RWB in SAP XI in simple manner

hi i want to know the details of RWB in SAP XI ,any one send me the document  ,that should be in simple language

Hi Surya,
In SAP XI there is Runtime Workbench(RWB) for component monitoring, msg monitoring, alert configuration etc......
so basically by RWB you can monitor your XI system - for the msg coming and going out of XI, the communication channels which you have made have any error or not this you can see in Adapter monitoring, you can configure alerts for your scenarios to get alerts if any error occurs in your scenario, you have alert inbox to get your alerts.......so you can do end to end monitoring of your XI scenarios through RWB.

  • ADD Splash Screen to the SAP B1 DE  Simple Installer.

can i add a Splash Screen to the SAP B1 DE Simple Installer ?
if yes how to do it.
when i deploy my addons i want the installer to accept an installation serial & install the addons only if the serial key entered in valid.
has someone done this thing before or can someone help me in doing this.
    thanks in advance
    Ketan Joshi

    Hi Ketan,
You can add as many screens as you like in the simple installer. You only need to open the generated project and add you screen as the other steps already there. To desing your screen you only have to manage with .NET windows design.

  • "Send Test" option RWB in SAP PO

    Hi Expert,
I am not able to see "Send test" option in the RWB in SAP PO 7.4 like we used to have in SAP XI/PI 7.1, SAP PI 7.31. So, could you please help me to get to know where it in SAP PO 7.4 so that I can do testing myself.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

What is your SP Level ??
    It's available from SP07 What's new in SAP Process Orchestration 7.31 SP12 / 7.4 SP07

  • Error while opening RWB in SAP XI 3.0

    Hi Guys,
I am working on SAP XI 3.0.
Whenever i am opening RWB,it is giveing me error : htmlbMessageBar is undefined
Because of this error i am not able to see component of monitoring.
Please let me know if above error is because of any internet explorer setting or something else.
    Regards,
    Monika

    Hi,
Try accessing the RWB using different internet browser and check. I think if you use Mozilla firefox or IE6 it should work.
Have a look at this note 981710.
Use of IE7 is not supported before SP19 on XI3.0 and SP10 on NW2004s. (if you are using IE7)
    Which browser are you using??
What is the service pack on the XI Server?
    regards

  • SAP Business Connector : Simple Test

    Hi Folks,
Before I start , let me mention here that I am completely new to BC . And my requirement (I think) is also very simple.
I have installed the business connector developer in my pc , and the BC server connection to SAP server is also working alright.
My requirement is very simple , I want to pass a XML document to sap server . It is just a simple test as I am not going for any middleware setup etc.
I just want to send this XML document to SAP for testing . I have tried by creating a "Flow" which expects a XML document but somehow it does not seem to work .
Kindly let me know if possible the manual steps for sending XML doc to SAP.
    Thanks in Advance....

You may use the standard developer's guide example to configure your scenario.
Suppose you have File to RFC scenario.
    1. First create a structure for file system. This should be created as a Record in BC. Import the RFC structure too in BC.
    2. There is a standard ftp service (I guess in WmPublic package) which should be the first flow step of your flow service.
    3. Then use map steps to map the Records of file structure and Idoc.
    4. Then you may use imported RFC flow step to call RFC.
    5. At server, you need to define to routing rule from SAP BC -> R/3.

  • Connection from DP to SAP PI 7.11 via SOAP/https failed

    Hello Guys,
we have a problem with connection from DP to SAP PI via SOAP/https.
DP send a request and get a timeout. timeout is 2 or 3 minutes.
DP and SAP PI authentificated with certificates.
    Our Problems:
    DP get now failure code
in commnication channel monitoring in RWB from SAP PI I see no entry, no error
in java default trace I see no error.
What could be the Problem? What must we configure for https communication via SOAP Adapter?
Which Log get me some information?
    Thanks and regards
    Martin

    Hi Neetesh,
I have check all, but it resolved not my problem.
I will describe my scenario again:
    scenario:
syncronous request from system A over DataPower ->SAP PI to SAP system.
communication DataPower to PI: SOAP over https
DataPower located in other network zone.
    port is activated in firewall.
    called URL from DataPower:
    https://<host>:5<instance number>01/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?
    channel=:<business system>:<interface>
    Problem:
authentication looks like ok. No error in ICM Trace, in default java
trace login from DataPower IP-adress ok.
but no message is to see in the communication channel.
no message in the adapter engine, no message in the integration engine
DataPower get a timeout. (Timeout 2  minutes)
we find no error, but also no message
What could be the error? And where find I some information in SAP PI.
    Thanks and regards

  • Can we Automate User Creation in SAP IDES?

    Hey Guys,
I found this piece of information on Internet somewhere.
"SAP provides a simple user creation mechanism for IDES system. An enhancement is already active by the name USRADMIN this contains code that executes just after the user logon. If somebody logs on as 'MUSTER' with password 'IDES' it prompts to create a user. and after the creation MUSTER is logged off. If the password of MUSTER is changed the program also reset the password to IDES always. the password is hard coded in the code
For this to be active an entry has to be maintained in the table zides_user_procc . In this table we maintain the SAP system SID, client where this functionality is to be active and also maintain the reference user which will be copied to the new user ."
    *bol

It was a while back, but the logic was like this:
User logs into webpage on intranet.  Lets just say that authentication to that resource is dealt with separately here.
User is presented with a form and fills in info like
    UserID required
    FirstName
    LastName
    email address
    Password
This info is used by some backend VB code which initialises an RFC connection with SAP.
Once RFC is established, a function module to copy an existing template user is executed (template user contains roles to copy etc).  The new user is created as required and you can then log on & use it.
To be honest, most self service sandbox systems tend to be the log in using existing user & create yourself a user or run a prog which will do it for you.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers
    Alex

  • I have used SAP doc mgmt for years. We copied a client and now when I configure a Class to my DMS DIR and go to CV01n Additional Data NONE of the characteristic entry boxes show up. Additional Data is blank.

I have used SAP doc mgmt for years. We copied a client and now when I configure a Class to my DMS DIR and go to CV01n Additional Data NONE of the characteristic entry boxes show up. Additional Data is blank.
It appears there must be some high level setting missing in the client. I have checked all authorizations and cannot find a difference between this client and all of the other clients we have. Only this one client does not show the class characteristics in the Additional Data tab.
Any ideas of why this standard function is not working). It does not matter which DIR I config the 017 class to, nothing shows on Additional Data.

    Hi,
The issue is resolved. We are working in a sandbox with Class configuration on a DMS issue related to standard class 017. There are no standard settings in SPRO - Cross-Application Components | Maintain Object Types and Class Types | for the object type DRAW that will allow "auto-populating" characteristic values as we do with VC class 300.
For whatever reason DRAW and class 017 are not configured by SAP in the same manner as class 300 for example.
We made a config entry for DRAW Class 017 VBAP. Let's just say the system did not like that.
    We are exploring other options.

  • ABAP Mapping - Can it be made simple?

    Hey mates,
I'm looking at the ABAP mapping option for transforming source format to target format. I see that we need to have class implementing IF_MAPPING and implement the method EXECUTE and then parse the source message, process it and render the target message. And, here I dont have the data in the form of an internal table which is easy for processing..rather I've to use methods like "get_elements_by_tag_name", "get_item ( index = x)" etc.
Why cant SAP make it simple...in the sense.. similar to the way inbound & outbound proxies are handled?
In  inbound proxies, I dont have to worry about parsing the incoming message...I readily have it in data dictionary structures and table types.
In outbound proxies, I dont need to bother about rendering the XML message, I can pass my data dictionary structures & internal tables the EXECUTE_(A)SYNCHRONOUS method.
Are there any disadvantage of this approach? What do u say folks?
    thx in adv
    praveen

    Hi Praveen,
u ll get a stream in a abap mapping, not a deep structure like in proxys. U cant use proxy functionality 4 mapping, as proxys only can use XI protocoll, a abap mapping has more power. It is ur decision 2 use the DOM parser, it is not required. U can search and replace fields with easy string operations - if u like.

  • How to enable viewing of payload for receiver RFC adapter in RWB

    HI All,
We can see the payload of all adapters in RWB by clicking on the message link under component >> adapter monitoirng. However when i click on message link for receiver RFC adapter, it does not show any payload. How can I enable this payload?
    Regards

    Hey
Sync messages are Cached rather than persisted in RWB to save memory.
You need to change the following parameter in Visual admin to see sync messages in RWB
    Service SAP XI AF Messaging:
    messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody = false
its set to True by default hence it does not stores the messages.
You may have to restart the Java stack after the changes (but first try without restarting the Java stack).
    Thanks
    Aamir
Pl:You will see the sync messages in Message Monitoring in RWB (not sure if it will show up in Communication channel monitoring as well)

  • Remote connections in SAP support portal time out

Hello, we are having a problem opening connections to our systems in the support portal and would appreciate any help and direction.  This is probably a problem with our SAPRouter or firewall configuration but have been unable to identify where that problem is, and we are working closely with our network folks to try to correct.  We are able to download OSS notes through SNOTE and all of the RFC's work correctly but we can't seem to keep a connection open to allow SAP support to login to our systems.  The connection appears to open for about three minutes but then gives the error "Host did not respond 1-9 times" then the connection shows cancelled after about 18min.  We have had a high priority incident open with SAP for the last couple of weeks but haven't got much response from them.  SAP has the IP addresses of our SAPRouter and VPN correct and the routestring is correct.
    SAPRouter = 216.253.195.169
    VPN = 216.253.195.170
    Routestring = /H/colo-sap-router.insummit.com/S/3299
We are able to ping SAP(194.117.106.129) from the saprouter server successfully.  A few things I have read indicate that a simple test is that you should be able to telnet to SAP(ip above) on the configured port, 3299 but this we are not able to do and we've told this to SAP, we can telnet to port 21 but not 3299.
SAPRouter is on a Windows 2008 server OS using VPN.  Attached is our saprouttab file.
Also attached is a trace.out file, and dev_rout file.

  • JCO or SAP Connector Framework

    Hello
I have seen in these links that JCO is deprecated:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/40/003c41325fa831e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

Developers are supposed to use SAP Connector Framework, but it seems that this is a Framework only useful from a Portal Application. What I want to do is to invoke RFCs in a R3 System from a webapp using struts. I have done this using JCO.
Should I implement it using another solution?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Marcos,
You can, of course, use SAP JCO in simple Java Project by importing needed Jars.
I provide you a sample of connection class with method that you can use for calling a function.
You can use method "showFunctionParameters()" to test your connection...

  • Phased SAP implementation - Quick qestion

    Hi,
We are having a phased implementation for the plants in SAP and BI is also going live at the same time. Only few plants are going live at the time of Go-live and the rest of the plants will be implmenting SAP in a phased manner. BI needs to give the reports for the plants with and with out SAP implementation. Can any one give me suggestions how we can acquire the data from the plants which have not implemented SAP and combine both the data and publish the reports.
Please keep in mind tht there is no point in creating one for SAP and another Infocube for legacy data, as this will be phased out. I want to be able to combine the data only at the report level

    Hi Tanu:
The InfoCubes in SAP BI can contain information from different Sources. Probably you would need to load the data from the Plants without SAP via flat files, once those Plants implement SAP you make the switch to load the data from SAP instead of the flat files.
    Regards.
