S/mime not digitally signing

Hello,
I have this strange problem there Thunderbird simply doesn't sign or encrypt.
I have added my s/mime comodo certificate to thunderbird, i have verified the certificate was valid inside thunderbird.
the option to digitally sign is enabled by default
digitally encrypt is set to "never" by default.
now when i send out emails they do not contain any certificate.
So it appears thunderbird is simply not digitally signing at all.
I am using thunderbird from Ubuntu, i do not know if i need to do anything with security devices ( i left this default).
Any help about this issue will be much appreciated.

hmm
normally atleast in outlook it clearly shows you have a s/mime certificate.
I checked in both OWA and Outlook after sending a mail to my self from TB --> nothing showed.
If i chose to encrypt i can still read it on my mobile that doesn't have s/mime support (didn't enable the extra plugin for android there), if i do the same with my outlook s/mime it:
1) becomes unreadable after encryption on devices that do not support s/mime
2) shows a certificate icon
So in all accounts i am pretty sure my TB doesn't do anything with s/mime.
I actually seen similar complaints in the original addon before it was integrated in TB it self.

Error message "not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner

My computer keeps crashing and I discovered that it is not recognizing a hardware device. The device is the printer. When I check further, it asks for driver updates and when I try to do that, I get an error message "not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner.
I have no idea how to fix this since I am the administrator and I have an HP laptop too. Any help is great.

I have personally ran into the error message you are receiving before that states "not digitally signed or not signed in the appropriate manner", and I had posted a solution to it as well. I would like for you to see the steps that had fixed the problem in my first link below. You will notice that you will have to download the correct drivers for your printer, the Photosmart B210a model, and that link is also below.

SoundMax Digital Driver not digitally signed and not passed logo testing

Hi HP Community,
My sound is going in and out (skipping). The speakers are not blown out.
I have tried in this order
uninstalling Soundmax and restarting the computer
updating driver through control panel>system>driver
using hp.com software/driver page and installed ADI 1981B Audio driver (sp34210.exe version 5.12.1.5410 C) an error message reads, "SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Window XP" I selected continue anyway.
used Driver Recovery DVD and an error message reads, "SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Window XP" I selected continue anyway.
Through all this I noticed that it is not digitally signed
The sound still sounds bad. Is it even the driver?
What is going on and suggestions?

Just to establish a good base line I am going to have you uninstall and reinstall the printer from our website rather than the CD-ROM that came with the machine.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

Apple mobile device usb driver not digitally signed

I installed(updated) itunes 12.1.1.4 64-bit on wildows 7. Then, it can not recognize iphones and ipods any more.
I tried every means to fix this, updating windows and itunes, uninstalling and installing, rebooting and restarting.......
Finally, I find that the apple mobile device usb driver is not digitally signed. I found this when I open the computer/manage/device manager/portable device/iphone/update driver. Windows installed mtp usb driver for apple products and indicating the related apple driver software cannot be installed.
what's wrong with this? should I wait until apple solve this problem?

I suggest you try the "for older video cards" version...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Are you still using Acrobat 8? If not read further.
All Acrobat versions prior to 11.0.07 had a security flaw that they allows signing with certificates that had "Extended Key Usage" (EKU) restricted to certain certificate uses and those did not include document signing. Most frequently those were certificates with "Client Auth" or "Server Auth" in EKU. Acrobat/Reader 11.0.07 fixed this problem, which also means that while previous versions accepted such certificates for signing 11.0.07 and later do not.

I lost my drivers to my HP deskjet f2179 Printer and when i try to download them from the HP site the process goes
through to about step 5. It then stops and the following message pops up

HP EliteBook drivers not digitally signed

Hi,
Big problem here - I have upgraded a new HP Elitebook 840G1 from Win8.1 to our companies Enterprise Win7 x64 image.
When trying to install some of the drivers from the Official HP Support page for this model I am getting Programme Compatibilty errors saying the drivers are not digitally signed and I should uninstall them.
In particular I recieved this error after installing HP 3D driveguard. I uninstalled the program but it appears to have left the disc driver behind as when the laptop is now booted up it goes into system recovery mode. The only way I can get it to boot is to F8 and select to disable driver signature enforcement... NIce one HP!!
The IDT PC audio driver also throws up an error saying it is not digitally signed although the PCI REaltek media driver did go in OK.
Anyone with any ideas of how to fix the broken 3D drivegaurd issue??
I cant beleive that HP are offering up drivers that are not properly digitally signed....

If that unit doesn't come with 8.1 support asking for help on unsupported O/S will not get forum user help here. Want User forum help here you need to go back to the supported O/S then others can help you. You don't install unsupported O/S and expect to get support.....HP will also tell you that as well.

A driver was not digitally signed after software and driver installation on Windows 7

error, deivice status not working properly for my H Officejet Pro 8500 a909a printer . In Device Manager I noticed a driver was not digitally signed which i beleive is causing my Internet Explorer to not work properly.
Is this a driver I need to correct or get signed? How do I correct this problem?

Thank you for the reply, and potential fixes. I have combed the MS site already. The workarounds may provide some return functionality, but this type issue between two companies as HP and MS seems peculiar, and I am holding out for a permanent bonafide solution.
For example, the "F8 override disabling all digital signatures" plus installing yet another program to continue with every reboot is just not a viable solution to me.

on the apple troubleshooting site the troubleshooting steps don't even refer to the latest version of itunes but to the previous version where the devices are listed in the left hand column! what's that all about?
Anyway I can pay microsoft 75 dollars to sort this for me or I can try to sort it myself. Apple doesn't seem to be at all interested in helping their CUSTOMERS with this problem, I can only presume it's because these CUSTOMERS are using a microsoft product.

I'm having a similar problem - my computer tells me that "one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it". I'm also using Windows 7 64bit.

I just went to install Russell Brown's Image Processor Pro script, which I downloaded from russellbrown.com, and the Adobe Extension Manager emitted the following message:
I'm a bit wary of installing unsigned software. Surely Russell must have a code signing certficate.

I got the following response from one of our internal staffers in charge of this area:
"For Android, due to signed app will get related rights to change a lot of parameters remotely for Lenovo devices, meaning it may cause security issues. So, we can sign the app only if 3rd party partner officially commit there will be no harm to Lenovo products, comply with related legal terms and local policy/requirements, and also they will bear all the direct and in-direct liability / joint and several liability if they violate the commitment."

How to digitally signed the driver

Hi all ,
i am using windows server 2012 evaluation version , i am trying to install the driver for pnp network adapter device , unfortunately i am getting the error saying driver detected but not digitally signed , so anyone can tell me what could be the possible
way to fix the issue.

A signed driver is a device driver that includes a digital signature. A digital signature is an electronic security mark that can indicate the publisher of the software.
If a driver has been signed by a publisher that has verified its identity with a certification authority, you can be confident that the driver actually comes from that publisher and hasn't been altered.
In your case please download the driver from the vendors website and install it.

I downloaded the ifilter and installed it
then configured everything as shown in the pdf file
I tried indexing from scratch exactly as i did successfully in the other computer
and got some errors in the log file
i checked the sql server log and the event viewer logs and got :
