RV220W to RV220W No Webpage Access

Senario:
Cisco Case # 620123711
Using QuickVPN from one RV220W to another RV220W I cannot access the Webpage of the remote router.  Goes to "CERTIFICATE NOT VALID" then click through that, and the the login page will not come up.  Sceen flashes a hint of blue background, then turns white, then just sits there saying "Waiting for response from ???.???.???.?.
QuickVPN will sucessfully connect and I can use all computers behind the router.  Just cannot access the Webpage of the remote router.  I can access the Webpage of the local router.
Also, when I hookup using QuickVPN from an "Internet Cafe" that is using a Netgear router.  I can then access the webpage on both remote routers (of course, depending on whom I QuickVPN'd into at the time).

I have called Cisco on this with no luck.  They said to update my JAVA.  I am currently JRE 6 Release 30 and still no luck.
The Log files reveal nothing and are darn near unreadable since there is no line breaks in the log file.  Have to manually edit the log to pick stuff out.
I do not want to try a site to site VPN till I get this situation resolved.
Any thoughts on the matter to help me resolve this will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Du-Rron

Hi Du-Rron,
Thank you for posting. Are you still seeing this issue? Have you set up a Gateway to Gateway VPN and if so, does the issue still exist?
The Log files reveal nothing and are darn near unreadable since there is no line breaks in the log file.  Have to manually edit the log to pick stuff out.
This is a known issue with IE.If you view the logs using Firefox or Chrome you will see that the logs display normally with line breaks.

  • Roaming between RV220W wireless router and WAP121 Access Point

Hello, I have recently purchased a RV220W wireless router and a WAP121 access point and i would like to allow my users to "roam" between the two networks as needed (so when the user is closer to whichever one they connect to that one since it has a better signal). For the most part I only have experience in cisco IOS and in actual routers not the wireless stuff so my knowledge has not exactly transfered over well.

    William,
WDS will not work between the RV220W and WAP121 due to incompatible chipsets. The RV220W can be repeated using WDS by another RV220W or RV180W only. You will need to plug the WAP121 into the RV220W or try WorkGroup Bridge mode to repeat the signal.
Regarding roaming, the router or AP are not aware of each other and do not have the capability to disconnect a client and help them connect to the AP with the stronger signal. The client will switch to the stronger AP only when the original signal is lost.
The Aironet (enterprise) devices have the ability to utilize a wireless LAN controller which can help keep devices connected to the stronger signal and allow truly seamless roaming between APs.

  • Unity Connection 7.1.3 user interface webpage access problem

I'm running Cisco Unity Connection 7.1.3.10000-68 on a vmware 1.0.8 platform in lab and I'm trying to access the user interface
"http//:<UnityPublisher Address>/ciscopca" and I get the web error message:
    HTTP Status 404 - /ciscopca
    type: Status report
    message: /ciscopca
description: The requested resource (/ciscopca) is not available.
I've checked that all the sevices are activated and I can't figure out why the user interface isn't working. Am I missing something or does Unity Connection on a VMWare platform not support access to the user interface webpage?
    Thanks,

    David,
I had it at 1024 and I bumped it up to 2048 and now it works.

  • TOMCAT4.0 / Webpage access

    Hi, All
I've downloaded TOMCAT4.0 and written a application using HTML/JAVASCRIPT/JSP using INSTANTDB to access a database. All this I've done on my local drive. And it works. My problem now is that I've uploaded all the programs to my ISP web space, but when I try to access my application all the code accessing the database does not work.
Q: Do I need to keep my application local and then people can access it on my local drive ? If I can keep it local. How do you as web-user access this application?
Do I need to run my TOMCAT sever all the time?
Q: Can I keep it on my ISP webspace but need to upload some additional software to make my database access working? Bucause it uses TOMCAT to access my INSTANTDB database how will I run it on my ISP?
    Any help would be appreciated.

C'mon ... someone please answer this. I believe it's a pretty good question. I have been wondering about this too. How does the web-hosting model works with database access, servlets, EJBs, etc.?

