S/MIME message encryption on BB Classic using Office 365 account

I'm trying to establish S/MIME functionality on my new BlackBerry Classic using an Office365 account with Exchange Active Sync (no BES needed). Office365 as the host is fully supporting S/MIME, while it seems that the native e-mail (EAS) client of BB should do the same. According to respective user guide, one has to upload and install respective certificate in order to have an additional menu to appear in the Hub settings. I installed respective certificate perfectly fine, but there's no submenu appearing in the Hub in which I can actually enable any S/MIME functionality.
Meanwhile encrypted messages can't be read nor recognized. Are there any (other) dependencies for this to work?

MX records are not set to office 365, the MX is pointing directly to the on-prem exchange server.
The problem is; Office 365 Mail Delivery Trace is displaying mail we've sent via our On-Prem server - We are having trouble understanding why this is happening.
To clarify, the message tracer in Office 365 is displaying outbound mail (Which for example, a user has sent out from their outlook) BUT only outbound mail which is being sent to other office 365 users.
We do not have mail on office 365, only on-premise hence the reason why we are flabbergasted to why the mail we are sending out would be displaying on the office 365 message tracer.
To further clarify, we are only seeing addresses in the office 365 message trace which belong to recipients whom use office 365 for their mail.
Hope this makes sense.

You mentioned if they send email using their MS Outlook Client.
I'd suggest you to send another email to the same recipient but using OWA

  • ON PREM Outbound emails showing in dummy non-configured office 365 account message flow trace

    Dear Community,
We have an on-prem exchange 2013 server and an office 365 account which is completly standalone.
Whilst the office 365 account is standalone, it does feature the email address we use for on-prem (Ie. the domain name in office 365 account is not active for any office 365 services however has passed ownership verification thus it's just sitting there)
We DON'T use EOP nor do we have any connector rules on our on-prem system that go to office 365 however when I randomly went into the 'Message Flow Trace' section in our office 365 account, there is recorded outbound mail which was sent from our On-prem
    server.
The ONLY mail that was recorded in the message Trace in Office 365 was emails we had sent from On-prem to other office 365 accounts (For example btconnect.com, and some of our clients whom also use office 365) .
How is office 365 picking up mail we've sent from our On-Prem server? Is there integration out of the box in exchange 2013 which auto interfaces with office 365? What on earth has happened here?
    I'm really confused.
    -------- For troubleshooting purposes...

  • COM object model not functioning after encrypting the word document using office extention

After encrypting A word document using office extention, it seems like the COM object model becomes unusable. I cannot not manipulate the encrypt document through COM interface, nor can I write macro VBScript to do some operation on the docuent.
For example, I create a word Macro with some simple code.
    Sub hi()
        Dim i As Integer
        i = ThisDocument.Fields.Count
        MsgBox i
    End Sub
If the document is not encrypt, then we will see a msgbox which tells us the number of bookmarks in the current document.
Now, encrypt the word document using the office extention, running the macro code will fail with error code " 80004005" and error message:Method 'Fields' of bject 'ThisDocument' failed.
It is very important for us to manipulate word documents through COM interface in our system, I want to know why the COM interface does not work anymore after the document is encrypted.

I take macro script as an example to demonstrate that word COM object model cannot be used after encripted. Actually you can reproduce the same problem when you manipulate word document through COM interface using any programming language.
For example, you can create a text document  with the following VBscript:
    set a = createobject("Word.Application")
    set doc = a.Documents.Open("E:\temp\test.docx")
    msgbox doc.Fields.count
    doc.close
    a.quit
Save the document with ".vbs" file extention and then run it by double clicking it. it will fail if the document is encrypted using the office extention.

  • Problems Using Office 365

    Hi,
I have been using office 365 small business premium product. Since last 3 days I am facing problems with all the Office products. I was using Microsoft Word, and I was prompted to install "Proofing
Tool" which I installed. After that Outlook is giving a message "An OLE registration Error occurred. Please re-install" whenever I press Send/Receive button. Since then Word and Excel are also giving problem. I have uninstalled the Proofing
Tool but the problem persists. Please assist urgently.

    Hi,
You may need to register ole32.dll and repair Office to solve this problem.
To register ole32.dll, please follow the steps below:
    1. Press Win + R, type "cmd" in the blank box, press Enter.
    2. In the Command Prompt, type Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll and press Enter.
    3. A regsvr32 window popups, that tells you that the DllRegisterServer succeeded.
Then please go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features, try repairing Office, check if this helps.

  • Having trouble removing a student email account from the Windows Mail App because the school has started using office 365 for thier email which i dont have access to

I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to remove a gmail account that was set up by a community college for use on their mail servers and then find out that after awhile they have locked you out because they have started using office 365 for their
emails and you are left with a student email account that you have no idea how to delete because you have missied out on deleting it before they changed to a different email provider?
Anybody with ideas please help because I don't know what to do

    Hi,
Regarding to Windows Mail App, do you mean the Modern UI App in Windows 8.1? Do you mean that you want to remove the email account from Mial App? Generally, we can simply remove the account by the "Account" option in Mail App (Open Mail App, move
the mouse the right chram bar, click Account, then click the mail account\Remove account), but if the email acocunt is tied with the Microsoft Account which is used on the pc, in that case, it is unavailable to remove the email account, you need to contact
your college to disconnect the Microsoft Account.
If I'm misunderstanding something, please free correct me.

