RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation
I have a user who uses Oracle report called from a form. Several times a day she reports that she get a Dr. Watson application error saying that RWRBE60.exe has generated an exception: access violation when she invokes the report runtime (while running the report not printing it). She is running Windows NT Version 4.0, SP 6; She has 256K memory. She is running Forms 6.0.5.0.2 and Oracle Report 6.0.5.28.0. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Anandhi
I've got a similar problem. I'm running windows xp and reports 6.0.8.22 including Patch 13. I don't get the same error, but the RWRBE60.exe stops with a problem. That only occurs by using reports where the parameters are variable and only by the second time I call such a report. If I close the RWRBE60.exe after the first report that probem doesn't occur. Maybe you could check, whether the problem doesn't occur if you close RWRBE60.exe between two reports.

Java.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows
We are running win2000, with jre 1.4 and getting the following message at a particular point in our program:
<b>"java.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."</b>
I have 2 questions:
1) does anyone know what would cause this?
2) does anyone know where this log file is generated to?
many thanks - there are a few duke dollars in it.We are getting same error with jdk1.6,
we can get drwtsn32.log file for user home/documents folder by running with following option. -XX:+ShowMessageBoxOnError

Itunes.exe has generated errors - Windows 2000 SP4
Hi there,
Please can someone help me??
I have been using i-Tunes 7 for some time now on my Windows 2000 machines, however, since re-installing Windows 2000, and downloading i-tunes 7 and clean installing, i-Tunes suddenly stops working in the midst of installing other essential software and updates (which were all running before re-installing Windows 2000 alongside i-tunes 7 with no problems).
When I try to load i-tunes, I get "itunes.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows, you will need to restart the program".
I have tried uninstalling i-tunes, Quicktime won't uninstall and says "Fatal Installation Error" when trying to do so. But even when re-installing or downgrading to an earlier i-tunes (i-tunes 4) - it still gives the same error message!
I am at my wit's end - I have re-installed Windows 2000 for the third time today and it will work at first, but then suddenly gives this error every time I load i-tunes.
Please help!!
Happy New Year
dakkuI have tried this (I uninstalled EVERYTHING including Quicktime & Apple Update), but I am still getting the same error message.

NImax.exe has generated errors. You must restart the program, a log file is
being created.
This error occurs just after bootup, no programs started except windows..
Running Windows 2000 latest version on a brand new computer.
(pent 4 3.0 ghz 500MB ram).
Can anyone help me with this problem? Happened after install Labview 7.0
express. Installed twice and same problem occured with both installs.
Labview 7.0 is the only thing installed right now. Also selected "Visual
Basic Support" install from driver cd's.
One other thing I just noticed. System info reports 2 processors and I
think I only have one.
TIAHappy update.
After ignoring this problem for awhile and installing some NI DAQ boards,
this problem is not happening anymore.
Would urge NI to investigate further though. Messed me up for a couple of
days, and still don't know why it happened.
Much thanks to those who helped.

Looks like the problem is casued by missing component. But we don't know which component missing and how to find it. Is there anybody can give us some clue what we need to check next and what tool we can use to detect missing component.
Thanks!!!!I tried Dependency Walker in our development environment, looks like it's useless for .NE T Window Form application, the result I got is like bellow,
XXXXX.EXE
MSCOREE.DLL
KERNEL32.DLL
USER32.DLL
ADVAPI32.DLL
SHLWAPI.DLL
URLMON.DLL
VERSION.DLL
I know we used some other DLL like Mirosoft Office Object Library, but MSCOREE.DLL (.NET Runtime Engine) covered them. Any other idea? Thanks!!!! -
Itunes.exe has generated errors...videos wont transfer
I have Windows 2000 w/service pack 4 and all updates.
itunes and ipod work great with the EXCEPTION of when I try to transfer downloaded VIDEOS from itunes to my LIBRARY. The downloads are on my hardDrive but when I try to transfer them over to the ipod a PROGRAM ERROR alerts that itunes.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows...and shuts down. Yes I have already TWICE removed and reinstalled itunes with all virus scans and spyware OFF, downloaded the stand alone quicktime.Still no luck.
What the heck is causing this???
HP Windows 2000 amd-K6 3DIf you know where this error log it generates/creates is, copy and paste it here in a post so we know whats happening.
Just to cover basics, run antivirus to check for viruses on your PC, run any malware program you use to check for ad/spyware, and after that turn off or disable any antivirus/security programs you have before installing iTunes. there is a slew of post here on both Norton AND Mcafee and how they have interfered with installs of iTunes
Someone may correct me on this but seems like your installer files are corrupt. run Microsofts "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" and anything listed as iTunes or Quicktime remove with the cleaner. You can get the clean up Utility at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301 -