  • IPhone Safari Cache Query/Offline Webpage Access

    Hi,
OK so I'm thinking of getting an iPhone to replace my Windows based PCC phone.
One of the things I use most is my eBook reader which I know is not supported by the iPhone and I can't find any software that I can use at present.
I've had an idea and wanted to run it by anyone who can either try it or has an answer.
What I thought of was publishing my eBook as a single page on my home website. Then I could use Safari to access the book as a HTML page and read it from there.
My question is :- would I need to be constantly connected to the web (via Edge or Wifi) in order to read the book or could I just connect initially, have Safari cache the entire book as a web page and then read it 'offline'
I'm particularly interested in whether I could 'reload' the book page after closing Safari e.g would Safari load the cached page.
The books aren't very big, certainly less than a couple of meg so I'd hope Safari can cope.
I definately be looking to keep the entire book to a single page so Safari only has to cache it once.
    Any suggestings, views, comments appreciated.

    Yep, that did it. Thanks!
Must have turned it off or something...

  • Webpage access forbidden on edited/new uploaded pages

This problem began about six weeks ago, so I suspect a program update issue, something that changed the defaults.
    Dreamweaver CS 6, Version 12.0, Build 5861
When I create a new website page or edit an old one, frequently I get the following error when attempting to view the new page online (note this does not happen to ALL pages edited, which further muddies the possible cause). Someone else in the office, using an FTP program, can access a "permissions" file and change a bunch of checkmarks and eventually the page posts properly. I can't find the place within Dreamweaver to change these settings. Please help! This is driving me nuts. This is what I see when I attempt to look at the page I created this morning, http://www.amafca.org/projects/vdo-outfall.html. (Note that if that page works now, the response to this question and the steps taken were successful in resolving the problem. )
    Thanks.
    Access forbidden!

    1. Switch to the Remote Server view, and refresh to get the most recent view of all files and folders on the remote server.
    2. Right-click on the file in question, and go down to the "Permissions" setting.
    3. Change those as necessary.
"Permissions" doesn't appear on the right-click menu when you are in the Local View, which is how I usually have it set up.

  • RV220W Access Rules Failing - Requests Answered By Firewall

I have setup my RV220W with NAT rules and access policies to accept HTTPS and SSH requests on a web server. When I set the policies up the site works fine for a while and then the firewall itself begins to answer the requests instead of forwarding them onto the web server.
    Firewall WAN IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.218
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.248
I have a one to one NAT policy set up this way:
    Private Range Begin: xxx.xxx.xxx.32
    Public Range Begin: xxx.xxx.xxx.219
    Range Length: 1 Service: ANY
    ACL:
    Connection Type: Inbound > LAN
    Action: Always Allow
    Service: HTTPS
    Source IP: Any
    DNAT IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.32
    WAN IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.219
When I make a request to the site the Firewall WAN IP(xxx.xxx.xxx.218) will respond to the request instead of the web server IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.219).
I need help with this, please.

Update - I managed to get the firewall to pass the HTTPS requests by changing the remote management port to 60443 and changing the NAT rule from ANY to HTTP and adding access policies for the other ports. The problem now is that the firewall is not always passing SSH traffic.
Intermittently the firewall accepts the SSH traffic intended to go to the xxx.xxx.xxx.219 on xxx.xxx.xxx.218.
    NAT:
    Private Range Begin: xxx.xxx.xxx.32
    Public Range Begin: xxx.xxx.xxx.219
    Range Length: 1 Service: HTTP
    ACL:
    Connection Type: Inbound > LAN
    Action: Always Allow
    Service: HTTPS
    Source IP: Any
    DNAT IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.32
    WAN IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.219
    Connection Type: Inbound > LAN
    Action: Always Allow
    Service: SSH
    Source IP: Any
    DNAT IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.32
    WAN IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.219
I know that it is a bad idea to have SSH open on a public IP, but until I can get IPSEC VPN set up this is necessary. I'm not willing to start with the IPSEC setup until I can get the other rules to be stable.
One nightmare at a time, please.

