RV320 FW upgrade 1.1.1.06 = critical failure

Hello,
I have upgraded the router to your latest 1.1.1.06 firmware and after it reboots (which btw takes ages) it comes back with:
Critical failure. Please contact support.
Any idea on this? it is unusable now!?

Hi Walter
From your description, "Blinking green PWR LED and solid red DIAG LED is all I get", the device is still at boot loader phase. So you tried tftp method but doesn't work? Can you try again? you can use this tftp.exe (http://tftpd32.jounin.net/) to upload the firmware to 192.168.1.1. Below are some more details about the tftp upgrade.
1.power off
2.power on with pressing the reset button, wait for 10s, untill the diag LED turn red, and power LED keep flashing.
3.set lan pc to 192.168.1.100
4.use tftp client to put the firmware to device. Windows command for example: tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put RV32X_v1.1.1.06_20131206-code.bin. Or using other tftp client like "http://tftpd32.jounin.net/"
5.after tftp finish, the device will reboot by itself.
6.after startup, power led is on, diag led is off.

  • Option Icon 452 is causing a critical failure. Suggestions?

Option Icon 452 is causing a critical failure as soon as I put it into the USB slot.  It seems that loading the wrong drivers for it or thinking its something that its.
Each            time I put the 452 into the USB slot I immediately get an error in which the screen            takes on a shade of gray and a black box in 6 languages            appears saying "You need to restart your computer. Hold down            the power button until it turns off" - I cannot do anything            besides that and if I leave the modem attached and restart            the same error appears as soon as it boots up. Once I take            it off I'm able to restart normally again. Not sure what            that problem is but it seems rather critical.
I'm not having any other problems with my macbook and I have a friend who tested the Option iCon 452 on his macbook and had no problems. So I'm kinda muddled.
    thanks for any suggestions.

  • Cisco Secure Desktop access denied and critical failure errors

    Hi
Please can you assist me with the following Cisco Secure Desktop error.
    "Access Denied
Your system failed to be validated by the Cisco Secure Desktop and will not be granted access.
    Critical failure.
Cisco Secure Desktop must run and validate your system to proceed. Please verify your browser settings and configuration and retry."
Under "Weblaunch" Platform detection, Sun Java and Java Detection are ticked.  The other items are unticked.
    Thank you in advance.

I'm having the same problem with Lion 10.8.4
I've tried three different browsers with similar results.
    Firefox 22.0
    Chrome Version 27.0.1453.116
    Safari 6.05
Any ideas?  I know we have the Secure desktop set to scan for antivirus for all connections.  I know that my AV is on the list and supposedly compatible.

  • Time-out problems with RV320 (after upgrade from RV042)

    config:
    dual wan
    WAN1: 4G router (DHCP) - approx 25Mbit/ 8Mbit
    WAN2: PPOE (DSL) - 1 Mbit/ 0.2 Mbit
worked with a RV042 before and upgraded to a RV320 now.
    all other things are unchanged.
    3 problems - 2 solved/ not critical - one still open:
    a) not critical:  DHCP Status does not include all devices (changing view - but all-time problem)
I would suspect a software bug.... DHCP itself works perfectly/ IPs are assigned (just not shown in status)
    b) solved (at least for now):  internet connection featured time-outs; after many tries, disabling the SPI in the firewall helped
btw: this only happend for the WAN1 - WAN2 worked  (or is that slow that the additonal wait time did not matter ;-)
    c) very annoying: exchange connection (from Outlook client to external exchange) still has time-outs (mostly the whole mail client hangs/ ends to be restarted).
As soon as I disable WAN1, it works!  But it´s not the LTE WAN itself - switching back to the RV042 does not show the same symptom.
I tried: include IP into local DNS (in general I work with google DNS servers - but changing that does not help either), opening all traffic for teh realevant IPs and disabling the firewall completely.  no positive results....
    thanks for any hints....

I agree with you on a, probably a bug of some sort.
b is an issue I've seen before, and even on similar bandwidth (25/5) on my rv016.  What was able to figure out is that the carrier (ISP) is sending about 4k/sec of ICMP packets to the router, which in turn makes the router think it's under attack so it drops the connection.  As you can tell, disabling the SPI helps.  For me, putting another router in front of my rv016 (on 2 of 3 wans) was my only 'permanent' solution.
c sounds like there's a protocol binding/static route in the rv042 that you need to add to the rv320.  I'd check that first.

