RWD Info Pak Launch pad.

We are using this product Info Pak to create our BPP's and now want to make this documentation avaiable in the SAP Help context. I've been told that this is possible using the Launch Pad feature of Info Pak.
I do not see this available with our installation.
Does anyone have experience with this product or know where I can find information on how to insert the documentation?

Hi Den!
There are 3 types of installs available when you first install RWD Infopak--> author install, admin install and all install.
If you have the author install on your system, then you won't be able use the Launchpad feature. Only the admin & all installs have the Launchpad & Web Architect which are primarily used to build a website. I can send you the user manuals for Launchpad & Web Architect to your personal email if you want.

Now there is a web redesign and the web people want to change the path to the files uploaded in the help launchpad and also delete some of the transactions. What impact would it have on SAP if such transactions are deleted and what would be the time and effort involved. I am talking about more than 100 transactions here.

Problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5 and SAP 7.2

Hi, since the new SAP GUI was installed, I've been having problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5. I start to record Event step in SAP and when I stop and go back to the word document, Info Pak will not record any of the steps but might record pieces of snapshots.
Is anyone else having this problem or know if there is a fix?

Similar problem here, after updating xorg and nvidia driver the system freezes with nvidia logo on display and caps lock and scroll lock leds blinking.
I got nvidia geforce 7300.
Any solution to this besides downgrading?

RWD Add-on for Help Launch pad

I am in the process of configuring RWD uperform 4.4. For enabling the help launch pad, is it required to implement both the RWD add-on and abap transport in the sap system.
I believe in the previous versions, only abap transport was provided.
Kindly some one let me know the exact purpose of the RWD add-on and abap transport for help launch pad.

I am new to SPP Help Launchpad, I have downloaded the installation files, what i need is file for system ECC 6.0 direct install for 4.4, i have installed SPP 4.3 server before but have not yet install the help launchpad, now the SPP 4.3 is upgraded to SPP 4.3. And the help launchpad is new to install. What i get from the download package, it contains:

Upgrade from Info Pak 5.7 to RWD uPerform 4.3

They have entrusted me to analyze the feasibility of to update our installation Info Pak 5.7 to RWD uPerform 4.3, nevertheless I do not find major information it brings over of the tool " uPerform Migration Wizard ". Might they indicate me where I find technical specifications relative to Info Pak's migration to uPerform?.

The Migration Wizard can be installed during installation of the uPerform client software.
You must have an administrator installation of Info Pak 5.51 or higher on
your computer in order to install the Migration Wizard.

Info Pak RWD Configuration

We have done the import of RWD in ECC6.0 system and have also done the ABAP customization in the for RWD customized help and are using the BROWSER (not controlled) method. We are able to open a new IE browser when we request for the RWD customized help through any T-code.
But the problem what we are facing here it adds the following path u201C&P6=SU01::&F6=transaction_code&SO=relu201D to the URL given in the server location field in /n/rwd/zf0 tcode and the result ends up in the error u201CPage cannot be foundu201D.
Can anybody please provide us some inputs on how we can display sensitive context properly through web browser?

IPhoto icon changed to a question mark in my launch pad...

I used to have an iPhoto icon in my launch pad in order to pull up my pictures/movies. Where I used to have the "regular" iPhoto icon, I now have a question mark and when I click on it, nothing happens. I tried to use finder to find my iPhoto library, but nothing came up. Any advice? Thanks, LN

It is incredible that your iPhoto application should have vanished completely. Try one more search with the Finder and ensore that it really searches everywhere:
Select "Computer" in the Finder's sidebar, or the system drive, if you only have one drive.
Enter iPhoto in the search field and press "+" to add a rule "kind is Application",
Can you post a screenshot please, of what you see in yur "Pictures" folder? Also select one of the thumbnails of your photos and use the command "File > Get info". What information can you see about your files?

SAP Portal Transaction Launch Pad

We have a requirement to launch SAP transactions through the portal like backend ERP. Has anyone replicated this launch pad capability in portals? I know a consultant had written sample code and posted it to SDN backed in 2003 to accomplish this task (similar to unification except without drage and relate). This code obviously does not work with newer version of portal (nw04). The original SAP workplace portal from years ago had this capability. Any info around this topic would be much appreciated.