  • Rv220w- content filtering ignoring firewall rules

    Hello,
I face a strange bahavior with my rv220w router : I set up access rules to deny all outbound trafic for a particular IP range. It seems to work fine .... but when I enable content filtering, HTTP  access on port 80 works again (and other ports are denied). It seems that activating content filtering makes the router ignore firewall rule. Bug ? Or did I miss someting ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,
I've opened case # 621056469. The support engineer told me that he'll try to reproduce the problem on his side, and contact me back for remote testing on my own router. If the issue is already known, does it have some kind of ref number so that I can inform him ? Is a fix already planned for  a future firmware release ?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Working with the old index webpage in new server system

I'm a newbie to OS X Server and having some trouble getting up to speed.  Also, this is an odd issue, so please bear with me.
I have a very old app on my iphone which would access some specific files I would store in the old OS X Sites folder, and access thru the default Index.html page.
I would edit Index.html, with specific links, and the app would be able to access and download the files.  This would be when the iphone was LAN connected, not over the normal web.
When I activated OS X Server, this old Apache webpage access went away.  So now I am trying to figure out how to have the app see my "new" website.
In the pass, I would type in the OS X webpage address, http://192.168.XX.XX/~USERNAME/, into the app.  It would open the page in safari.  I would then click on the link I created within the page to access and download the file.  The link was as follows: appname://192.168.xx.xx/~username/filename.  The app would reopen, and download the file.
I added an additional domain in server of just the computer ip, 192.168.xx.xx.  I also changed the Store Site Files In: to the old Sites folder, under my user name.  Now the old app is seeing and reading the index.html, but when I click on the link the app gives me a "cannot connect to server" error.
I know what I'm describing may be unclear, convoluted, odd, but what I'm looking for are some descriptions on how the access of the website changed from the old os to the new server, as a means of figuring out how to adjust the link lines to allow the app to access.  Also comments on how iphones and their apps no longer connect to the computer in the way they would and new steps I need to take to allow it.
The one thing I see is that the link didn't list the Sites folder under the username filder, meaning that the computer or Apache automatically looked for the webpage files in this folder.  Now I don't know what it's doing, where it's looking.
    Any comments greatly appreciated.

If you right click on your new index there is an option to make that the default. Then the delete option should be available on the old index.

  • 1.6.0_24 on XP worked now 1.6.0_29 on 7 doesn't work

I have a question for the community. I don't know everything there is to know about java, so please forgive me. Here it is: We are upgrading from 32bit winxp sp3 to 64bit Win7. We have to access certain Cisco managers, and we used to authenticate to them just fine using winxp and java version 1.6.0_24-b07. Now that we have "upgraded" to win7, we're using java version 1.6.0_29-b11 and we can't authenticate. I am not certain whether this is a win7 issue or a java issue. When we try to authenticate, we get a messsage that says "message from webpage, access denied insufficient privileges". The manager is remote and we are authenticating to the http server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

We have just upgraded the JRE to 1.6.0_29 which has added additional security and caused our part of our application fail.
    Try going to 1.6.0.27
    See release note for .29
    RMI Registry Issue
A bug in the rmiregistry command included in this release may cause unintended exceptions to be thrown when an RMI server attempts to bind an exported object which includes codebase annotations using the "file:" URL scheme. The RMI servers most likely to be effected are those which are invoked only by RMI clients executing on the same host as the server.
RMI annotates codebase information as part of the serialized state of a remote object reference to assist RMI clients in loading the required classes and interfaces associated with the object at runtime. Exported objects which are looked up in the RMI registry and invoked by RMI clients running on hosts other than the server are usually annotated with codebase URL schemes, such as "http:" or "ftp:" and these should continue to work correctly.
As a workaround, RMI servers can set the java.rmi.server.codebase property to use codebase URLs other than the "file:" scheme for the objects they export.

  • Drop-down menu items appearing all over screen ?

