S10 Vista Home Premium and Bluetooth

Windows Home Premium doesn't see my Bluetooth adapter. Whewn I download and install the driver pointed to by Kevin Kein, it says I don't have a Bluetooth device. I could have sworn the S10 had a Bluetooth adapter under XP, but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know if the S10 shipped with an integrated Bluetooth adapter?
In the interim, I am using an USB adapter with its associated software, but given that the S10 only has 2 USB drives, I'd like to free up that port. My USB external drive uses two ports when I backup my system.
Any help would be appreciated.

It probably has to do with your security and/or browser configuration.
When my laptop crashed last year and I had to get a new one, I dealt with the same thing. First, go to your control panel and select the security section. See if your firewalls are up or not. If they are, turn them off. If you have any software to speed up your browser, that can affect the connection as well. Go into that software and disble/turn it off. If this doesn't work, contact customer support. They have a few other tricks they had me try that worked, but I can't remember them now.

HP smart web printing with vista home premium and IE7

I am thinking of purchasing the Creative Cloud Application but I have Windows Vista Home Premium as my operating system. Will these 2 work together. I don't want to start a monthly subscription for something I can't use.

Which version of PhotoShop Elements should I buy for Windows Vista Home Premium and from what source?

First time buying PhotoShop. I need it for a project I'm involved with at my school, but I can't download Creative Cloud or PhotoShop Elements 13 because Vista is not supported by Adobe. However, I find it easier to find a version more fit for my computer rather than upgrade it (I'll just be brief, it's not convenient AT THIS TIME for me to attempt to upgrade my PC, even if many believe it'd be better for me).
I was just planning on looking on Amazon for PhotoShop Elements PC boxes available and going with whatever version 11 or below that was at a good price. Is this a good way to go or is there something special about purchasing CD's to download I need to be aware of? Is buying from a source like Amazon rather than straight from Adobe putting me at risk for a phony version of PhotoShop Elements (though I was looking to buy a "new" box to avoid this if I can find some)?
I'm having trouble finding WHERE Adobe sells its products from its own website rather than Creative Cloud right now. A link would very much be appreciated if such a place exists. Thank you.

Error trying to install CS4 design premium on windows vista home premium

I'm having trouble installing CS4 design premium, as soon as it does the checking system it comes up with an error that says I need windows XP sevice pack 2 and some other windows. I have Windows vista home premium and all the other requirements, so i'm not sure why it's saying that? I do have CS3 installed but I didn't want to unistall it before I installed the CS4, cause then I wouldn't have anything to work on. The CS4 is brand new and I have it installed with no problems on another computer that has windows XP. Would I have to uninstall CS3 before I try to install it? I'm afraid that I will be left with neither if I do that and this was not a cheap investment to take that chance. Does anyone know how I could get CS4 design premium installed?

You should npt have to uninstall anything except Acrobat for CS4 to install. You can call tech support for free installation support.

HELP ACR 4.6 fails to load/work in photshop CS3 running on vista home premium

Can anyone help me. i had photoshop CS3 on windows xp and it loaded up canon 450d raw files happily/and bridge worked fine- showing raw thumbnails.
now i loaded onto new laptop running vista home premium and it works that is cs3 but auto installer cannot upload new 4.6 raw update (the last one for cs3) and when i look at bridge thumbnails for raw do not work. and when attemp to load a raw file from my canon 450d into photoshop it says file not type recognised or supported or similar.i have service pack 1 installed i believe with vista.
just do not know what to do!!!

I get no browser home page; no favorites/bookmarks; no back buttons; no tools, etc. just a generic Firefox bar with preset sites which go nowhere when clicked. I have windows vista home premium. Firefox works fine on my desktop

Upgraded to latest Firefox version on my laptop w/ Vista Home Premium and get no browser page; no back buttons; no bookmarks/favorites; no address bar...nothing like a typical browser page...all I have is a cumbersome Firefox bar that has preset sites that do nothing when clicked.

I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
Two points, Steve:
1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?

JRE Missing from Advanced tab in IE 7 Vista Home premium

I have a laptop and desktop both with windows vista home premium and IE 7 and the same latest update in regards to jre. When I view this link http://www.wndu.com/skyview16 in on my desktop pc I am able to switch tabs on the site and view the different cameras. When I try to view the same site with my laptop I get a "Done, but with errors on page" in the status bar. The only difference between the 2 browsers on the laptop and desktop is that in the Advanced tab of IE 7 of the laptop there is NO JRE listed anywhere!
I have uninstalled completely removing any leftover files, folders and registry entries and reinstalled again but to no avail.

I am sorry but after doing a more thorugh look at the Advanced and Security tabs on both computers there is no mention of java on either computer except in the Manage Add Ons and everything is identical as to what is listed which now makes it more puzzling why I am getting scripting errors on the laptop with IE 7 and NOT the desktop with IE 7 as to the Done with yellow exclamation point or Error on Page.

Compaq presario CQ60 214EM Unable to retrieve contents of Discs ! Vista home premium

Can anyone shed some light on my problem please ? I have a compaq presario Vista Home premium and until this week I have been able to insert run and copy from all of my discs back on to the laptop as and when I need images. Now I cannot do anything .I manage to get as far as seeing that the disc has folders on it but I cannot retrieve anything and worse when I go into Computer and dble click the DVD RW drive (e) it shows that on a few discs a certain amount of memory has been used on the disc but when I click to view folders there is nothing to see. On other discs I am told there is nothing on them even though I can clearly see the pie chart which shows how much memory has been used and how much is still available. I dont understand why this has happened.

Is this happening with disks that worked before or do old disks work and this is happening with new recorded disks?
Were the disks made by the system or by a different system?
Do the disks work in other computers?
Do the disks look like they have scratches/smudges/fingerprints if you hold the disk at an angle?
Try reviewing the steps in this document. Skip any steps that have already been tried.
More importantly, does the DVD drive have the newest firmware listed here?
Try updating the firmware as well as the steps in the document.
Let me know what happens.

Itunes won't start on vista home premium

I installed Vista Home Premium and did a fresh install of iTunes (7.1.1.5).
iTunes won't start and gives an error (iTunes won't start):

I can't seem to find the solution in the Forums and internet.
I deinstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times but it still gives the same error.
Quicktime also won't start.
Any help is appreciated.

I deinstalled all codecs (including Nero), because windows vista solutions also pointed me in that direction, but no luck yet..
okay. we'd better try swapping out your QuickTime now that the codecs are out of the way.
sometimes with that sort of "error message free" launch failure with QuickTime, Add/Remove doesn't want to get rid of the QuickTime. so we'll try the following technique if that happens:
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
next, we'll try to get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

PS CS3 shutdown error in vista home premium

This just started and I can't figure out what changed.
I use vista home premium and photoshop cs3. The program works perfectly with no problems until I want to close the program. When I close the program, I get a windows error message saying the program has stopped working and windows is trying to correct the problem. Then a window comes up saying a problem has caused the program to stop working and windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available.
Earlier this morning, I had 2 jpeg images open, changed one and tried to save it when an error message told me that a program error occurred and it could not be saved. When I saved it as a psd file, it saved with no problems at all. Could these two be related?
I re-installed the program without removing it first and in doing so, the messages on screen said it was repairing the shared components so I figured it had found the problem and was fixing it. No joy.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

Elements 11, Vista Home Premium, Expert Edit Enhance/Adjust Lighting

I have a Vista Home Premium and Elements 11. When using Expert Edit Enhance to Adjust Lighting, the edit "tool" box covers a large part of the image. I can't figure out how to move the box out of the way so I can see the image being edited. (Everyone in the world probably knows how to do this but me.) Anyone else have this problem?

There are several adjustments under the Adjust Lighting and if your talking about the dialog that opens with say Levels you should be able
to left click on the top part of the dialog and drag the dialog.

Vista Home Premium/Homesite 5.5 - FTP - running SLOW!!!

I recently did a clean install of Vista Home Premium and
installed Homesite 5.5. Everything works great, except it takes 2-3
times longer to open and save files through FTP & RDS.
Any ideas???

LR5 will only work on W7 or W8. Adobe no longer supports Windows Vista.
LR4 was the last version to work on Vista.