"Incorrect Connection string for Add on" messages
After browsing net I found solution to my problem therefore I have decided to post it here, so those who will hit it could find the answer.
If you get this error, you will need to adjust the .NET security with 'Microsoft .NET Framework Wizards' . As simple as that.
enjoy
P.S. I wasted 5 days re-installing softwareHey Dleksiy,
Could you tell me how did you(i am expecting steps followed) adjust the .NET security using .net framework wizard my customer is facing the same error message "incorrect connection string for add-on"..
Thanks in advance

Ipodservice.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows
I just bought a brand new Ipod and got the new iTunes 7 but whenever I plug in the iPod I get the "Ipodservice.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows" message and iTunes wont recognize the iPod. It seems to be recognized by windows. As soon as I restart the .exe it happens again (if the iPod is plugged in)
Hi,
I keep getting the same error message saying iPodService.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes and reinstalled and restarted my computer but still no go. Anyone got any ideas? Would really appreciate it as I've just got a new iPod nano and finding it very frustrating not being able to hook it up. Thanks in advance.

You can get the clean up Utility at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301 -
NIMax.exe has generated errors
My system was working fine till this morning. I had to reconnect GPIB cables. I did that and ever since then, i'm unable to use MAX. As soon as i open MAX and click on "Devices and Interface", i get this error - "nimax.exe has generated errors and will be closed down by windows. You need to restart the program". I uninstalled LV 6.0 and MAX 3.1 and reinstalled LV 6.0 and MAX 3.2. The problem still is the same .. PLEASE HELP IMMEDIATELY !!!
Perhaps in the reinstallation of MAX the configuration data files have been corrupted. One way we can check this is to close MAX, and then delete the Data folder found in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX. This will basically give you a clean slate in MAX to start from. WARNING: Deleting the Data folder will remove all MAX configurations. New configuration files will be created when MAX is reopened. If this is something that's possible for you, please try it, and let us know if it allows you to reopen MAX and move on. If not, we'll keep trying.

Learning WebLogic? http://learnweblogic.com

I work in the same office as Paul, and have been trying to get Weblogicserver 5.1 installed on my Pentium IV machine. (Your website does not
distinguish between the various pentium flavors, professing compatibility
with them all.) The InstallShield begins to do its thing, but just before
it finishes, I get the message that the program WLPASS~1.exe has generated
errors. The InstallShield finishes, but a subsequent attempt to launch the
Weblogic Server results in a message stating that wlserver.exe has generated
errors. Similar messages result from any attempt to launch the programs in
the Weblogic directory. Can you give any help?Thanks,-Adam Kuehn -
Java.exe has generated errors and will be closed.....
I have a java application installed on many PCs where it normally runs expect one (with Windows2000, as the other PCs): when I start the application the following error occurs:
application error. java.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart he program
(The application installs the directory jre with his java.exe that corresponds to jdk 1.2. The .bat that starts the application calls that java.exe specifying the correct classpath)
Is ther anybody who knows how to explain/solve this problem?I have the same problem after installing Oracle Spatial 8.1.7 on a W2K PC with Pentium IV.
I'm going crazy, because without Java I can't use DBA Studio...
Anyone knows the solution?

Java.exe crashing with Dr Watson access violation at address 500bf974
We have been sucessfully runing an application delveloped with JDK 1.2.2 on a Pentium III machine with Windows NT 4 SP5 (384Mb RAM). I have replaced the Pentium III machine with a pentium 4 with 1Gb RAM (still running NT4 SP5). In fact, I simply took the HDD out of the PIII and installed it in the P4.
All applications work correctly (Sybiz Vision, MS Office 97 suite), however, when I go to run the java application is crashes and a Dr Watson Access Violation in java.exe error is generated.
I have:
1. Reinstalled the JDK 1.2.2.
2. Confirmed that all hardware drivers (new NIC, Video and Sound Card) were updated with the appropriate versions from the hardware suppliers web pages.
3. Read thru previous posts on this site (and others) for similar errors, but have only been able to find similar questions.
4. Lowered the video card display colours to 256 rather than 65,536.
None of the above have made any difference.
I hope this question will prompt the java/Dr Watson gurus out there to help me resolve this frustrating problem.
Thanks in anticipation.
GregConsider getting 1.2.2_014, or whatever is the latest version of 1.2.2. I think there were some issues with Pentium IV processors which were fixed in one of the later incarnations of the JDK.
You can get the latest version of 1.2.2 from the following url:
