RV325 DHCP static address list and duplicates in unknown IP & MAC Binding List Table
DHCP Manual Bindings are entered and are displayed correctly in the IP & MAC Binding Table.
The error is that there are duplications of the IP address in the Unknown MAC Address List and hitting the Refresh button does nothing.
These duplicates remain in the Unknown table forever. Only a reboot of the router really refreshes the Unknown table.
Any suggestion?
The problem has been solved.
All the settings are apparently stored in the open directory database. I had to enable system records and viola there was the extra entry complete with MAC address and IP address.

By the way, into SAP OSS note "1565230 - dump after merging of BPs in IC webclient" it is written that it is not supported to integrate Business partner merge functionality to IC webclient.

Reason and Prerequisites:
It is not supported to integrate Business partner merge functionality to IC webclient. Technically after the merging of Businss partners, the buffers of business transaction will be initalized at API layer directly, instead of by Genil layer. It is not possible to synchronize the buffer to BOL layer. Once you access to the business transaction which has been initialized during the merging of Business partners, the dump will occur.
Solution:
It is required to move the functionality to the business roles for
backoffice scenario, for example, SALESPRO etc.

Sometimes my ipod does not down load my entire library when I sync up with itunes, even if I have items loaded in the play list and can see them in the play list in my itunes when I check my ipod play list some items are missing part 1 will be there but part two is not. Why?????
How is your iPod configured to sync music from your iTunes library? In other words, what options and configurations do you have enabled from under the iPod's Summary and Music configuration panes in iTunes?

Multiple address books and duplicate contacts issue
Hi all!
I set up two email accounts in my BB, one is GMail and the other is Yahoo! Both address books are synchronized to the BB too.
Since I already had contacts in my BB list and now contacts coming from GMail and Yahoo!, there are now some duplicate entries (i.e. the same person name coming from BB contacts list and from Yahoo!).
Is there any way to automatically/programatically clean up, merge or hide the duplicated entries? Ideally, each contact should be shown only once with the data merged from the different sources.
Thanks in advance for your help to figure this out!!!In your Address Book options, set it to not include duplicate names (And the names have to exactly alike), then use your Yahoo or Gmail address web accounts to delete the duplicates. That's one way.
Another would be to export all your contacts to something like an excel spreadsheet, edit and resync back to the device. You'll need Desktop Manager to do this.

RRAS 2012 - Cannot Change IPV4 From DHCP -- Static Address Pool
Have set up RRAS/DA 2012 and it works but I need to change from using our DHCP server to a static address pool. However, when I go to RRAS server properties & IPv4 tab the section to opt for DHCP/Static is dimmed out.
Any suggestions to get around this annoyance so I can use static address pools for remote users?

I just sent an email to to 50 people and would like to save those email addresses as a list in Thunderbird.
How do I do that?
And how do I save an address List in Thunderbird in an Excel spreadsheet? (I can do the reverse -- copy a column from Excel into a New List and it will create a List.)
I am involved in a nonprofit and these issues are very important in terms of managing email mailings, etc.

Any contact in an address book which has a valid email address, can be placed in a Mailing List.

