RX9800PRO-TD128 and TV-Out cable
Hi,
I've bought this card but OEM version and now I'm in trouble because of lack of TV-Out cable. Could someone send me a schema of this cable so I'm able to make one myself ?

Thanks for reply, but the card actually has pretty rare 9-pin socket, not a regulkar 4-pin S-Video. But somebody mailed me that it's possible to put a regular S-Video plug into that 9-pin socket. So you may be right I'm still waiting for delivery, but when I finally have the card, I'll check this idea and post the result.

Big MSI RX9800Pro-TD128 problem
Hi everyone!
I am a proud owner of a Radeon 9800Pro (MSI RX9800Pro-TD128) and I've got an issue that looks very much (or exactly) like this:

If you failed do recognize it, this is a screenshot from 3DMark03 GT4. It happens with all driver versions I tried (from MSI and from ATI). It used to happen only in GT4, so I wasn't to concerned, but now it also happens in HL2 when AA and AF are turned on (which is also strange, because I didn't use 3D Mark with AA and AF). The card is not overheating and works fine in other situations. My system:
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000+
MB: MSI K8T Neo (VIA K8T800 chipset)
RAM: 512MB DDR 400MHz Kingston ValueRAM etc...
Windows 2000 Professional with SP4, DX 9.0cToday, after months of having this issue, I solved the problem. Still, I don't understand why this worked, so please someone explain it to me. I found two solutions:
1) Change AGP aperture size to 256MB. Since I have only 512MB of RAM, things got a bit less smooth, so I was thinking, since things did work from time to time, and guided partly by memory and partly by instinct I
2) returned AGP aperture size to 128MB, and removed desktop wallpaper, screensaver, custom Windows appereance in Display Properties and it also worked.
I retested all variations several times to make sure, and right now I have little doubt that this is a permanent solution. I only don't know why, so if anyone could tell me, I'd really appreciate it. -
When I connect my Mac Mini 2011 with Lion to a TV via HDMI and an earphone cable is plugged in, it´s not possible to choose sound out via hdmi, as opposed to connection via the minidisplay port. Anybody knows how to fix this?
Was just on the phone with Apple about this.
The solution was as follows for me anyway...
Go to your Finder
Choose the Go Menu
Choose Computer
Choose your Macintosh Hard Drive
Choose your "Library" Folder
Choose the "Preferences" Folder
There should be a folder called "Audio"
Move that whole folder to the trash
Empty the Trash
Restart from the Apple Menu
When you are back up and running;
Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu
Choose Sound
In the output tab you should now be able to make the HDMI "Sticky"
Enjoy your sound over HDMI and no more dirty knees or broken backs unplugging the desktop speakers!

I have a apple component AV TV out cable (red, green,blue + red,white) and have had this connected to TV for about 6 months working fine. I moved the TV disconnected cables to move now I can only get video and no sound back on TV. Any suggestions ?

Can you use the HDMI Out and the Optical Cable out at the sametime?
I would like to connect the HDMI out cable from Apple TV to connect to the HDMI digital video/audio connection to my stereo and connect the optical out on the Apple TV and connect to my Zone 2 on the same reviever.
Can I use both these Apple TV outputs at the same time or can you only use one at a time?Yes, lots of conflicting reports, sometimes things can change from one AppleTv firmware to another.
I had assumed PJJW12 was planning on viewing and also outputting audio to Zone 2.
I assume the AppleTv would be hooked to the Av amp - might be worth seing if the current HDMI audio could be routed to Zone 2 to avoid need for an adapter. However the AppleTV is connected if there is a TV involved and audio processing gets passed through it may also be possible to take analogue out from a TV and perhaps route that to Zone 2. -
I have an iphone 4s and i use it to display pictures,videos in a tv or a projector using the tv out cable, i want to see if ios 7 still support this feature and does it give this support to third party applications too. I does io7 need any third party applications to view microsoft office documents in a tv using cable??

I have an iphone 4s and there is a prompt that shows the itunes icon and a connection cable i plugged it in and itunes is saying im not connected to the internet but i am....any help out there???

any help will be greatI have the original rx9800pro and it is recognized as the 9800xt with ati drivers, and shows an r360 core everywhere i look. Wiith its awesome cooling, i can get it to 445core, and 385memory stable. It is as good as the Artic cooling solution easily. I never run it at that though, because im not big on overclocking. Anyways I do set it at a more conservative 410core and 360memory and i score 6800 in 3dmark 2003 and 47,000 in Auquamark. I use the ATI drivers v4.8, not the msi drivers. I am sure glad i got an original before they switched to the newer design. Does the newer design use the same cooling, for your sake i hope so. For $189 retail, it was a steal. I love it.