So i have a JSP webpage accessed by about 20 people. It has some drop-down fields for doing a search. After the search, the screen gets all messed up (this happens randomly and is hard to reproduce). It basically takes a drop-down menu's items and places them randomly across the screen.
I am not sure what is causing this, but if you have any ideas or suggestions, I will appriciate it. I am not posting any code yet, cuz i'm not sure where the problem is, or what it is?

  • Wireless Keeps Resetting?

    Hello,
I was able to successfully install the WRE54G Range Expander. My wireless laptops see "Excellent" now as far as signal strength and the connection is noticeably faster.
The problem I have is that every so often, the little wireless icon has a dot moving underneath and says it is attempting to connect. This is new. When I am online playing Runescape for example, it will boot me off. Again, this has just started to occur since I've installed the Range Expander. My kids have noticed it on their laptops as well.
Anyone have an idea why this behavior is occurring or where I should check? When I set it up, I turned off the wireless security, installed the product and then assigned it the security key and turned the wireless security back on my network. Again, everything seems to be working except for this reboot every so often.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Well, these are very strange observations. So I take it that you can still NOT ping the RE at 192.168.0.240 yet the link light is steady blue and the activity is blinking blue. And you feel that you are seeing the benefits of the RE (e.g. excellent signal). Well, the only thing I can think of is that the IP addys are not being given out right by your router. You do have DHCP enabled on the router, right? That means that the router will dynamically give out IP addys to devices on your network as they join the network. Try doing a complete power cycle of ALL devices on your network. Turn everything off. Power the router up first, then the RE, then everything else. Wait a couple of minutes between devices so that the network stabilizes.
Also, I hope that you can ping the router now that you can access the webpage. That would go completely against the laws of networking. It's really not that hard to understand but I agree that the RE is finicky and not easy to set up. It took me about a week a couple of years ago and that's why I consider myself "Luckydog"!
Edit: But you are using 192.168.0.240 for webpage access to the RE, right? Unfortunately, the RE defaults to 192.168.1.240 as the IP addy when you autoconfig. So you have to configure manually to get it to 192.168.0.240, e.g. connect with ethernet cable and do a static IP on the PC. Check out this resource for screenshots.
    http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_CASupport_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=116685984285...
Edit2: Yeah, that's prolly whats wrong. The RE is outside the range of your allowed network IP addy range. You have to set the RE addy to 192.168.0.240. So, not so strange anymore...

  • Why is the Mail app deleting mail from my account?

Hi. I have used the mail app before and when i used it (i have hotmail) i connected it and all, but it started to delete mail from my hotmail account from the mail app. I have the newset software and i heard that a new mail app came. Is this fixed? I do not want to lose any emails from my hotmail account.
    Thanks in advance!
    -RahulRana

My primary email account is with my ISP. Through their webpage access to my account, I have it set to forward all mail (without deleting it) to my MobileMe account. I have Mail set to acess my MobileMe account only. This allows me to get all my mail without any of it actually leaving the ISP's mailbox.

It's even available with a single click in Dreamweaver. Just
    select File

    completely
cross-browser, and automatically generates the Browser

The link is fine. I had a temporary problem logging onto my
    mail account
a little earlier, so it's possible that the server might have
    been down
    for a short while.

There is absolutely nothing for the innocent websurfer to
    worry about,
and everything for the PHP developer to guard against. The
    form is
entirely under the control of the user. The browse facility
    simply lets
the user select the file to be uploaded.
You, as the PHP developer, on the other hand, need to make
    sure that
what's being uploaded doesn't exceed a maximum size, that
    it's of an
acceptable MIME type, that it doesn't contain a script that
    attempts to
probe the file system on your server, and that it doesn't
    contain
offensive or illegal material. Letting unknown people upload
    files to
your server makes you vulnerable to a whole slew of malicious
    attacks.
You probably cannot eliminate all potential problems
    (particularly
regarding obscene or illegal material), but you can take a
    lot of
    precautions to minimize your risk.