Then in the header of an email you sent where it says TO and lists the contacts.
click on one of those email address/contact name and from the drop down selection choose:
'SAve recipients addresses' > 'as list(all)'
A pop up appears with all the names listed
make sure you have selected the correct address book under which the list will appear.
give the list a name
click on OK
You should then see a sub list under the selected address book in 'Address Book'.
You can save any address book.
Select the address book
Tools > Export
choose where to save
Give filename
Save as type 'comma separated .csv
click on Save,
This csv file can be opened by Excel -
I appear to have done what I should to move to iCloud on my Mac, MacbookAir, iPhone and iPad. Using Outlook 2011 on the iMac and unable to sync contacts between Outlook and my Apple Address Book and iPhone over the cloud. I gather lots of people have the same problem but some appear to have solved it... any ideas?
Also, in some sync, I managed to duplicate the entries on the Address Book on my Mac, whereas the iCloud Address Book is ok. How can I replace the Address Book on my computer with the one on iCloud?
Thank You for any help!Hi Lucy, I had the same problem with Outlook data sync. Once you've enabled iCloud all your contacts are moved to iCloud and are no longer stored on Mac, that's why Outlook cannot reach them - there is simply nothing to reach as data physically stored in cloud.
I use SyncMate to solve this problem. This app allows connecting and syncing numerous devices and accounts with your Mac and they have recently added iCloud into this list (here the page where they describe sync with iCloud http://www.sync-mac.com/cloud-sync.html ).
This is how I established sync of my Outlook data with iCloud via this app.
1. SyncMate syncs only that data which is located on your Mac so you will need to move your contacts back to Address Book on mac from iCloud and disable iCloud for contacts (in order they were stored on Mac, not in iCloud).
2. You install SyncMate and add iCloud as a new connection (depending on data you want to sync you need to choose "Cloud contacts" or "Cloud calendars" connection in SyncMate wizard and log into your iCloud via SyncMate). Once you've done this, you can sync data on Mac with iCloud via SyncMate.
3. I may assume that automatic sync option is enabled in Outlook preferences (as previously your contacts on Mac were synced with Outlook). If no - please, enable it (got to Outlook preferences).
4. Once all this done, data will be automatically synced betwen Outlook and iCloud (latter via SyncMate). The trick of SyncMate is that data is physically located on your Mac (thus ensuring it will be synced with other devices and accounts SyncMate supports, as I said before, SyncMate works with data which is located on Mac), but you still can have it in iCloud (sync will be performed via SyncMate, no need to enable iCloud itself).
5. And of course, you will be able to sync your iPhone contacts with your Mac (SyncMate supports sync with iPhones also). These contacts will be also synced to Outlook. -
Windows 2008 DHCP Server Address Range and Exclusion Range

I have a couple of Doubts regarding DHCp windows 2008 server
1) The DHCP server is given a static Ip in a network series eg(192.168.1.x) starting Ip is 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 ,
and if the range is from 192.168.1.10 to 1.250 ,
Should the DHCP server be not given an Ip in the DHCP range specified ?
ie the DHCP server static IP should not be in the 192.168.1.10-192.168.1.250 , ( I have given as 192.168.20.5)
Even though the Exclusion range can be specified , Just want to know if this is best practice.
2) And next setting up the range , should we give the entire network address as range ( eg 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254) and set exclusion range
or take a particular series (eg 192.168.10-100)

Anand MYour DHCP server range should update automatically to the 192.168.0.x subnet when you change your "Local IP address" to 192.168.0.1. Be sure to use a computer that is wired to your router when you do this. Also, be sure to click on "Save Settings", then wait (3 to 60 seconds) for the screen to refresh. You will likely be disconnected from the router when you do this. Do not worry about this. Power down the router and your computer.
Next, wait 30 seconds, then reboot router and computer. Your Local IP address and the DHCP server range should now have the same subnet. -
I have been using my apple TV with my amc book air with no problems. Today I turned the apple TV on and got no icon on my air. I made sure that the Apple TV was on airplay which it was and used preferences/display to hook up the Mac book Air but no recognision. Now what?

RRAS 2012 With DHCP Works, Cannot Get Static Address Pool To Connect Completely

I have set up RRAS/DA 2012 successfully incorporating my AD DHCP server. Every connection works and I see all networks that I have VPN tunnels set up with, which is totally cool. However, I want to assign remote VPN users IP's from a
static address pool - and while the setup completes without issue and the client connects, I can see absolutely nothing. No good pings, no connect to Lync client, Outlook, etc. etc.
I am OBVIOUSLY missing something but have no idea what that is. Do I need to add something (and I really have no idea what that "something" is) to RRAS config so the static address pool (192.168.40.0 in this case) has the same access as
the AD DHCP pool does?

