S10-3 & S10-3t Tablet Specs

Are detailed specs available for the new S10-3t Tablet? In particular I'm trying to find out if it has an actual capacitance screen or some type of advanced resistance, but I'd also like more detailed information on the wireless capabilities.
Thanks much

yes, it will work on s10-3

  • Is there a way to find out my tablet specs, not general specifically mine? ideatab a-1000 f

i would like to know specs of my tablet because i bought it used and dont have box, and there is no way to know how many internal memory is supossed to bring from factory, i have tried to look on all lenovo instances and there is no a place where i can consult it with it serial number or model.
all information is general and i want specifical information to know if there is a way.
    ideatab a1000-f model 60027.
my issue is it is marking free space of 1.58 gb on internal memory, and i guess it is supossed to be a 16gb model.
waiting for someone to help me,

    Hi
You can check your tablet's specs using THIS app.
my issue is it is marking free space of 1.58 gb on internal memory, and i guess it is supossed to be a 16gb model.
Might be the 4GB ROM version (http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_ideatab_a1000-5352.php) and that ''marking free space of 1.58 gb on internal memory'' might be related to how the internal memory is partitioned(not all of that internal space/memory will be available to the user)
To see how your storage is partitioned you can use THIS app.
Also please keep in mind that (like in the SD Cards/USB Drives case) the actual available memory is a little less than the ''advertised'' one.Example:An 4GB SD Card will actually show about 3.7GB,an 8GB SD Card will show about 7.3GB and so on...
    Regards.

  • Differences between S10-2, s10-3, and S10-3t

    Hey all!
I've been looking around the internet for teardowns of the s10-2 and s10-3 netbooks, but I couldn't find any so I figured I should ask the source.  I know that the s10-2 has the ability to be hackintoshed, but I didn't know of any hardware differences between that and the s10-3 to know if it would be hackintoshable.
Also, is the s10-3t just an s10-3 with a touch screen module?
    Thanks!
    Andy

s10-2 is still at Atom N280, GMA950 and  WLAN b,g, while s10-3 and s-10-3t have N450, GMA3150 and WLAN b,g,n. The difference between the s10-3 and 3t is the touchscreen, battery, keyboard, trackpad, and motherboard layout.

  • Variable Screen lengths for S 10 *&* S10-2

Since Asus can do it - on their EEE701, why is Lenovo lagging behind?
I would sure like to see Lenovo come up with a "Scrolling" fix for the 1024x600 screen.
I've found several programs where it is difficult to access the "buttons" on a program which are hidden 99% by the Task Bar.
Yes I know that the taskbar can be moved out of the way - but I dislike that route - I'd like to see an Asus-type fix where one can select between 1024x600 & 1024x768 and an EASY way there & back again.
I'm surprised that Lenovo didn't do something about it - after all the Asus 701 has been out for a looooong time!
So - Lenovo - how about a fix???
I've got one S10 & TWO S10-2's in my house - as well as two T60p's and a R50e - so I'm mostly an IBM/Lenovo man looking for that "fix".

Hi and welcome... first i agreed with Steep ... the little astray (for asus eeepc) is a user developed tool...
and a followup User tool named Netbook Resolution Customizer N.R.C. is no further developed ,
status Version 1.0 Beta2 Jan/10/2009 and its still buggy ...
    you can  Download here ...
But no one can help you if you get trouble with this .. i wouldnt prefer this ... again its still buggy..
a "hacked" driver will help in some cases... but its still a "hacked" driver..
And overall this "NRC" will work only in XP ....
I simply dont use programs that need a higher resolution...i never understand, if we can choose a variable window size... why should a "bad program" need a fixed 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 ...
Good programed software will work in all resolution, or have matched version  for instance AntiVir or Acronis TrueImage 2010 Netbook Edition  ... thats the way software followed the hardware ...
    sincerely KalvinKlein
PS: if you have a proggy that let you not reach a choose button (its not necassary  to change the resolution)..you can try this tine tool  move me  ...
MoveME (tested on XP, may work on other versions). MoveME allows
you to RESIZE, MOVE and CENTER any dialog/window/form on
screen with easy key shortcuts. It even allows you to hide/show
the taskbar with a simple key combination.

  • S10-3bluetooth question

New here and i have had a s10-3 for a couple of months and i have a question about bluetooth... mine has never came with it and i want to find an internal option without soldering (i suck at soldering)... i just final fully disassembled and reassembled (with exception of the monitor part) my netbook and did not see any socket for a bluetooth similar to the s10 and s10-2... i have also tried the cheap 3dsp mini pcie 802.11b+g w/ bt it is supposed to be via the usb connections in the mini pcie form factor, which worked for awhile and know no longer works... tried fixing that card with constant uninstalling, reinstalling, and registry clear but with nothing... two different usb bt dongles do work using bluesoleil (just like the mini pcie card came with) and they work...
so what are my options for internal bt... i do not want to resort soldering even if i use one of the bt dongles and the pcie card as a donor to make a card

I thought the base S10-3 comes with the BT as standard. Mine is with the Broadcom BCM2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB Device.
Rather than an internal BT device, why don't you opt for a BT USB dongle. It is quite small and handy, plus quite inexpensive nowadays.