  • Query about using Office 365 as a file server

    Hey,
At my workplace we are looking to change our method of storing files, as it stands we have an old machine which we connect to via the LAN.
As we have expanded, other people need access to this from afar and we have looked at Office 365 Education, my understanding is that everyone gets 25gb on their own local area. How would we go about getting 100-200 GB of space on a standalone area.
E.G a virtual server which everyone can access, as an admin can I restrict who views which directories?
My understanding is that I would need to make a user account called "Company Server" and share the folders via SkyDrive and only upgrade that account?
    Thanks again

The storage for OneDrive for Business (SkyDrive Pro) is now 1TB for each user. OneDrive for Business is a good place for storing users' working files, the kinds of files you'd typically find in user home directories.
You can use Office 365 like a file server through the use of mapped network drives. Here's how to set one up support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2616712. You can also script the network drive setup process with Powershell. Check

  • Using Office 365

Can I use Office 365 on imac and ipad?

Microsoft just came out with apps for iDevices. I haven't read up on them because I don't plan to get it, but my understanding is that the apps are free, but to create or edit content you need the office 365 subscription. So it may work now.
I also understand that it's not a universal app, meaning that if you  have both an iPhone and iPad you'd need to buy/download each version. (no idea if your office 365 subscription works on any device or if there's a limit)
I'd read up on it in the app store and possibly over on Microsoft's site (it's their app, it's on them to explain and support it) and then make the decision best for you.

using Office 365 - how to close sub folders in iPhone-mail app.

Isn't HotMail still POP3 mail only (i.e. no IMAP support)?  If that is still the case, then your device is working correctly.  The folders you made are a feature of the web tool for hotmail, and are not part of the POP3 supported email protocol.  Only IMAP mail supports on-server mail subfolders, and those can be accessed from the iPhone mail client.  But POP3 is limited to the inbox solely, as that is literally the only folder that sits on the mail server (your others are on Microsofts web server and supported via the web mail tool).

  • Cannot click in search mail and people field using Office 365

As of this week, four of the users in our school have reported that they cannot click within the search mail field using Office 365. Happens on Macs running 10.8 and 10.9 when using Firefox version 28. When they try using Google Chrome they can use the email search function.
Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas? I updated to the latest versions of Flash and Java same result.
    Thank you!

Hi CT_Dave, I do know that search api can have alot of dom elements on them and that scripts on a page can be prevented from running. However, for Office 365 specifically I do not know what kind of search they have.
You can monitor the search page by looking in the web console to see if there are any specific errors that may be causing this issue.
In the about:config, please also make sure javascript is enabled.
    # In the address bar, type "about:config" (with no quotes), and press Enter.
    # Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
    # In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
    # Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.

  • Is delegation of a calendar possible on using Office 365 and any client whatsoever on Mac?

I am looking for any way for OS X users to use Office 365's exchange calendaring service to delegate / share a calendar with another user on Office 365.
I have researched the MS knowledge base which states that for delegation, you need both an Exchange server (which I presume Office 365 is) and either Outlook 2010 or 2013 - neither of which run on OS X. If I have to, I could get to these software to temporarily
sign in and set up the delegation, but I don't want to run Windows day in and day out and need a native OS X solution.
Short of running Windows virtually day to day, can OS X users use delegation features of Office 365?

I am looking for any way for OS X users to use Office 365's exchange calendaring service to delegate / share a calendar with another user on Office 365.
    This article should help:
    https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Add-and-manage-your-delegates-e250ea79-755d-463f-a506-31f55092338b
But... I'd expect that this will only work if both the mailboxes are within the same O365 tenant (since delegation is really a backend-server feature, which requires a common security/directory, and that's only possible within a single tenant, and not across
    tenants AFAIK)

  • Missing e-mails on computers when using office 365 outlook

I am using office 365, things were working well but I do faced with a problem.
As my emails were from Exchange and I am using IMAP in my email settings on my computer and mobile devices, when I create folders and stored my emails in these folders on my computer, some of my emails disappeared, but when I check login and check the
web-version of e-mails, they are inside there.
Can anyone advise how to stop this problem or disappearing emails and how to synchronise these emails back to my computer ?
    Thank you

    Hi,
So you are using IMAP to access your mail on Exchange on your computer and mobile. Some emails will disappear after move them to a folders on the computer.
Based on my research, this issue can happen for several reasons, for example a client filter, corruptions in data file or Outlook profile, etc.
I would suggest we try following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check if you have any filter view settings applied on these folders which might filter out these emails. Click
VIEW>View Settings on the ribbon, then click Filter...
Check with a new Outlook data file, and see if issue persists. You can simply delete the current .ost file, and launch Outlook again to let it generate a new one. To check the location of your Outlook data file, please
    go to FILE>Account Settings>Account Settings>Data Files
    tab.
If issue persists, you might want to check with a new Outlook profile:
