Hi there, if you have no Fn-F5 menue at all ...re-install Lenovo Energymanagement
last way is to save your work and data to an external HDD.. or do a complete backup / clone the hdd
so you are on a save side and you could easy recover ... and re-install your needed programs  ..

My Bluetooth has disappeared and I have tried just about everything on the internet. When I click on Bluetooth file exchange it says hardware not found. I tried resetting everything as well nothing is working for me please help because now my facetime doesn’t work neither does photo booth and now I cannot text people off my laptop unless they have iMessage.

If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

  • HT6114 My wifi doesn't work on my macbook air. Says hardware not found help please!!!

Please guide me what to do about the wifi problem. says wifi hardware not found!!!

    Try an SMC reset: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
Another option would be to install the Combo Update (yes, again): http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726
If those don't solve it, take it in for repair.

  • Bluetooth was not found after upgrade to 10.4.2

Does anyone know how to bring back Bluetooth device after upgrade from 10.3.9 to 10.4.2? I've already check my system profiler, and it shows, "No information found" on the bluetooth hardware. On the Apple task, the bluetooth icon shows, "the bluetooth: not avilable", and it color is gray. Thanks.

  • T410 bluetooth device NOT FOUND

    Hello Everyone,
I have a t410, product id is 2539AJ6 (bluetooth included), running Windows 8.
however i can't get bluetooth to work, in addition it seems like there is no trace for a bluetooth device on this computer:
    - Can't install driver ("Device not found").
    - Not Recognized by Windows 8.
    - on BIOS, Security -> I/O Port blah blah -> no mention of bluetooth settings there.
where do i go from here? anybody ever encountered such an issue with bluetooth?
btw, im pretty sure there is a bluetooth device on this laptop.
    appreciate any help

Here's the Link for the 2539-AJ6, it does indicate that you have Bluetooth.  Dowload and install the latest drivers.

  • MacBook - the Airport hardware not found issue

    Hi,
has anyone here had a similar 'Airport not found' issue?
At random start ups, connection fails and I get the above message from the Network pane. Then I have to reboot the Mac to get an Airport connection again. And when I do I'm asked if it's ok for system prefs to join the wireless networks on my list - everytime.
Another thing that seems to fix it is to do a software update from Apple.
I tried trashing prefs, zapping, resetting psu and what else, but a malfunction pattern didn't emerge. Sometime it works sometime it doesn't
Because it's intermittent I'm struggling to understand if it's an hardware issue (airport failing) or something else.
I'll take to an apple centre soon, but anyone here has had a similar issue?
    thanks already
    val

cheers, I did try that. No problem found... I guess I should take it as good news

  • Wifi and Bluetooth Hardware not getting detected

Hi, I need help from HP. Wifi and Bluetooth hardware on my laptop are not getting detected. I have installed the drivers properly but the hardware  itself is not detected when I start the notebook. The wifi had problems initially but then it worked fine for sometime and now it is not detected at all. Same is the problem with bluetooth also. The hardware is not visible in the device manager itself. Please let me know the possible problems and also help me with the solution. Thank You. Model - HP Compaq 15s001-tuOS - Windows 7 64 bit.

Since the wifi and bluetooth functions come from the same mini-pcie card it seems likely it has failed.  This is the Service Manual: Your Manual See p. 61. Unfortunately getting to the module requires extensive disassembly, but short of removing the motherboard.  The wireless module itself will be very inexpensive. But you may need to pay somebody to install it.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

  • Bluetooth adapter not found

    Hi,
I've been using bluetooth (installed accordingly to wiki). Now after few days I wanted to send some files and suddenly it's not working and in system settings I've got notification, that Bluetooth adapter isn't found.
Looks like it's disabled by hardware but the laptop has only button to disable both WLAN and Bluetooth, but WLAN is working properly. I've also done some searching in BIOS if there isn't something that might fix it, but unsuccessfully, e.g. in Windows 7 it's working and as I mentioned above it has been working in Arch as well.
Anybody idea how to fix this?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Windows doesn't recognise I-pod, "hardware not found"

    Hi all,
I've looked on many different sites including this forum, but can't find an answer to my problem. I've tried to connect my new I-pod classic 80gb to my computer (windows XP) but it doesn't recognise it. The computer gets as far as the "found new hardware" window. It will then try to install the ipod, but can't find a driver for it. It says "the wizard cannot find the necessary software". If I go into the Computer Management the Ipod is visible, but with a question mark icon beside it.
The ipod connects to my husband's pc without trouble! His pc is older than mine. I can't work out why it won't work on my pc. Needless to say the ipod doesn't show up in i-tunes, either.
I would be very grateful for any help! Thanks in advance.

