S10e "No Local Bluetooth device was detected"

After a fresh install of XP I get this error with my bluetooth.  I have reinstalled the driver with the Lenovo driver off the web.  Still nothing.
In Device Manager I have a "Bluetooth Bus Enumerator" and an Unknown device.
All drivers have been installed that were provided on the Lenovo website.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi 3dmb, Fn F5 nothing happens...
but should this menu... the Lenovo Wireless Device Setting Menu
if you install the Energymanagement, you got the onscreen symbols...
... by the way ...
you did a fresh install with XP servicepack 3 hopefully
not a slimline XP as ...no nlited ...fully updated ...
and without yellow mark in the device manager...
otherwise you got unforeseen circumstances...
In Device-Manager go to Broadcom 2046 Bluetooth 2.1 USB Dongle click on it right mouse
in the menu
de-install
and  search for changed hardware (should  find and reinstall the driver) ...
when no yellow warnings in device-manager... !
....go back to Bluetooth neighbourhood..
.....make your device visible (mobile) .. switch it on (mouse)...
press ...
... search for devices in neighbourhood....

  • "no local Bluetooth device was detected" in T60p 2623D8U XP SP3 (clean install)

Everything was working fine until I discovered that my favorite four yr old T60p wont see my Targus Bluetooth laser mouse. Before the clean install (did due to a virus attack!) I could pair the mouse (and my nokia phone) with the Thinkpad without any problems. But now it wont detect any Bluetooth device in vicinity.
    (1) Is there a issue with lenovo T60/T60p drivers for Bluetooth and SP2/SP3 installation.
    (2) By the way what should I see in my device manager  with the Bluetooth?
I could not find any fix on the internet. Waiting for the experts in this forum to give me a solution soon.
    Cheers,
    Jay
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Ok, mine is solved. Un-installed the BT driver from device manager (view using hidden option if required). Un-installed all BT related related softeares from the control panel, went to lenovo site and re-insintalled all BT drivers for my machine. Everything is working fine for me now. Jay

  • No local (attachable) JVM was detected

    Hi,
I see the error [0] on launching JMC. I had a look at the FAQ [1], however I haven't had any luck so far. Any hints on how this could be fixed ?
[0] No local (attachable) JVM was detected, not even the JVM running this instance...
    [1] Frequently Asked Questions
    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I will try to remember any other reasons that this might happen.
If you start jconsole, does it show any local jvms?
If you run jcmd as the same user that started jmc, what does that list?
What platform are you on, what version of JDK and JMC?

  • HT3986 Hello, as a extremely advanced user, after trying to install Targus AMB09EU on 64bit Windows 7, I have reached a stage where no new Bluetooth devices are detected, while Apple wireless kb+mouse still work perfectly, can somebody give any input plea

The device I tried to install was Targus AMB09EU mouse.
The end result was losing ability to detect any new Bluetooth devices, although Apple kb+mouse works.
    Any input would be appreciated.

This really is a question best aimed at Microsoft and Targus user forums, you may not get an answer here.

    hi,
my iphone 4s is not being detected by my macbook pro. i have the at&t 2 GB dataplan. i would like to transfer some of my files from my mac to the iphone. please help....
    thanks.....

    Hello,
On the Microsoft Windows 7 partition, try installing the ThinkVantage System Update software and then using it to download and install any missing ThinkPad-specific device drivers and software.  After it has finished updating your system, if Bluetooth is not already available, try using Fn+F5 to bring up the communications software and enable it from there.

  • Discovering Multiple local Bluetooth devices

    Hi,
I have been searching for this issue, I know there are some ways of discovering with java one single Bluetooth dongle connected to your PC (like http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Retrieving_name_and_address_of_local_Bluetooth_device_in_Java_ME )
Is there any way of discovering multiple local dongles?
    Thanks!

I second that question for my Audi A4. Have the phone paired with the car via Bluetooth for calling, but don't want to use the Audi AMI cable for playing music, as that fixes the iPhone to the "Accessory enabled" screen ( know I can get around that by jailbreaking) and start Auto Play. I'd like to use the iSkin Cerulean RX Bluetooth dongle instead, and plug that into the Audo AMI cable.
But I'd have to have my iPhone paired to both the car (for phone) and the Cerulean RX (for A2DP audio) simultaneously. Is that possible? Anyone?

  • Bluetooth device detection

    Hi everyone!
(I am newb at Java, and im looking for a very simple application (i think), but im not sure how to find what im looking for, i tried sourceforge.net, but i dont know how to run the java source files.)
What im looking for is an app for PC that searches for bluetooth devices in the area, and logs their MAC address into a file (preferably .xml)
It should continuously search for devices, and update the .xml file everytime it finds a new device, or an old one dissapears, so i always know what devices are in the area at this excact moment.
Have you ever heard of such a thing, or do you simply have some good keywords for me to use :) Either way i would be very thankful for your help! :)
    Cheers,
    Lars

Ok, here is my code a bit more formatted:

    agent.startInquiry(DiscoveryAgent.GIAC,this);
//we lock the thread and wait the end of the current inquiry

  • Dell Bluetooth 365 not detected in Windows 10 Technical Preview (Builds 10041 and 10049)

When I installed Windows 10 build 10041 on my 2009 Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop my Bluetooth 365 stopped working.  On investigation I saw that Bluetooth had disappeared from Device Manager completely, but no yellow '!' was apparent anywhere.   When I checked the BIOS the Bluetooth card was present.  I researched the issue for a couple of hours and realised that Dell did not have a Bluetooth 365 driver for anything later than Windows 7. (That Windows 7 driver had worked in Win 8/Win 8.1).  I discovered that the card is made by  Broadcomm and is also used by Lenovo in some of its laptops.  I downloaded the following driver from Lenovo's support site and installed it.  When prompted, click the 'update software' button, and a further installation will run.  If you wish, have Device Manager open and you will see the drivers and devices install.
    support.lenovo.com/.../ds031759
It worked perfectly and my Bluetooth card was detected and configured and now all my Bluetooth devices work with Windows 10.
The Dell 1545 with Bluetooth is a great workhorse PC and it would have been a shame if it could not have been used with Windows 10.  I hope it is not a sign of forced obsolescence by Dell, and that they will release Win 10 drivers for this venerable old laptop. It is a shame to have to go to a competitor for a driver. Judging by my web research there are many of this model still in everyday use.  I trust this will be of use to other users.

There is a universal Broadcom Bluetooth Update which would cover this also:

  • Video device not detected

I am new to using flash media live encoder, very little
knowledge on how this works. I downloaded it today and plugged my
JVC HD 110 with firewire and got the error message that no video
device was detected when I opened the application. I also tried
using my Sony Handycam connecting it with a USB and still nothing.
I am running the encoder on the PC side of my Mac using Parallels.
    Any thoughts?

The Mac thing may throw this for a loop, but try buying a
Dazzle RCA to USB converter (yes, even if your camera already has
USB-sometimes cameras does not have a setting to allow the video
    out in real time).
Once you connect the Dazzle (they are at every computer store
'Micro Center', etc.), it will be in the list to select, if it
already isn't the systems selected choice-you will be able to
select it. Now, if your video camera does not have RCA and it has
the 1/8 inch or any other plug-you may be back to scratch (if you
have the 1/8 inch-you can adapt that to RCA and continue from
    there).
    Good Luck!

  • Since updating to iOS 8.1 my Bluetooth doesn't detect any devices

Since updating to iOS 8.1 my Bluetooth doesn't detect any devices

    Good Morning Denise -
Sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to your Wi-Fi network.  I'll include a few more things that you can try to troubleshoot this below.  The first thing that I'm wondering is if you cannot connect to your Wi-Fi at home -- are you able to connect to a different Wi-Fi network (at work, a local coffee shop, etc.)?  That would be one of the first things to try.
Turning the modem and router in your house of and then on is also a common step as it "reinitializes" everything.  Hopefully, one of the steps below will help you with this.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051
    Restart.
For more help, try restarting your device, router, or cable/DSL modem. After each step, check to see if you fixed the issue.
      • Restart your iOS device.
      • Unplug your router and plug it back in.
      • Unplug your cable or DSL modem and plug it back in.
    Still can’t connect?
Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.
    Get more help
Try connecting to a Wi-Fi network in a different location. If your device can connect, you’ll need to get help with your Wi-Fi network. If it can’t connect to any Wi-Fi networks, contact Apple.

  • Bluetooth device is not detected during installation of bluetooth driver

Hi , Initialy bluetooth was working properly, Few day ago I saw that there was no bluetooth icon in system trayas well as in list device manager. So I uninstalled the driver and try to install. But during installation it showthat bluetooth device in not detected and it exit.

Downloads the Windows 7 Hotkey Features. This will enable the wireless console with Fn+F5. Then you can enable bluetooth from there. Windows's built-in bluetooth drivers should work fine, maybe even with an update from WU if you're lucky.

Edit: Don't forget to download the System Interface Driver too.
