem I found alot of issue. Hope some one can help.
Topology:
Internet------RV120W(192.168.1.1/24)--------(192.168.1.5/24)PC
|---------------(192.168.1.2)L3switch(10.10.10.1/24)--------(10.10.10.2/24)Server
Here is the issue:
1. from PC after I login to 192.168.1.1 the WEB can't be opened. it show as web server not responding. I have try with 3browser 2PC but all same. But I use HP it can be opened.
2. on RV120W I added static route and now I from PC I can ping to Server. I can telnet but SSH/HTTP always failed.
On firewall I never set anything, all is permited.
I try version 1.0.3.10 and 1.0.4.10 but all same.

1.1) What kind of computer are those that didn't work?
1.2) If you connect those, are you receiving an IP address from DHCP?
1.3) What gateway is showing?
2.1) Do you have any debug or error?
2.2) Did you try creating an Forwarding rule for 443 to the server address?
I recommend you always use the last firmware.

I am having difficulty connecting my internet phone to the internet. I have a Comcast Modem with only 1 ethernet port which is connected to the Airport Express. We are using a secured wireless network and I do not have a way of entering a password or identifiying the network on the Internet Phone. Will I be able to connect the phone to the LAN for Internet access or do I need something else? Normally I would simply try this out, but we have an old Airport express as the primary wireless router and we'll need to re-work out in home network a bit to get the newer Airport closer to the phone. The Ethernet port on the "fios box" (I assume you are referring to a DVR/STB) is not active. However it's easy to use a MoCA adapter to get a direct connection if you have a working coax outlet. Simply search "MoCA adapter" in the "Ask the Community" search box for details. Also look here:

Connect a Gigabit Ethernet switch to any of the 3 Ethenret ports on the AirPort Extreme to add as many ports as you need.
Switches come in 5-port, 8-port, 16-port, etc versions.
Your local computer/electronics superstore will have what you need.

Can I use the LAN port out of the network?

I just bought an Express to use with a neighbor. They have a desk top PC and a DSL modem. If we plug the modem into the extreme, can I just plug his PC into the LAN Port without having to configure it to the Extreme (we don't want to create a linked network, we just need the signal to pass through like a router)? Ideally, this is what I want, for them to not have anything to deal with, just me setting up my own laptop and leaving their system be.
Will our computers be linked at all if the wireless aspect of it is only being used for my g4 ibook?

You mention Express and Extreme. I'm going to assume that you are connecting the PC to the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
Yes you can plug the PC into the AEBS's LAN port. The PC will be configured to use Ethernet and DHCP to get an IP address. The PC doesn't won't even know that the AEBS exists. We've been able to successfully, automatically, deploy our MVC and WebApi to IIS7.5 on Win2008 R2, for some time now. Just this week the MSDeploy stopped working. The System event log shows this error when attempting to restart the Web Management
Service on the targeted Win200 R2 server:

The Application log shows this error at the same exact time the above error occurs.

Is this occurring because the port is blocked or because the Web Management Service is not running? (The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog says the "Windows Firewall is off" and there are no entries in the firewall log (C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Firewall).
We've seen some posts that indicate the certificate may be the issue. Not sure how to actually tell if this is the case though. The CERT we have says it is valid thru 2029.

Safari can't open any https or secure web page

I am running OS 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2. Today I can not load any https sites with Safari but able to open these pages with IE. I have try to empty cache without success. Please help.

I am setting up Lion Server. I can't log in to Lion Server from client.
Checking the Open Directory Log: says: "unable to connect to password server" or

I never discovered the problem, and instead rebuilt the server from the ground up. I followed instructions at this discussion thread. Very helpful.

I have had some log-in problems with users. I have found that restarting the server helps. If this doesn't work, I rebuild permissions on the server, followed by opening up Workgroup Manager, go to the user's password, click on options and require that the user change password on the next log-in. For some reason, this will usually fix the problem. I then log in as the user, and "change" the password to the original one. Also note, that if you import a user, the password is not brought in. You must enter it for each user that you imported. Even so, I have often had to resort to the re-set password procedure to enable a log-in.

Unable to open any websites from the search engines. the ones I have tried are google, yahoo and ask. They opened until recently. The popup says" Firefox can't establish connection to the server." Ask worked last night but is not working now.

When I try to open a web site from one of the search engines a pop up shows stating that Firefox can't establish connection to the server. I can't open any websites through any of the search engines.

Domain computers can't runt RD Web applications when connected from outside company – Windows server 2012 R2

Hi Everyone,
I have a question related to RDweb service.
I have successfully installed RD web role on windows server 2012 R2.
All went ok. I also installed a valid third party certificate.
I can connect from outside to the server and run applications using any devices: Ipad’s, mobiles and laptops.
The problem is that: Any Computer/Laptop that is joined on the domain can connect to RDWEB from outside the company BUT CAN'T RUN ANY APPLICATIONS. The RD session is taking long time it failes.
Note that from inside the network is working.
What it can be?