RX9800pro-TD128(red board) meny problems
Hello everyone..
I bought a ATI Radeon rx9800pro td128...
got some major problems in games...like tearing ..blicks..some textures moveing out of walls in sharp format..and those kind of stuff...
i saw all otehr posts i tryed all but it doesnt work even wount hlp a bit..that made me think card is damaged...
as tryed all i mean : - giving more power to card like taking out of floopy drive power plug...and as usuall in meny forums of ati i tryed uninstaling drivers of old card (GeForcemx4) then unistaling ati drivers again,reboot install ati again...i even formated win xp service pack 2 and instali it fresh and all fresh new drivers again but its the same...i tryed with catalyst tool ..no hlp with it...i updated all new drivers for mainboard (nvidia nForce2...wich i think is the problem)...i tryed omega drivers too... i tryed turning off fast writes on agp settings in bios and catalyst tool...i think i did everything and there is no hlp...so i am really close to grab it out and smash it at the wall!!
i got issues in every game like ...CoD, Mohpa , CS , World of Warcraft and more...
but i only got problems in games nowhere else..
Anyone got same problems ?
Someone know answers to this problems ?

My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. A while ago the computer fell down and hit the cable. How can I tell if the computer is working ok. Doesn't show mirroring any more. Was working while watching a movie but when I pulled it out from the computer and put it back in the system would no longer mirrorr the screen on the TV.
The best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. The evaluation will be for FREE!

I've been a Mac since 2008, so I know my way around the system pretty well. This issue, however, has me stumped. I had an iMac until now and only now am I experiencing some difficulty with my new MacBook Pro. The model I have is the newest 13" Macbook Pro model and I'm trying to connect a Panasonic VIERA TC-L42U30 42" HDTV as a second monitor via the Thunderbolt port.
It worked the first two times and hasn't worked since, after 10-15 attempts with different configurations, turning things on n off, restarting the mac, unplugging the cables, adapters, TV, resetting the P RAM, etc... I've used multiple hdmi-thunderbolt/mini displayport adapters and multiple hdmi cables and still no success. No matter what I do, the Macbook does not sense the TV as a second monitor anymore.
I took the MacBook Pro to the Apple Store, and their "genius" there had it working fine with a DVI connection to a regular monitor. The Panasonic TV I have has HDMI connections and one VGA connection which does not support HD, but no DVI option. I want an HD connection to mirror or extend my MacBook Pro screen. At the Apple Store, they didn't have a Thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, so he could not try that out for me.
Anyone else have this configuration or another similar one with a Panasonic HDTV?
Ideas? Suggestions? Anything?! Help!!
P.S. I'm running Mountain Lion, if that wasn't already obvious. Everything is up to date in my App Store as well.

I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.

I will be using a HDMI cable to connect an Apple TV box and a Comcast cable TV box to my TV. My TV has only one HDMI port.
To do this I will need a 2x1 HDMI splitter or a 2x1 HDMI auto switch (preferred).
?Is there any Apple TV HDMI port voltage?
When using a HDMI auto switch to connect two devices to a HDMI TV, the
Auto switch cable box only works for components that do not output continuous voltage over HDMI port when turned off.
Do you know of any other solutions? Componets? Actual expierances?

I tried what you said again but without success. I even updated the driver so that that audio driver is the same as the graphics driver i.e.. NVIDIA but this has not helped either:

My secondary monitor flashes and blacks out after the 10.7 install. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have installed 10.7 and the secondary monitor flashes and blacks out. I downgraded back to 10.6 and the problem went away. I reinstalled 10.7 and the same problem happened again. The monitor blacks in and out especially when the pointer is placed in the dock area, but it still happens all the time. My secondary monitor is a ViewSonic 22 inch that is connected to a DVI to display adapter. Any solutions??
ThanksTalked to AppleCare and it's most likely the fact that my MacBook has 3.0 USB ports and my non official charging cable can't support that. So yeah, I'll try a new cable, hopefully that's the fix.