  • How can you get Adobe Photoshop Touch to open on an Android 4.1 Jellybean RCA Tablet

I am trying to help a friend of mine.  Silverday posted " I successfully purchased, downloaded Photoshop touch on my android jellybean 4.1 RCA tablet, but it freezes every time at the start up screen! How do I fix this so I can actually use Photoshop? I have tried un/installing, force stop, turning on and off my tablet....nothing seems to be working! My android fits the requirements, so why isn't this working?!"  Has anybody run across this situation.  I am very computer literate but am not familiar with the Photoshop Touch app.   Thanks...

How much storage do you have left on that 64GB SSD? 4GB ram is fairly comfortable (if you're doing absolutely nothing else) while using Flash. The paired down tablet specs are most certainly crimping the performance.
You have to know apps like Photoshop may let you brush but the application is primarily a bitmap engine which operates at memory speed and certainly has no overhead from being a multimedia, scriptable IDE. As you pile up dozens of layers, especially with vectors and filters, Photoshop will also start to lag just the same.
You have to keep in mind, you really have a tablet. The i5 1.6GHz is not a normal i5, it's a mobile i5 product. I have an i5 quad also (2500k), but the desktop model (Sandy/Ivy) runs at 3.7GHz in turbo, and that's an old model (Sandy). Also the desktop i5 has Intel HD4000 graphics which is extremely slow (outside simple video playback) and your i5 is even slower, only Intel HD3000 graphics. Clearly there's a big difference and you should expect tablet performance.
Just about the only thing you can do to increase performance, especially in a vector heavy app, is reduce any other things going on. Slim out your OS as best you can, removing any unnecessary apps or services running. Update all your drivers and if you're not using WHQL drivers for the HD3000 on your display driver you should revert back to Win7 for fully supported drivers (which is the version of Windows I think the Slate originally came with). Unless something is corrupt or no WHQL driver support exists for HD3000, I don't see what else it can be besides perhaps no WHQL support for your input driver either.
I'm on a 5 year old Dell touchscreen laptop at a higher resolution (1600x900) running an old i7 @ 1.6GHz quad (similar to yours) with 4GB DDR2 (slower) and Flash runs perfectly fine. Although I'm not running Intel HD graphics. I'm running it on a discreet ATI Mobility Radeon HD.

  • PowerShot SX40 HS. Tablet?

After looking through the internet for about 4 hours I've come to the forums for your help, I mainly use my camera for event photography and lugging around a laptop just isnt possible in some cases therefore I'm trying to set up my tablet (Archos Cobolt 80) to be able to view my photo's on the go with a on the go usb, however I'm having trouble getting it to work because simply plugging it in doesnt show the camera's photo's and finding firmware that supports the camera and tablet (its an Android OS 0.4 Ice Cream to be exact).
I've tried downloading ZoomBrowser EX but the tablet wouldn't recognise it, I'm at the moment trying to downloading the software and putting it into the tablets root directory to see if that would work in installing the software. Although I'm unsure if this will work however it does say that its compatitable with windows 7 on the tablets spec page.
Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
    -Thanks

I have tried both on and off as well as downloading the programs directly however it hasn't picked them up. In regards to the cable it does not fit my tablets usb which is why I've been given an OTG usb cable which doesn't seem to work or let my tablet pick up the camera(will test this with other tablets in the household.)
I have however tried connecting a USB MiniCardReader and put the camera's card in to be told that there was an "Damaged USBdisk
USBdisk damaged. You may have to reformat it."
Upon clicking the error it tells me that "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." Upon clicking Ok on that the background goes black and returns after a few seconds, what I assume is the system UI restarting.
Back to the USB MiniCardReader upon plugging in the camera's Sandisk it does boot up the blue light on the diskreader.
I'd like to add that this tablet was given to me as my father had gotten a newer tablet so I'am unaware as to the placement of the orginal cable that came with it. I'll give that a try if he can find it.
Edit: Apparently when we orginally got the Tablet it did not come with a USB link just a charger. However I'm going to look into getting a USB adapter for it so I can try the USB cable that came with the camera orginally.

  • Is there an Android tablet worth buying??