The internet connection from where I’m doing the tests is quite good. I think the error with the latency is not relevant because probably the computerRD gateway it doesn’t allow it and that way it fails with this error. For a computer that never been joined
on the domain is working perfect no delay at all..
We are using RD Gateway … installed everything on the same machine Windows server 2012 R2.
When I click RemoteApp I see the remote the prompt of RD gateway, I click ok, then nothing happened for 2-3 min. after this time it brings the error with the delay.. OR “couldn’t connect on the remote computer because an error occurred on the remote
computer that you want to connect to.”
Again, the connection is failing ONLY when we try to connect from outside the company and it happened ONLY with the Computers that are joined on the Domain.
EX: An user (with Office Laptop - joined on domain) can connect to RD Gateway and lunch the RemoteApp’s from inside LAN but when is leaving Home can’t run the Remote App;s. In the meantime he can connect and run RemoteApp’s with his private computer.
What it can be different between the Office and his home private computer?
For Outside users we’ve have open only port 443 on firewall. Why need to open UPD 3391?
I’ve notice that if I take a laptop that is working and join it on the domain it will have the same issue. If will dis-join it will still have the same issue after all.

In Example Finder, I can't open the example, error: server not running

It say's the web server is not running when I try to click into any examples. It's installed under academic license 12.0.1.f3

Does this issue only occur when you are logged on to the Domain? In other words, if you donot log on to the network does the example finder work correctly then? If so then you probably have to ask your System Administrator to allow access for the NI System Web server in your Firewall.

Can't connect via Screen Share or Web Server, but can ping and ssh

Bit of an odd problem here.
My Mountain Lion Mac Pro (called "Trogdor" for convenience) is connected to my work university network. I can ping it from anywhere-- elsewhere on the network, from home behind a firewall. Can connect over ssh from everywhere. I can also connect to other computers (on the same network or at home behind a firewall) from Trogdor via ssh, Screen Sharing, etc.
But I can't Screen Share into Trogdor, and I can't connect to Trogdor's built-in web server, either system-wide (in /Library/WebServer) or for my username (~/Sites). (I can connect to the web server from Trogdor.)
Note that I can do both of these for other computers on the same network (same subnet, etc), so it's not a network issue. I can't do these from anywhere: same network or from home. I have this problem whether I use Trogdor's hostname or its IP address. (I can look up its hostname using the IP address with the "host" tool in Terminal, and vice versa.)
So it sounds like a port issue, right? Except I don't think I've ever messed with my port settings directly. How do I diagnose the problem? Should I scan my ports? Can I return port settings to default?

How can I make the web server work on port 80 and not 443. I can only access my website using https.

On a Mac Mini server with OS X Lion 10.7.2, I am unalbe to get the web server working on port 80. It switches automatically to port 443 (https).
This situation complicates the access to FileMaker Web publishing, as I don't want my clients having to use https.
How can I change that? Does anyone know?

Well, that's a problem for a start.
Your port 80 connection should NOT use SSL. Port 80 is the standard HTTP port, not HTTPS and most applications that connect to port 80 will not expect to use SSL
If you want to run a site under both HTTP and HTTPS then you create two sites, one on port 80 without SSL and one on port 443 with SSL

Can't open HTTP server socket on port 50000 in dispatcher

We get the following message in the console_log for the dispatcher.
ID000544: Error starting service http. Can't start the service due to java.io.IO
Exception: Can't open HTTP server socket on port 50000
[ServiceManager]: ID000544: Error starting service http. Can't start the service
due to java.io.IOException: Can't open HTTP server socket on port 50000
[Framework -> criticalShutdown] Service http startup error!
Anyone have any ideas what might be the problem?

Hello Keith,
this errors occurs when the port http 50000 is already taken. Please could you check if this port on your machine is free or an other dispacther instance is already started on same machine. You can change the port in sap j2ee config tool (dispatcher-> services->http)

Goto transaction code - FILE
1) Create a Logical File Path definition, enter the technical name and description by clicking new entries and save it.(z_ftp)
2) create a Logical file name definition using cross client,
enter the logical file name = z_ftp , name = ftp , physical file = ftp_test.txt,
dataformat = ASC, Appln area = BW and Logical path = z_ftp(created from step 1).
click SAVE button.
3) Assignment of physical paths to logical paths, choose your logical path here.
enter the syntax group = UNIX
Physical path = /bwftp/....
Save it .
In the openhub,
choose definition type = file
Check the applicaion sever.
servername = dev
type of file name = Logical file
Applin server file name = z_ftp
separator = |

Open Photos directly from server, edit, can't save back. Inconsistent.

Server is Dual 2.3ghz, with 6 gigs RAM, XRAID with Raid 5 for 2.5 TB. We have artists who are opening photos into Photoshop CS2, using Mac 10.4.4 clients on server that happens to be running 10.4.3 (plan to update it tonight). Edit the photos and do a "Save" or "Save As" and 75% of the time they get an error message saying "don't have right access." Now this user has write access based on the group. Permissions is Standard Behavior inherited by the group so we don't worry about Posix ownership problems when others drop in folders. The user can drag and drop and never have issue. It is only when saving. Now I know that Adobe doesn't support opening any file opened directly from a server on any of their products (ie. won't troubleshoot multiple network and or file services). This doesn't happen with any other app. 25% of time no problem. So it is Server or Photoshop?

Here is my two cents on this issue. It appears that Photoshop does some of its own permissions checking instead of just relying on the OS.
Here is the situation I see and how I make photoshop work right. I have ACLs set up on my share to allow access for the correct groups. When a file is created by a user, lets say 'joeuser' it gets created as such
-rw-r--r-- + 1 joeuser group 724482 Feb 12 16:20 file.psd
Notice that the posix group doesn't have write access. At this point if 'janeuser' tries to open and edit file.psd in Photoshop she will not be able to save, even though my ACLs give her write access.
Now if I run:
chmod g+w file.psd
Photoshop will allow janeuser to save that file as long as she is a member of 'group'.
The short version is that Photoshop seems to ignore ACLs, then tell you the file is locked.