Try resetting the ipod first, it`s in the menue list at the bottom.
Remove and reconnect the plug into the ipod.
Boot up the PC wait until stable.
Connect USB connector to a different USB port than the one you have been using.
Check for the safely remove hardware icon in the row of icons near the clock icons.
If still not working I would suspect a corrupted windows file or the regestry files need cleaning up if you are confident to do it.
The easy way if you think it was worth it is to reset your PC to factory settings but this would mean copying your personal files to a disc or a external drive.Reloading loads of windows patches. It takes 2-3 hours, it`s a pain but it should get you over your problem.
Even easier take your PC and IPOD to a computor repair person and get them to sort it, at a price of course.

  • No HDMI and Thunderbolt- hardware not found

    Hi
I've been trying to connect my Macbook Pro to a TV via mini DP adapter and Hdmi cable but without success.
Checking through my system report, it states THUNDERBOLT - No hardware found.
Is that why I can't get to connect to an external display.

A thunderbolt adapter/cable  to HDMI should work fine in a Mini DisplayPort.
Look under About this Mac > (More info) > System Report > Graphics & Displays for your graphics devices.
What needs to happen (and often does not when dealing with TV sets) is that the TV set must be paying attention to that HDMI port when the Mac Powers on. The Mac sends a query to the device, "what is your name, and what are your capabilities?" If the device provides it, this information is reflected under Graphics and Displays.
If it is not shown, the System Preferences > Displays > (Detect Displays) Button is supposed to get the Mac to ask again.
Unless/Until that information is reflected under Graphics & Displays, the device will not show a picture.

  • Logitech bluetooth mouse not found on restarting Mac Pro

    hi
for some time now I have been using a logitech V270 bluetooth mouse with my Mac Pro which has a bluetooth 2.0 card installed. all works fine except that when i restart my Mac Pro the mouse is generally not automatically detected and i get the 'bluetooth mouse setup' screen with the message 'there isn't a mouse connected'. i then need to press the reset button on the mouse and go through the usual connection procedure.
i wonder i anyone has any advice as to how i can get this set up so that the Mac Pro automatically connects
    thanks

    Hello all -
I found a solution to this by using Bluetooth Explorer. I had previously tried this and it didn't work, however I realized that I was using an old version of Bluetooth Explorer! When I downloaded the newest version from apple, it worked like a charm and I was able to select which Bluetooth adapter I wanted to use. Switched it over to the USB dongle and it works perfect now. No more skipping mouse, woo hoo!

  • Cannot Open iDVD - required hardware not found

Hi - I have a 800Mhz iBook G3 with 256Mb ram. I purchased iLife 05, specifically to use iDVD. What I failed to do was to read the requirement that the machine needed to have a built in SuperDrive in order to burn DVDs using iDVD. However, reading through the posts in this forum, it seems that iDVD should still open and be functional, even without an internal superdrive, I just should not be able to burn through the application. However, when I try to open iDVD, I get the message that iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get around this issue?

you have the wrong processor/CPU to run iDVD...
iDVD, and the process of encoding videoDVD requires at last a G4...
I've heard of other tools, doing DVDencoding on G3 machines, but that lasts for day, if not weeks ...
plus, running OsX on such a ... "small" Mac (256MB RAM)... that is really for the ... bravehearted.. ;-))
    no personal offense...

  • T61 - Bluetooth device not found

I have just replaced the hard drive in my T61 and I've installed a new Windows 7 image.  The bluetooth device is not where to be found.  The fn f5 keys does nothing and the device manager does not see the device??  Has anyone run into this issue?

  • [SOLVED] Bluetooth adapter not found

Hello all, I'm new to Arch (but a long time Debian user).
I managed to get everything working, except for bluetooth (BCM2045B, integrated, worked fine with Debian).
lsusb shows the same bus/devices I see in Debian, but the BCM2045B is missing. Gnome-bluetooth, bluez, bluez-utils, bluez-firmware are installed, kernel is 3.14.6-1.
    Things I've tried:
    - hcitool scan returns "Device is not available: No such device"
    - hcitool dev returns "devices: <blank>"
    - systemctl status bluetooth returns "active/running" (I tried to force a restart just to be sure)
    - installing bluez-hid2hci didn't help
    - output of: lsmod | grep blue
    bluetooth 352625 5 bnep
    6lowpan_iphc 11556 1 bluetooth
    rfkill 15971 4 cfg80211,thinkpad_acpi,bluetooth
    crc16 1359 2 ext4,bluetooth
    I would appreciate any help.

Nevermind, I just found the solution was to put the following commands in my startup script:
    rfkill unblock 0
    hciconfig hci0 up
(for some reason soft-unblocking won't survive a reboot).
