:S :S Nokia 6120C - new firmware for my phone?! !?

Hi,
I have Nokia 6120 Classic, Product ID: 0555926 and last firmware for my phone is: v 3.83
But for other 6120 phones last firmware version is: 5.11, 4.21 ...
When we get new firmware for 0555926 product id phones???????? This is discrimination...

If the nokia software updater doesn't allow you to update then your phone is most likely network branded or network locked. Most networks don't bother approving new updates leaving their customers stuck with old firmware.

I was just checking for the new firmware for Nokia 6680,
via Nokia Software Updater. And I was surprise to find there are
new updates. Then I upgrade my 6680 from v5.04.07 to v5.04.40.
After upgrade, I notice that there are some difficulties in making & receiving calls, and sending SMS. I'm staying in Malaysia and using Celcom 3G. I refer the provider on this matter, and they said their network is ok.
Could it be the upgrades?
What are the changelog for v5.04.40

Yeah, that's what I thought. An upgrade is suppose to improve the use. Unless, the new firmware has a tiny bug, or it's an unofficial release. I looked up in the Internet, so far, no info about the new firmware.
Can Nokia release an unofficial firmware?

I'm updating my phone right now, but as all previous firmware versions, there is no change log. We have to figure out what has been fixed this time.

New firmware for Nokia C7-00

After a quick search around, i get completely lost about the right and safe firmware for this phone.
There are some issues ready to be fixed, so im guessing nokia is working on that. Having that said, i see to many firmwares, to many versions, to many sources, absolutely no oficial news on that.

Allready seen that page. Like i said, no oficial notices for new firmware for C7...
Actualy, even i dont input my product code, when i select the phone, immediately i get: There are no software updates available for this product yet
So, i understand there is zero releases for this phone, since its exists....
Hope im wrong.
Paid big money for a phone who doesnt identify the sms sender.....
Really frustrating....

It's not about old or not, it's about that productcode which is under your battery. Take a look here, and follow the instructions. If there is not an update available, you just have to wait.

NOKIA, you are really ridiculous for how you handled all the holders of a n97/mini before you did pay a lot of euros then you realize that it was a huge **bleep** and have lowered the price so exaggerated now not even have the decency to respond to the owners saying When you can pull out a firmware that removes all the bugs this phone pitiful. Do you mean cellular operator or other? Please write with more information! What is 'your operator' and how contact with him?
1) if you mean cellular operator, its full s(sory)... if we fly to another country we don't need change phone soft, so why you make reference on operator?
2) few months ago me succeded update on my n95 to v20.0.015 but now available v12 (what so rollback to old version)? And on 6290 when i bought it, the 6290 already has firmware v3.06 but on nokia page available v3.03 and you say is fault of 'operator' ? How it's can be?
May be is fault of NOKIA or some errors on database or web pages - then Nokia must check it and fix!!!

No, the firmware updates will come from your network, so it would not be unlocked. The firmware is installed via the Ovi Suite software or directly on your phone.

I'm requesting for a new firmware for Nokia N70, nokia n70 is a tough fighter. Competetive... But it needs new improvments.
-fast loading when you access the menu
-enhanced camera
-faster internet browsing
-listen to radio without headset
-using the flash of the camera as Flashlight
-needs sms accelerator, for faster sending of text messages.
and other cool stuff, improvments, upgrades...

Why no new firmware for E71 (product code:0569371)

Now, normally I would not care but over the last couple of months everyone keeps blogging about the new firmware for their E71.
I have paid a full price for mine in the US (Newegg) so that I would not be constrained by some provider limitations.
Well, now I find out that everyone else in the world, including the US, but that one product code (0569371) has received their updates, some even two and I am still stuck on the original 1.0 release.
Can anyone one over there at Nokia explains this to me like a 4-year-old, why does Nokia punishes owners of this particular product?

Having exchanged a few polite emails with NA Nokia devission I got this today:
"Nokia is consistently working to improve our product services and realizes the software update is important to you. I regret to inform you, that I do not have a release date for the firmware update to your Nokia E71 device. Please continue to monitor the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) for updates for your device. "
So, I have decided to go on a mission to provide potential North America buyers of the Nokia phones sold in US about the support they can expect. Do I think this will help? I doubt it, but what else can I do? Class action suite?

I don't know about the upgrade to ^3, and frankly it might not be possible to port symbian^3 to the ol' n97 .... But i still hope that this new "upcoming" update makes the n97 better......
And i also wish it releases at nokia world 2010, b/c if it does, it will be worth the wait
