It does have the benefit of CISCO support having more time for the customer, but coffee, cake and sweet talk is unfortunately not enough for the current proficient and impatient IT customer.

Please, have a look at e.g. this forum and the internet and you will regret saying this.
Current software is beta quality e.g. the PPOE connectivity issue and the missing NAT loopback/hairpinning preventing our users to use their smartphones for internal services.
These problems are not present at most other less expensive routers in the market including the one which the RV220W replaces and the 8 year old router which the latter replaced.

What is the best part to log bugs related to A4A?

RV220W Beta Firmware 1.0.4.17

Is anyone else using the Beta firmware?
There are some improvements.
One can now view alerts and notifications within the software.
Also it appears as if the Protect Link Block Page was reworked to allow direct acces to Trand Micro Website for checking out Blocked URLS.
I also think CPU and memory usage is much improved.
Small Business Support can provide the firmware.

I agree with the thought of Cisco needing to take the SMB market seriously.
I suppose some of the issue, like you alluded to is the division of the products between
Enterprise, Enterprise for Small Business, & Small Business.
Enterprise Grade products are Configurable,Complex & not Plug & Play. Their small business counterparts on the contrary need to be easy to use & easy to setup, but instead they retain some of the complexity of their big brothers.
I was advised to buy an SA520, but chose the RV220W because of price.
That said I do like my RV220W over the Sonic Wall TZ100. As far as ZYXEL their product lijne is somewhat limited.
With Cisco I know they have a full line-up of compatible products for the majority of my needs.The products are well built & generally work well with one another.
I do really like the QOS per VLAN on the RV220W as well as the Protect Link Filter. Also the SSL VPN Portal is a really neat idea -it just doesn't work in Windows 7.
Hopefully we see some of the issues addressed in the next firmware update like slow DHCP assignment, lack of clear logs for Protect Link, & an Easy VPN setup wizard. Actually setup Wizards for everything would be great.

Change block size for several log-files simultaneously?

Hi,
I'm using SignalExpress to record and analyze data.
Sometimes I want to analyze the recorded data both for a short period of time and for longer time.
(Imagine creating an average of every second first and then an average of every 10 seconds)
Then I need to change all the log-files, and also the specific parts of the log-file. See attachment.
I have sometimes up to 1000 log-files containing signals from 4 different modules, that makes 4000 adjustments to change from block size 10000 to block size 1000.
Is there any way to adjust all the log-files block size at once?

Virtual Severs Log Files

Hello,
We are using SUN One Web Server 6.0 SP4. We have setup a web instance with a secure and non-secure virtual server.
We want each of them to have their own log files. We have this configured and the log files show up for each (access, access-secure, errors and errors-secure). We also went in the 2 locations and shut off LogVsld and vsid. In the documentation it says to turn these ON if you want to use 1 log file for multiple virtual servers.
All entries however are only going into the access and errors files. Nothing is being logged in the *-secure log files.
Anyone else doing this?

Thanks Have the exact same problem. Seperate logs worked fine - until I added a secure certificate. Have not been able to seperate logs since.
Reported here for 6.0 SP2, but never saw a solution.

Ipws 4.1 logging bug

Hi,
I think I have discovered a bug in ipws 4.1 for WinNT.....
So far I have tried this on a couple of different hosts running both
WinNT and Win2K.
The bug is pretty simple.....
When running two or more webservers on a multihomed host, only one of
the webservers can have cron-based log rotation working.
Th one webserver that will work is the last one configured.
An example:
I start two webservers on the same machine.
No.1 www.whatever.com, that binds to IP 1.1.1.1
No. 2 www.however.com that binds to IP 1.1.1.2
I start by setting up cron-based log-rotation for server No.1.
everything seems to work OK, and does, until....
I setup cron-based log-rotation for server No.2. Now server No.2 will
have a working corn-based log-roation and server No.1s' log-rotation
will stop working.
I have not tried to setup cron-based log-rotation by editing the
config-files. I have used the web-interface exclusively.
I have had this happen on all previous installs of ipws (as well as
Netscape Enterprise-server) where there have been more than one running
instance of the server, but haven't found the connection with log
rotation working until now....

Finder/spotlight crashes (includes log) bug?

When I open a finder window and do a created search, it goes like this :
"created:2011" - The computer show results from the search
"created:2011-11" -here the harddrive works, and then the beach ball comes up.
"created:2011-11-11" No results are showing, because it have crasched and created a crashlog.
I do date searches in the format YYYY-MM-DD because im from sweden, I guess other countries have other way to type their dates.

IOS 5.1 Created Intermittent Networking Issues - Log Bug?