  • RV320 Firmware Upgrade Fail

I am trying to follow the directions on the release notes for Flashing PWR light and solid DIAG light (http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/routers/csbr/rv320/release_notes/rv32x_relnote_v1_1_1_19.pdf ).
I am getting Timeout occurred and connect request failed when I try to put the bin file onto the router using the tftp comd line.  windows 8.1 PC connected to Router RV320 in LAN 1.  PC set to static IP as mentioned in notes.  What am I doing wrong / how can I get the router up and running?
    HELP!

So after much searching I did find something which worked so I will share for the next one:
I opened two separate cmd prompts with admin access. Change directories to where the bin file is saved or save the bin file to the Windows\System32 file
In first cmd window typed PING -t 192.168.1.1 but did not press enter
In second cmd window typed tftp -i 192.1698.1.1 PUT RV32X_FW_v1.1.1.19.bin but did not press enter
Pressed enter on first window, then rapidly pressed enter on second window
Firmware uploaded to device on first try (though the site I found this on said it could take a few tries) - took about 10 seconds, router rebooted and I am now configuring it.  Let's hope after all this it actually does something for me!
    Moving on!

  • Firefox PT v3.5.3 upgrade to v5 Windows XP - uninstall failure and install failure

I am using Firefox Portuguese version. I have tried upgrading to version 5. The first step is automatic uninstall of version 3.5. Although the computer restarts v3.5 is not removed. I have tried to uninstal manually, through control panel, but this also does not work Any suggestions?

    Hi Rixander,
Thank you for your reply.  I do not think I have explained my questions well.
1/  I have run updates every morning.  This morning there were 2.
2/  I did not run the update that caused the error "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home                               Failed      Important    8/5/2015".
3/  What system or process caused this this entry?
Until I clearly understand what is going on, I am going to do nothing.  Window 8.1 is working well.
    Cheers,
Bob Rixander wrote:you can try again but i suggest you do a few at a time than all at once some of windows update may not work all at once because some of them in the group maybe done after you finished others and in some cases you need to restart your pc which you may not always get a restart and i would do that manually just to be in case i can get more MsUpdates"btw you can use this route - click on the start menu and select " settings " and you will see  " Update & Secruity " and select that and you can check your updates from Microsoft  good luck

  • Importing XML to Final Cut 7 - Critical Failure

    Hello!
I've been trying to import an XML file that another editing company gave to us and have been met with failure.  Tried to do it twice and got the same message both times:  "xml translation aborted due to critical error".
The client used Adobe Premiere Pro, and the XML file in question seems to have the COLOR logo on it.  I assume that they put it through color and then sent us the XML.
We should have all the media needed; they gave us a duplicate copy of the drive they worked off of.
I don't really have much experience at all with XML, so any help is appreciated.
I took a screen capture of the error log; hopefully I can attach this.
    System info:
    Mac Pro 5,1
    16GB RAM
    Final Cut 7
    System 10.6.8

You're asking a lot of an XML.
    Something to try:
select all clips and copy them. create a new timeline with the same sequence properties. make sure CTI is at beginning and paste.
in this new sequence, select a clip that has not had speed changed (100%). right click on it and select copy properties. select all clips and paste properties.
BE ADVISED THAT THIS WILL CHANGE ALL CLIPS TO THE SAME PROPERTIES AS THE ORIGINAL.
this may reset all your In & Out points to their proper duration. if so, you can then adjust the timing of the requisite clips as necessary.
For best results using XML files, there should be NO: effects, dissolves, "black slugs," audio mixing or anything other than a plain vanilla straight cut.

  • Upgrade from RH10 to RH11 - cpd, failure to Close, failure to Import PDF Comments

Hello, am looking for help with a recent conversion of a project that has been upgraded from RH8-9-10 and now trying to go into 11. Apparently when going from 10 to 11, the author had similar issues to what I am having now and had to rebuild the entire project using existing files off the published version. Issues are: cpd error message; project won't Close Project, Close, or Exit (requires Task Manager); and it will not Import Comments from PDF. On our first attempt to upgrade, we experienced more and more lost topics (had an X on them in the TOC) and finally all files were like that. Reverted to 10 at that point. Have tried removing cpd / xpj / double-clicking the hhp (?) and a few other things. Any help appreciated! Thank you.

