Am I the only person that took a performace hit after "Upgrading" from my 1.5GHz G4? My POS 2.16 GHz dual core takes 30 seconds longer to boot than my G4, not to mention it just seems so sluggish. Hopefully the apple dealer will take it back, if not anyone want one that's been used 2 days, understands several curse words and that I'll ship to them free?

You may have already though of this, but when I first got my MBP, it was really slow & sluggish because Spotlight had to index about 50GB worth of stuff I moved over from my old Mac. I don't think this would affect your boot time, but my MBP's entire first day was pretty slow with the indexing.
Now, though, the thing is a maniac. Going back to the old G4 is painful. If you've really only had it 2 days, get the Apple store to do their job and swap it for you. You have 14 days if it's DOA.
