RWD Add-on for Help Launch pad

Hi All,
I am in the process of configuring RWD uperform 4.4. For enabling the help launch pad, is it required to implement both the RWD add-on and abap transport in the sap system.
I believe in the previous versions, only abap transport was provided.
Kindly some one let me know the exact purpose of the RWD add-on and abap transport for help launch pad.

I am new to SPP Help Launchpad, I have downloaded the installation files, what i need is file for system ECC 6.0 direct install for 4.4, i have installed SPP 4.3 server before but have not yet install the help launchpad, now the SPP 4.3 is upgraded to SPP 4.3. And the help launchpad is new to install. What i get from the download package, it contains:
>Installation Files>700
>>4400_700_Direct
>>>E6D0020168204_0000038.PAT <------- I think this is what i need to use for the system
>>4400_700_fr_4300_4100_4000_3000
>>>E6D0020168204_0000039.PAT
>>ex_620_640_to_700_for_4400

But I have no idea of importing / transporting to the SAP system.
I saw previously posts to transport help launchpad with SAINT, but it needs CAR/SAR files, so how can i transport the .pat file?
Can you give me more instructions on that?

We have a custom help setup using RWD info pak in SAP. Now there is a web redesign and the web people want to change the path to the files uploaded in the help launchpad and also delete some of the transactions. What impact would it have on SAP if such transactions are deleted and what would be the time and effort involved. I am talking about more than 100 transactions here.

We have a problem RWD info pack.We installed RWD info pack 5.6 but search not working.If search any t code or doc it show no item.but we have add some doc in this.when we go through route it show doc.but when we search it show nothing.

How do you add icons to Launch Pad

I just installed Lion and want to add icons to the Launch Pad, removing them from the dock. How do I do that? And, will it work with icons of apps that are not purchased from the App Store?

I am back. I have now sorted out my Launch Pad to be organized the way I want it. I have decluttered my Dock. Very nice.
Now I want to add some of the remaining icons for apps that did not automatically show up in Launch Pad. So, again, how do I do that?

KM Collaboration Launch Pad Problem

Hi , I am using EP6 .
The Portal shows link for Collaboration Launch Pad but whenever i click over it the following error is occuring:

KM Collaboration Launch Pad Error

Hi all,
I am working with EP 6.0 .
The portal shows link for Collaboration launch Pad.
Whenever i click on that link, i get following error message.

RWD Info Pak Launch pad.

We are using this product Info Pak to create our BPP's and now want to make this documentation avaiable in the SAP Help context. I've been told that this is possible using the Launch Pad feature of Info Pak.
I do not see this available with our installation.
Does anyone have experience with this product or know where I can find information on how to insert the documentation?

Hi Den!
There are 3 types of installs available when you first install RWD Infopak--> author install, admin install and all install.
If you have the author install on your system, then you won't be able use the Launchpad feature. Only the admin & all installs have the Launchpad & Web Architect which are primarily used to build a website. I can send you the user manuals for Launchpad & Web Architect to your personal email if you want.

Bought a mac for my sons bday present of eBay :( it starts up in osx utilities screen, iv never seen the actual desktop(launch pad) I dnt know how to access the systemI know the basics for start up but says to delete files so I can dwnload the software?

AS above states the computer seems to run normally as far as turning it on, tabs & pages are fine. But I can't access the system to delete some files.. Which is what the 'error' keeps saying everytime I tr and download a helpful link/app or software.. The instal disc that seems to be stored on the comp says its mountain lion 10.8 install disk 'read only' & this is the only disc it gives me to select to startup.. I have the full software on USB as its very large.. So .. PLEASE TELL ME finally,
HOW to ... Access comp files to delete required memory for software install?? If this is the best option..
HOW to ... Erase everything on computer & install 10.8 via USB?
And when or what enables me to see and use this computer correctly..ie, launch pad? Etc..

First: no, you cannot use someone else's install DVD unless it is a retail version; all others are machine specific. It will not work and would be illegal.

IF that is correct, then you are not on 10.8 because the highest OS it can go to would be 10.6
So, you'd either need the original install disks (preferred) or buy a retail Snow Leopard (10.6) - that is as high as you can go with that machine. And, your maximum RAM is 2 GB, so you couldn't go higher with the OS because of that either because it would not run well on 2 GB.
If you do get 10.6, then I'd suggest increasing the RAM to the max. of 2 GB.
If this is not the machine you got (maybe the seller just used any old box), then I'd suggest taking it to an Apple store/Genius Bar to have them sort out how to get out of this mess.

Changing the LiveCycle ES4 Launch Pad Output Folder for PDF Conversion

I have an instance of Adobe Live Cycle ES4 on WebSphere installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server. We're leveraging the Launch Pad desktop GUI as a PDF conversion tool for our end users. The document to PDF conversion functionality is working great but the converted PDF files are automatically being stored on the end user's "AcrobatHub" folder. Example: C:\Users\Jsmith\AcrobatHub.
How do I modify and change the default output location for converted PDFs?

I would suggest you to uninstall Adobe Reader using the cleaner tool and then re-install the latest version.
Adobe Cleaner Tool:- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs.

How to add a search help for a field in Screen Personas?

I just started learning to use a Screen Personas, and I want to know how to add a search help for a field.
I found a property in the help document named "IsLookupSupported". Is it the key? But I saw it was gray in the field I created, and its value is "false". I could not change it.

I found the reason. The function Z_WEBRFC_READ_DATA_SH had a string concatenation error.
CONCATENATE '{"results":[{"key": "shlpname", "value": "' l_shlp '"},"key": "fieldname", "value": "' l_field '"}]}' INTO htmldoc-line.
The correct code is like:
CONCATENATE '{"results":[{"key": "shlpname", "value": "' l_shlp '"},{"key": "fieldname", "value": "' l_field '"}]}' INTO htmldoc-line.
Another question is, I can't get any words in Chinese from WebRFC. It returns error when I try it. How can I configure it?

Link for Launching Collaboration Launch Pad

Hello,
At the moment I configure the Minimal Basic Configuration for Collaboration. I want to activate the link for launching the Collaboration Launch Pad. I did all steps but I don't find the link. I know that a link have to be in masthead.
Does this mean that there should be "Collaboration" near "Content Administration", "Content Management" and so on? I don't see a link "Collaboration". What I could do?

Hi Susanne,
If you have changed your framework page, then you should make that
change there also.Because as per the master rules, you will be using
a specific framework page for your id. That can be verified in ur master rules.
So if that is the framework which you have customised , then this change will have to be made there also.

The Download is about 4GB, it depends on how fast your internet connection is and how busy Apple computers are. Have you any way of checking if your Internet is downloading, I.E activity lights on you router. My Internet is 8Mb/s download and it took just over an hour to download earlier today.
I am not sure about a "time remaining"icon.