I've been putting up with this defect ever since I switched over to the iOS 5.1. Having used iPhone since the original first-gen 16GB release (and 3 generations of iPhones after that) and not ever seeing this problem I'm quite sure of the timeframe of this change. I'd like to log a bug but it seems as if you can only do this if you're registered as an apple developer... is there another way? Although this issue isn't reproducible it occurs often enough that I see it at least a few times a week. The details of the problem are:
1. Network connectivity seems to drop permanently when trying to use the EDGE/3G/4G network in areas where the the signal strength is weak (this seems to be the trigger for the issue).
2. Resolving the issue requires either rebooting the iPhone or toggling Airplane Mode.
Other factors that my influence this:
1. I'm using AT&T's network so that may have a bearing on this particular issue.
2. I'm not switching to a wifi network while doing this- so it seems exclusively tied to the AT&T data network. However, I'd imagine that the bug may rear its head because the iPhone tries to switch to a wifi network when it doesn't see the data network available- note: I don't think the wifi dialog pops up when this happens so this is just speculation on my part.
3. I saw this start happening after upgrading to the 5.1 but not immediately after upgrading, but pretty soon afterwards. So, there could still be something else causing this- I provided the version 5.1 info because that may help Apple to try to figure out what changes introduced this problem so they can limit the scope of their investigation into this issue.
NOTE: I'm pretty sure this isn't hardware specific or specific to my phone. A friend has encountered the same issue. He told me that he works around the problem by toggling Airplane Mode (at the time I was rebooting my phone all the time which was pretty tedious). He saw the issue start happening around the same time I did.

1. did it also seem to correlate with iOS 5.1 for them?
2. is it AT&T specific?
3. is it iPhone 4 & 4S specific or does it apply to older iPhones running iOS 5.1?
4. is it only specific apps that access the data network (I regularly use Newsify, Mobile RSS, Flipboard so one of these may be causing the problem if it isn't a general networking issue)

Call logs bug in 5800?

On the latest firmware if you call up the call logs by clicking and holding the call button it shows the dialed numbers, but you can't switch to the recieved or the missed, it appears that the button should be clickable but simply does not recognize any input.

Several crazy bugs LP7/MBPro and apogee rosetta800

several wierd things:
all the following happens randomly in mid session after stuff "worked fine just a second ago"... so its not a problems with my settings...
- after working fine, punch on the fly do not record any signal although the input shows signal coming in. normal record(not by punching on the fly) still works fine.
(this issue happens only with certain tracks- not all, which makes it even more strange...).
- inputs 5-8 gives a message "invalid input setting". again, it worked just fine a second ago...
- inputs mixed up.for example, input 4 suddenly records signal that is actually coming from input 3.
- in a middle of a session suddenly a serious latency is introduced if monitoring through software. again, has nothing to do with buffer. it happens all of a sudden after it worked just fine a second ago...
im using macbook pro 2g. are these machines usable yet...? never had that problem on my G4.

are you sure you're working with at least logic 7.2 or later? earlier versions are not intel compatible and will behave very strangely, if they work at all.
otherwise, in general - yes, these machines are doing just fine with logic. apart from one or two intel specific bugs (export audio to movie doesn't work, for example), it's all working fantastically well here.

WRT600N - Needs several key bugs fixed...

This router does not have an "access point" mode. I am using it only for an access point. There is a key problem, the firmware retrieves the time from some predetermined time server on the internet. The router will not let you add a default route to the LAN interface. Therefore, you can not get the time accurate on the router. I was able to enter a 1/2 default route of 128.0.0.0 and I got lucky because the time server did fall into the correct half. It synced the time immeditely. Now for the second problem...
The timestamp used for the files on any of your shares is using the wrong time. I am on central time, and when you look at the STATUS of the router, it shows the correct time and then (GMT -6). But for some reason, all of the files being updated on the usb drive show 5 hours before the actual time. 11:50 PM CDT is timestamping 6:50 PM. The date is correct. Big bug here if timestamping of the files is important - like yea.
There are a few more issues I would like to see changed, but too lengthy to go into here.
Please let me know if someone that can help actually reads this post.

No more cards. Started rebuild with one secured card. At least you are not with credit one. It took a year to climb up to 600 (started May 2013). You might want to consider a secured installment loan, google Alliant credit unions. I have one going for 4 years with my own CU, Alliant is better.
The double whammy of building credit while cleaning reports pays dividends. No more store cards, very important. You only need two or three lines, and if you aren't paying auto, student or mortgage loan, then an installment loan is good idea.
PS, I see you have student loans, presume they are reporting. I was successful in PFD collections, and backdating charity care (if single, and your income under 23k, you can qualify). If you study enough, don't write letters. Just start calling the OC's, and tell them your plight. I was successful in removing medical collections falling off in 2018 and 2019. As of Jan 1, 2015, my reports were all clean.
Note, ex clean first, so got Amex with score jump. Then got chase when eq clean in January. It's best to wait for prime time until the reports are clean.