I bought the original IPad when it first came out and have really like it, but I'm a Android guy so I waited until they had what I thought was a great tablet spec wise to buy one. Unfortunately  this has not been at all what I had hoped for. I've  tried the gps dongle, and countless other things, spent WAY to much time on the phone with Asus and still find myself using my original IPad. It should be WAY faster than my old IPad, but I find myself either waiting on wifi or gps signal, and then my favorite thing is when the browser just locks up for no reason. So now I don't even think twice I just grab my IPad because I end up mad and wanting to smash it. So after a month or so of not even attempting to use it I decided that this is rediculess and started to turn it on and now it won't even do that it starts out with the asus screen or whatever you want to call it and then goes blank. I've tried it  50 times with the same result. I've hooked it up to my computer and it shows up with a yellow !. So I can't even get my computer to recognize it. Is there anything I can do? Would unlocking the boot loader or rooting it help so I could at least get my computer to recognize it? I'm at my wits end, from everything I've read sending it in to Asus hasn't fixed anything. Sorry for the long rant but I want so bad a Android tablet to work at least as good as my old IPad but I'm really starting to doubt that's even possible. I will take any and all suggestions.
32gb transformer prime bought online at bestbuy

I purchased the Galaxy Note 10.1 about a week ago, and so far I love it! It's my first tablet, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I mainly use it for Exchange E-mail and Citrix (remote desktop), and haven't encountered any problems so far. Also, the S-Pen stylus gives much more fine-tuned control than a touch-stylus you would use on an iPad, which is helpful in Citrix and Splashtop (another remote desktop client). There was some criticism of the Note 10.1 regarding its body style, some people feel that the back feels cheap (it's plastic) compared to the iPad or some of its other competitors, and I tend to agree to a point. I'm still happy with it so far though.

If you have bought a mac and want to get windows onto it from your old computer, have no fear. I found some great instructions on how to make a bootable windows XP cd from a PC. Not sure if it will work with Vista, but it definitely worked for XP.

    Hi and welcome,
One way is to save a recover set ... with OKR ... or better do this Backup before  ...but no way to get a  pure Windows 7 Install Disc if you mention this  ...
    And Windows 7 64 Bit will not run on Atom based machine.. i.e. S10/S10e/S10-2 ,S12 Intel/Nvidia ...
(and even when, it lacks of memory 2GB (due the intel chipset restrictions) is good for 32 Bit based systems, but not really enough for 64 Bit based systems, so there is no benefit for use a 64bit on a netbook)

  • Question about ipads features?

wanting to know if its really worth it?i mean $700 and $829 for a 64 gb? my ipod bigger then that..it seems not worth it with such little storage..i mean for the price..i mean they're really cool and the in thing to have..also i would like to know can these play flash?or is it really just like a huge ipod touch or iphone?what makes it different from those?

    Well, it depends.
I see the questions you are asking are the usual trivial 'negative' points most anti-Apple posters ask (but are not really asking a question...just trotting out over-inflated features that were never designed into the iPad to begin with)
First. Price. The iPad's start at $499. Which is for a 16gb Wifi version. The prices you brought up are for the 32gb and 64gb Wifi-3g. Which hasn't even been released yet. A good netbook (new not refurbed) will run almost as much as the $499 model. The other tablets that are available, and not vapor-ware, cost as much and have thier own 'feature set' that has shortcomings. So, the prices are in line with what's available. Not overpriced.
Second. Flash. Ok, it does not run flash. When the iPad was released all the "Technology" writers poo-pooed this 'shortcoming'. This is actually not that big an issue. Many websites like ABC, CNN, ESPN, Netflix, and soon Hulu, are all writing HTML5 or Apps that are not Flash dependant. This will still leave some sites that are not useable for the iPad (or iPhone, Touch, and some other OS's). Matter of fact the highly touted 'iPad killer' Adam by Notion Ink is being delayed becuase of Flash incompatibilties (among other reasons). The Joo-Joo can, sort-of-kinda, run Flash but according to reviews it runs everything so badly it's a non-issue.
Third. Niche. The iPad is not a phone, a laptop, a desktop, a UMD, or even a netbook. It was designed and marketed as a 'third' device. A media consumption device. It's not a Kindle but can dance to the tune. It's not an iPod but plays music very well. It's not a replacement for a laptop or desktop but can run light content creation apps. It does email very well. It has a large and varied selection of apps that can make it a light duty presentation device.
In other words, it's not an anti-matter powered, coffee dispensing, hot tub time machine. It's a very portable 'about the house' or 'coffee shop companion'. As much as the "anything but Apple" critics wanna compare it to what is availabe (and things that are not even released yet) except for the Archos 9, there isn't anything that really is in the same market. The Archos 9 is cool, but, it has it's drawbacks too. Namely running a 'desktop' OS built for keyboard and mouse input on a 'touch-screen' device. The Lenova S10-3t is another 'tablet like' device that is well-built but because of requirements of legacy products and it's OS draws 'meh' reviews. Go look them up on Amazon and read the reviews. The iPad handily beats them in the market it's designed for.
If you don't understand this..or just posted it to get a rise out of us "Apple Users" go shopping somewhere else (PC)...they'll be more than happy to take your money and give you EXACTLY what you deserve.