I already have VPN tunnels between the main locations and a VPN user can see ALL of them when it gets an IP from DHCP. Are you saying that I have to add routes to all the routers/firewalls to accomplish this?
Or would I use IPv4 Static Routes? A network I'd like access to is 192.168.14.0 /24. Would the route look like any of these? Sorry it's not clear what I would use as the gateway (192.168.2.1 is the RRAS server network gateway, 192.168.2.6

Since I will only use it once a year, I am looking for a free download that will allow me to create a small (80-100 names and addresses) database AND print out mailing labels from that list. I used to have FileMaker Pro 6 and it worked beautifully. However, it is not compatible with my new operating system - Mavericks - and I am not willing to spend $180 for the necessary upgrade to FileMaker Pro 12, especially since I will only be using it once a year. I have Numbers, which works for my other databases, but it is not designed to print labels. Help!
You could create a Christmas list group in Contacts, and use the File > Print facility in Contacts that supports Avery Mail Labels in the layout tab. Simpler and cheaper than learning a database.

Managed List and Book of Business
I have created a managed list based on the My default lookin sector which is a particular Book of Business.
This list works fine. Now the users would like the same list, but to include only those in the Book of Business where they are the a true owner of the account. I cannot seem to find a way to make this work. Is there some type os session variable I can use to code User equal to User signed in? I cannot find any documentation on this.
If I change the list to show all accounts I own, then accounts not in the Book of Business show up.
Any ideas?That will certainly work in this case. However, I'm just concerned that if we have some complex criteria for a BoB that is would be hard to duplicate in the managed lists and concerns of future maintenance of the list when the books change.
I'd like to see that ability built into the list facility, where I could select the book of business and then also select the accounts I own. Think this would be cleaner and less headaches.

SP Designer 2010 - Saving custom list form impacts other list and other custom list form
Hi,
I have a source list, with custom display, edit and new forms all of them created in SP Designer 2010. These do nothing fancy, just for presentation purposes, fields were re-arranged in 2 columns.
Then I created a target list by saving the source list as template, the template brought over all customizations, all seemed to work fine. So I started to modify the target custom list forms.
Now here's the problem:
After a while making changes to the target list I realized that somehow the custom list forms on the source list had been modified... so I opened the source list in designer and noticed that the out of the box forms: NewForm.aspx, DispForm.aspx, EditForm.aspx
were now the default forms for the source list, and I couldn't pick my custom list forms to be the default forms for the source list anymore, they were not on the listbox. I could still see them by going in designer to All Files > Lists > SourceList
> and if I previewed them, they were empty.
I believe that somehow source and target list are linked, but why would designer allow making changes to the source list? like resetting the default forms, and breaking up the custom list forms that were in place?
I've verified list id's in the custom list forms of the target list and they belong to the GUID of the target list. I don't see anything else that could potentially point to the source list.
SharePoint Designer 2010 version: 14.0.7007.1000 SP2 14.0.7015.1000 I don't think this matters much because I've tried with other SP Designer 2010 versions and the error is the same.

When I create a custom EditForm1.aspx and set as default for a source list, then save this list as a template, then the newly created the target list based off this saved template, the source list still uses the custom EditForm1.aspx form as default
form, from SharePoint designer, I can see these two lists have different listID, so they have no connection when I edit any one of them.
Please recreate a new list with custom form page and save as template, then create a new list see if this issue could be reproduced, or we can create a new list instead if it is an isolate issue.

Agree with your point. I can't use any code (that is client requirement). Also, still I use, I can't use it in this scenario. I want to display most visited lists and libraries (in last month or lifetime). I can use managed properties such as ViewsLifeTime
and ViewsRecent to sort it If i get the names of lists and libraries. Let me know if this clarifies the question more and you have an idea about it. -
Tag files, Lists, and object typing
I'm passing a list of objects to a custom tag, created via a tag file.
I can access object properties in the jsp page like this -
<c:out value="${listOfItems[0].property}" />
but inside the tag it doesn't work. It understands that its being passed a list and the number of items in the list but not the type of objects in the list. I think I need to declare the type of object that the list is returning but I'm unsure of th jstl way of doing this.

thanksJSTL uses introspection/reflection to call methods/access properties.
It doesn't have to know the type of object in the list.
How are you accessing this object in your tag file? Using EL again? That should work fine. If you use java/scriptlet code then you will need to cast the object.
Have you declared the attribute that is being passed in? What type are you expecting? Default is String unless you specify otherwise.