Before upgrading, try running Tools > Update DHTML effects in topics just to make sure.
Make sure all files are writable and that you remove the CPD before trying to upgrade.

  • After upgrading to ML, now a RAM Failure

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro. I use it for my business in a retail store.  I upgraded it 2 months ago from 4gb to 8gb RAM.  I even made sure the RAM was compatible.  It is not made by Apple (RAM).  Today I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and the computer won't turn on.  When I try, it makes 3 loud beeps continuously.  I tried to re-seat the RAM, with no luck.  If i put the old 4gb (2  2GB sticks) RAM in, the computer boots fine and Mountain Lion runs.  If I try to return to the upgraded RAM, it will not boot but give me a RAM failure audible beep.  The 4GB is TOO SLOW!  I'd rather have 8GB of RAM running on Lion then 4GB running on Mountain Lion.  Has anyone had this issue or have any suggestions?  I NEED this computer for my business and its SUPER important.  I actually use it as my register.  PLEASE!!

    TravisCarterNY wrote:
I can't tell if its Value RAM or just regular.  It doesnt say Value on it.  As for an update, I have reset the PRAM and SMC with no luck.  The only thing that does work, is leaving (1) of the old 2 GB sticks in with (1) of the new 4GB sticks.  This for some reason works and the machine is testing OK with 6 GB of RAM.  However, once I try to place the other new 4 GB stick in for the complete 8GB upgrade, I get the 3 Beep RAM failure on startup.  Anyone have any ideas ?
Yes, return the Kingston Ram and order from www.crucial.com or www.macsales.com, reports of problems with Kingston Ram are commonplace.

  • LG Intuition upgrade today...app issues, failure notifications constantly, Google Play broken, missing widgets...etc  PLEASE FIX!!!

I upgrade my LG Intuition VS 950 today and now I'm getting constant app failure notifications, Google Play won't open, missing widgets, picture frame won't let me select a folder.  Probably a lot more but haven't played around with it too much.  Too many error messages.  Frustrated!  Please resolve.

I have two LG Intutions and had the same problem with both devices, not only did the upgrade stop some of the apps from working but it deleted the CAMERA and all the pictures, CONTACTS, and other apps on the phone aren't even on the phone anymore. Google Play is not working and I'm unable to open up Gmail. Backup assistance is not working to retrieve anything and when i logged on to the verizon website to view the backed up data it was empty. This problem needs to be fixed immediately. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!

  • Reader 9.3 critical failure

I recently had the auto updater install reader 9.3 on my system and after a reboot acrobat reader simply will not function on any level.
The update seems to have caused corruption to other windows functions as a few in house apps, daemon tools, and steam are having crashing issues. These issues can only be the result of this software update as no other change to the computer took place before these errors began to pop up.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe 9.3 in safe mode - No effect. Reader fails to open with the message "Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL"
I have rolled back to 3 restore points before the update - No effect. Reader fails to open with the message "Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL"
I have manually deleted and then used windows uninstall before attempting reinstallation - No effect. Reader fails to open with the message "Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL"
What could possibly have been changed in this update to cause such a sudden and massive failure of applications which have nothing to do with PDF files?

    pwillener wrote:
"Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL" literally returns thousands of hits on Google.  I have looked at some, but very few offer any insight.  Two possibilities
your antivirus software or firewall may prevent the Reader installation from completing.  Try to disable before attempting to reinstall.
after uninstalling, try to delete all Adobe Reader references from your Program Files\Adobe and Program Files\Common Files\Adobe (but not in the registry).
    Dod this work?

  • Puter suffered a critical failure.  My new laptop WIN 8 and I lost my Acrobat 9.0.

How do I get a new serial number from Adobe?  Or will I have to purchase a new version of acrobat?

Serial numbers are on your account - if you ever bothered to register or bought a download - or on your original install media. Refer to this:
    Find a serial number
If you have a serial, downloads are here:
Direct Download Links for Adobe Software
You should expect some issues on Win 8, though. Other than that: No serial, no activation. Adobe doesn't know what you don't know and indeed you wil lthen have to buy a new license.