I used the role import a while back. I gather that the synchronization issue may be resolved now? I'm not sure. Maybe you should open a new question here for that.
I used the launchpad on EP6 SP2 (i.e., pre-NetWeaver). However, it is based on the unification technology, which hasn't changed since EP5. So nothing important about the guts of it had to be changed (and probably still don't have to be changed).
It was used to replace a WorkPlace implementation, because the customer wanted the look & feel to be as close to WP as possible. So we tweaked the code in a couple of ways:
1) We didn't like how it replaced the tree control with a transaction iView that took over the whole workspace (which caused you to lose the tree view). So I made it into a frameset: a narrow column with the "iPanel", and a wide column for the workspace (again, like Workplace). Then the target of the tree links was modified to write to the frame with the wide column.
2) We had ITS 6.20 links (/scripts/wgate...) and Web AS links (/sap/...), depending on the backend system. So the link syntax had to modified accordingly. They also wanted just plain URL links (because WP had them), and they had to be added as well.

Clean installed 10.8 but it the notification bar has errors, launch pad launches at the speed of a frame a minute.

I clean installed os 10.8 from 10.7.4 which my iMac came with. Now launch pad launches at a frame rate of like a frame per minute, the notification bar pops up with red unstable looking stuff... Sorta like red snow but now so much. Don't know what to do as I have nothing on the computer. Please help

How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?
Have you blown the dust out lately?
Get Temperature Monitor to see if it's heat related...

Launch Pad issues with Mavricks

I upgraded to Mavricks 10.9 when it was released. I have a Macbook Air 13" Late 2010 model. After upgrading to Mavricks, I noticed that my Launch Pad Icons are all missing. I'll I see is text.
Any clues to a fix?

I figured it out. Go to Applications> Launchpad.app > Contents > and delete info.plist & version.plist XML files and reboot. These files are regenerated the next time you add or modify the Launchpad.

Launch Pad Duplicates????

So I reinstalled StarCraft 2 the other day after a recient HD failure. Odd thing is while the game all works correctly on the Launch Pad there are duplicates everywhere. I condenced them all down to a single folder and when I click on them nothing hapens. It pops up on the dock and then goes away. Ive posted a pic to show what I mean.
These apps persay dont do anything but take up space. Nothing gets rid of them. I cant fond them in my application folder and im not aware of any terminal command lines that will weed out duplicates like this. Any help is appreciated.

I have the exact same issue with the duplicated SC2 icons - after running Starcraft for the first time, they just appeared.
Since all items showing up in the Launchpad come from the Applications folder, I looked under \ ~/Applications/Starcraft and found the 'versions' package. By looking at its contents, I noticed the number of "Base####" folders was the same as the number of SC2 icons in the Starcraft folder in Launchpad. And each Base#### folder contains a SC2.app file.
Clicking this file yields the same effect as clicing one of the SC2 icons in [...] Launchpad: shows in dock but then nothing.
I feel tempted to say that Blizzard has failed to properly acknowledge the Launchpad updating itself with all the *.app files, even the ones inside packages, but need to be proven so. Also, I am not sure if there is anyway to remove that Versions package, or its contents. Guess i'm going to search what info is there on blizzard's side.

Refresh of Webi in BI Launch Pad : "Failed to connect to the olap source"

I have a Web Intelligence document based on a BEx Query (BICS connectivity via an OLAP Connection configured with SSO)
Behaviour :
in Web Intelligence Rich Client (2 tier and 3 tier) : refresh is OK
in BI Launch Pad : refresh is not OK :
What can be the reason ? In my opinion SSO to BW is working fine because :
refresh in Web Intelligence Rich Client is OK
refresh of an Analysis Application (Design Studio) based on the same OLAP connection is working fine in Design Studio and in BI Launch Pad
Do I miss something at server level ?

Crystal report : Export to Text format from BI Launch pad

Hi,
We are facing issue in exporting the Crystal report to text format option from BI Launch pad view mode. Currently BI launch pad doesn’t support export to Text format option for crystal report in view mode. But export to text format option is feasible in schedule mode. But customer is not interested in exporting the reports through schedule mode.
Please advise, if we have any alternative way of exporting the crystal report to text format option from BI Launch pad.
